Abstract

The Semarang City continues make improvements to become a safe city. However, several natural disasters such as floods, tidal waves, and landslides are still an annual problem, especially during the rainy season. An alert and alert community needs to be nurtured and provided with sufficient education to take an active role in their environment. The service program in collaboration with PMI Semarang City is expected to be able to train the capabilities of the community who are prepared for disasters, as well as to form an alert character in dealing with medical emergencies. The method used in this service is in the form of training and knowledge sharing followed by question and answer. The training activity with material on Basic Life Support was attended by 30 participants consisting of RT representatives and community youth. Not only presentation of the material but also initial practical training such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). At the end of the training, an evaluation of the material that has been delivered and how the level of understanding of the participants after attending the training is carried out. With the training, the people of Tembalang become more confident after carrying out the training, because they get new experience and knowledge that can be applied when a disaster occurs anytime.

Abstract

Basically, every high school graduate will continue their education to higher education level either at universities, institutes, colleges, polytechnics and academies. Therefore, it is very important for graduates to make plans to continue their education, by getting information about the colleges that will be chosen by graduates so that they are not wrong in making decisions to continue their education, with good planning, graduates will get a future which is also good, because the graduates have made good decisions in continuing their education to the tertiary level. Every child must have ideals about his future, where these ideals become the vision and mission of his life which will be obtained with the help of education. Currently, high school graduates do not really understand how to choose a major in lectures, so many graduates are less successful in their education and less successful in finding work. This service program is carried out using the lecture/socialization method, with the aim that graduates and parents can choose the right college. Based on the results of the service program in the field, it can be explained that the service program can run successfully where only 15% of participants do not understand and do not understand this service program and 85% understand and understand this service program very well.

Abstract

In the current era of technological progress, many institutions have used and taken advantage of these technological advances. Not only large-scale institutions or organizations, small-scale institutions or organizations have also taken advantage of the role of this technology. Likewise with Mangga Dua Village which has taken advantage of these technological advances. Mangga Dua Village collaborates with Karang Taruna to assist in the process of disseminating information conveyed to communities outside Mangga Dua Village by utilizing the role of technology. In Mangga Dua Village, the role of Karang Taruna is to help advance and develop Mangga Dua Village. One of the main roles of Karang Taruna is to assist in the use of technology for the process of product marketing activities produced by the community in Mangga Dua Village. The promotion process for Mangga Dua Village products and also the Mangga Dua Village profile will later be carried out in the form of videos to make it easier to see the message conveyed. The lack of knowledge or expertise of Karang Taruna members is because there is still no training or assistance in the process of creating video content. The video editing process has now been helped a lot with free applications that can be accessed and used by anyone. Video editing training conducted by the Budi Darma University dedication team to members of the Mangga Dua Village Youth Organization is useful for assistance in video editing and also aims to increase creativity for Karang Taruna members.

Abstract

This community service is carried out against the background of the wishes of the market head and traders who want to give satisfaction to buyers who shop at the Kertasari market. To give satisfaction to buyers, one way that can be taken is to provide the best service. Therefore, the purpose of this service is to provide understanding to market leaders and traders about the process of providing the best quality service. This service is in the form of a day training with resource persons: Dr. I Putu Gde Sukaatmadja, SE, MP, and continued with weekly consultations or mentoring after 2 times of training. This service takes place in the Kertasari Market, Badung Regency. After the service is carried out, the traders know the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of service, from greeting, serving with a smile, to saying thank you. If it can be implemented properly, then buyer satisfaction at the Kertasari Market, Badung Regency will increase.

Abstract

Mercury is an additive that is often added in cosmetics whose function is to produce white, clean, and smooth facial skin instantly. Seeing the instant results, many women continue to use mercury-based cosmetics. Mercury is strictly prohibited from being used in cosmetic preparations, because of its very strong toxicity to the organs of the kidneys, nerves, and brain. The purpose of this community service is to provide information about the mercury contained in cosmetics and explain how to identify the mercury. The method used in this community service is counseling, namely providing information about the use of cosmetics, prohibited and dangerous materials that are often used in cosmetics, and exposure on how to choose safe cosmetics, namely identifying cosmetic preparations visually. Furthermore, students were given a questionnaire with the aim of knowing the students' understanding after being given counseling. The activity was carried out at the Cut Meutia Pharmacy Vocational School. The results of the questionnaire show that 97 percent of students have understood how to choose safe cosmetics and can identify cosmetics visually in cosmetics containing mercury.
