Abstract

This research study used the oil-field brines (Produced Water) from West Java as a test material and aimed to discover the short term and long term effects on the test plant. The chemical properties of such oil-field brines were also examined and classified

Abstract

B. stearothermophillus was isolated from among microbes recovered from a formation water from an oil field in Indonesia, where the temperature was 55°CLaboratory experiment was conducted to measure the growth, and to study the effects of its activity on the physical characteristics of reservoir rock and crude oil in an oil well.
SYNTHETIC SEISMIC RECORDS FROM HETEROGENEOUS MEDIA USING THE RAY TRACING METHOD Ahmad Yusuf; Djoko Rubyanto; Suprajitno Munadi

Abstract

Ray tracing method can be used to generate artificial seismic records from a heterogeneous medium which depend on the structure and stratification of the geologic model. The ray tracing method is a forward modelling process which is able to visualize the seismic wave propagation and its corresponding seismic record from different geologic models, so that the dominant parameters which control the model can be understood.
UTILIZATION OF REMOTELY SENSED DATA TO GEOTHERMAL, OIL AND GAS DEVELOPMENT M. Husen

Show Abstract | Download Original | Original Source | Check in Google Scholar | DOI: 10.29017/SCOG.18.1.1103

Abstract

Some of LEMIGAS experiences in the utilization of remotely sensed data will be briefly discussed, these are : Jambi Sub Basin and North East Java Basin for Preliminary and advanced oil and gas exploration respectively. Dieng field for geothermal exploration, and Balikpapan offshore for sea water quality assessment. It is hoped, through this information, better understanding of the operational aspects and appreciation of the subject can be achieved.
