Abstract

The estimation of seicmic wave velocity in the subsurface is one of the most important process in seismic data processing. The result is very crucial for the conversion af seismic data fromtime section into depth section.            The N-th Root Stack which has not been widely used in the industry in fact a powerful method for estimating seismic wave velocity from seicmic record. The method attenuates the background/random noise effectiviely which facilitates tre fitting of the velocity spectrum can be done anccurately. In addition, the noise is also effectivdy suppressed during the CDP stackins, yielding the clear inrim i doking amplitude            Synthetic records have been used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the N-th Root Stack Comparison with the Delay and Sum method also demonstrate the superiority of the N-th Root Stack.

Abstract

The gross enistal structure of the Makassar basin has been interpreted from gravity anomalies in confunction with bore hole information and seismic reflection data, Considerubly attenuated conrinental crust appears to underline the basin which reflect a single episode of continental rifring, that has been active in the area during Eocene. Lower Miocene times. The implication of that interpretation for tectonic model are discussed and the overall evolution of the basin from  Middle Jurassic onward proposed.

Abstract

            In preparation for possible future scarcity of lead alkylate as well as due to environmental consideration in the country, studies are being conducted in Indonesia on the late of Oxygenated Organic compounds as octane boosting components. Methyl ter-butyl ether (MTBE) has received a great deal of attention on account of its relatively better characteristic in comparison with other oxygenates.            Since the use of MTBE affects the front-end volatility of gasoline, it is decmed interesting to present in this paper the results of a study on the effects of this compound on the vapour-liquid ratio of typical Indonesian premium gasoline. Although V/L ratio has not been an item in Indonesia gasoline specification, it is nevertheless a good measure of the vapour lock tendency of the fuel.

Abstract

There are two basic incentives in blending MTBE in gasoline for a country like Indonesia , te. To improve the octane quality and to reduce the lead content in gasoline. Changes in physical and chemical properties of gasoline will also occur, accompanying the improvement of the octane number. The blends used in this study were made in four concentrations, viz 3, 6, 10 and 15 volume percent MTBE in unleaded gasoline. The test results were compared to the indonesian specification of premium gasoline.
