The Open Defection Free (ODF) program is a government program that aims to change hygienic and sanitary behavior through community empowerment so that the community independently improves good health status. The urgency of this research is due to the lack of public awareness of the importance of hygiene and health. In Warudoyong Sub-district, Sukabumi City, there are still people in two villages who practice open defecation. Based on data from the Sukabumi City Health Office, from 2019 to 2022 there was no decrease in open defecation rates in Nyomplong Village and Warudoyong Village. The research method used a descriptive qualitative method with a snowball sampling technique and the number of respondents was six informants. The result of this research is that the ODF program in Warudoyong Sub-district, Sukabumi City has not been running optimally, due to the lack of public awareness about the importance of the ODF program and limited land for the construction of communal septic tanks. Therefore, the recommendation for this research is the need for community roles and cooperation to improve facilities for the construction of communal septic tanks so that people can improve the quality of clean and healthy living, and increase socialization media by utilizing social media to provide information about the benefits of the ODF program to increase knowledge for the community.

Abstract

there are still many BUMDes that do not operate, do not submit reports, their establishment is not supported by feasibility studies and they have not been orderly in their administration and reports The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. To obtain data and information, researchers conducted interviews with managers of Village-Owned Enterprises and the Pulo Jantan Village community. The data that has been obtained is analyzed using Kristianten's Transparency theory, namely Availability and Accessibility of Documents, Clarity and Completeness of Information, Process Openness and Regulatory Frameworks that Guarantee Transparency. Based on the research conducted, it can be seen that the Transparency of Management of Village-Owned Enterprises cannot be said to be Transparent. This is shown in the Document Availability and Accessibility indicator, namely the absence of publication media as a form of easy access provided to the public. The second indicator is Clarity and Completeness of Information, namely information related to the annual village meeting is still not clearly provided to the community. The third indicator is Process Openness, namely information related to the BUMDes program management process is still not optimally provided to the community.

Abstract

This study explores the challenges and solutions of education policy in border areas through a narrative literature review approach. Based on an analysis of 14 previous research articles, it was found that border areas face significant constraints in the education sector, including limited infrastructure, lack of qualified teaching staff and low community participation. Existing education policies are often inappropriate for the specific conditions of border areas, requiring adjustments that take into account local characteristics and the active involvement of all stakeholders. Proposed solutions include collaborative approaches, strengthening locally-based character education and improving educational infrastructure and resources. In addition, the government is expected to improve the quality and welfare of educators through special incentives and professional training. Effective education policies that are responsive to local needs are expected to improve the equity and quality of education in border areas, providing equal opportunities for all children to get a quality education. The results of this study emphasize the importance of regular policy monitoring and evaluation to ensure successful implementation.

Abstract

Agricultural land conversion is a crucial issue in facing the challenges of food security and natural resource conservation. Sidrap District, as one of the agricultural regions in Indonesia, faces significant pressure related to agricultural land conversion. Therefore, the implementation of local government supervision policies is very important. This research aims to analyse the implementation of local government supervision policies on agricultural land conversion in Sidrap Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with data sources from interviews, documentation, and observation. The data of this study used Nvivo 12 Plus to obtain relevant analyses. The findings of this study show that in the implementation of the policy to monitor the conversion of agricultural land in Sidrap District, there are two main approaches, namely preventive and repressive approaches, which work together to maintain the integrity of agricultural land. The preventive approach focuses on prevention efforts, while the repressive approach aims to enforce regulations with appropriate sanctions. In addition, determinant factors such as communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure also play a crucial role in this overall process. With a holistic effort involving effective coordination between relevant agencies and improvements to these determinant factors, Sidrap district has the potential to maintain agricultural sustainability and food security in the future.
