Abstract

Climate change is one of the biggest global challenges of the 21st century with far-reaching impacts on various sectors, including public health. This research aims to study how climate change affects the spread of infectious diseases in urban environments, with an emphasis on environmental and behavioural factors that influence the spread of disease. The quantitative method used in this study is descriptive-analytic design. Descriptive research is used to describe the phenomenon of the spread of infectious diseases in urban environments associated with climate change components such as air temperature, rainfall, and humidity. Over five years, the incidence rate of dengue fever in West Sumatra has fluctuated and continued to increase. As shown, the rainfall pattern is changing and increasing. The picture shows a trend of increasing rainfall along with an increase in the number of dengue cases. However, there is a time difference, or time lag, between the increase in cases. Every region should have an early warning system for extraordinary dengue events. As climatic factors change, environmental improvements are also needed along with changes in other factors such as behaviour and health services.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the National Health Insurance (JKN) program through BPJS Kesehatan has been launched with the aim of improving accessibility and quality of health services for the entire population. However, despite the existence of an extensive insurance system, challenges to the effectiveness of this system still exist, particularly in terms of access, quality of care, and health facility management (Dinkes Kulonprogo, 2018; Tahir, 2017). This study aims to analyze the relationship between access, quality of health services, and the effectiveness of the health insurance system, as well as how these factors affect the success of the health insurance program in improving public health status. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, where data on access, quality, and health services are collected simultaneously from health insurance participants, especially BPJS Kesehatan users. The t table price at the 5% error rate = 1.98 and 1% error rate = 2.617. Thus the H1 hypothesis can be accepted because there is a positive relationship between X and Y as evidenced by the processing results of t count = 17.195 > t table = 1.98. This study suggests that to improve the effectiveness of JKN implementation through BPJS health, continuous improvement is needed, especially to instill government concern for the poor.

Abstract

According to data from the International Labor Organization (ILO), the construction industry accounts for nearly 20% of all workplace accidents that occur worldwide. This emphasizes the importance of continued efforts to improve work safety in this sector (Artha Safety, 2024). In addition, the application of smart technology can also help improve operational efficiency, enable faster identification of risks, and enable more effective interventions before accidents occur. Therefore, this research aims to take a closer look at the role of smart technology in improving work safety in the construction environment. This research used a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Literature study, primary data collection, and data analysis are the three main stages of this research. From the available data, it can be seen that the adoption of smart technologies, including AI, IoT, and wearable devices, has a significant impact on reducing accidents in the construction sector. Not only a decrease in fatal accidents, but also an increase in workers' awareness of physical conditions and potential hazards on the job site. However, some challenges such as worker resistance and implementation costs still need to be overcome through education and management support. Implementing these technologies requires a comprehensive approach, including intensive training and education for workers, as well as management support to overcome resistance and implementation cost challenges. This investment in smart technology will ultimately lead to a safer, more efficient and productive work environment in the future.

In this study, we aim to look at efforts to prevent pulmonary TB transmission in families through backing family. Research method based on the concept of observational analytical research with cross-sectional study techniques to describe and examine what factors are related to the incidence of TB transmission in families or households. Result. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the incident and preventive measures, with a p value of 0.046. Based on the results of the analysis, those who were highly knowledgeable (10%), had a 75% risk of developing pulmonary tuberculosis. The results of this study show that family members who lack knowledge about the prevention of pulmonary tuberculosis and who are at risk of pulmonary TB transmission have a high risk of transmission. The implementation of the pulmonary TB transmission prevention program needs to be maximized by the local authorities comprehensively so that the reduction in pulmonary TB can be achieved quickly.
