Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how much physical condition (power, endurance and strength) is related to the performance of West Java rowing athletes at PON Papua 2021. The population of this research is all canoing and TBR rowing athletes at West Java PON Papua 2021. The instrument used is observation. tests and measurements of physical condition abilities. The analysis technique is a correlational method. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the author obtained conclusions that can be drawn from research regarding the influence of power, endurance and strength on the performance of West Java rowing athletes at the 2021 Papua PON. The research results show that the significance value of each variable, namely power (X1), is Sig. 0.52 > 0.05, which means there is no relationship between power and the performance of West Java rowing athletes at PON Papua 2021, endurance (X2) is Sig. 0.01 < 0.05, which means there is a relationship between endurance and the performance of West Java rowing athletes at PON Papua 2021, strength (X3) is Sig. 0.21 > 0.05, which means there is no relationship between strength and the performance of West Java rowing athletes at PON Papua 2021 and simultaneously or jointly the Sig value. 0.049 < 0.050, which means that there is a relationship between physical condition and the performance of West Java rowing athletes at PON Papua 2021.

Abstract

Dermatophytes are a skin disease caused by mycosis or fungi found on the skin. This fungus has the potential to grow in tropical environments and high humidity. Indonesia is a part of the country that has a tropical environment and high humidity, so it has the potential for disease and skin infections caused by pathogenic fungi. Trycophyton mentagrophytes and Trycophyton rubrum are pathogenic fungi that can cause dermatophytes. Long-term use of synthetic drugs causes resistance to the fungus and also irritation of the skin organs, so traditional treatments need to be reaffirmed which have been used for generations. One traditional or herbal-based treatment is to use kecombrang flowers which are extracted through 96% ethanol. This is because the phytochemical content of the kecombrang plant has been proven to have various pharmacological activities, especially in inhibiting the growth of pathogenic fungi. This research aims to provide the latest scientific information regarding the growth inhibitory power of pathogenic fungi from 96% ethanol extract of kecombrang flower plant organs in inhibiting the growth of the two test pathogenic fungi. This resistance test was carried out using the well method. The results of this research have proven that the ethanol extract of kecombrang flowers correlates positively and comprehensively as an antidermatophyte and it can be concluded that a concentration of 15% is the optimal treatment as an antidermatophyte

Abstract

A health problem that occurs during adolescence, puberty and sensitive facial skin is acne. Acne that arises apart from being supported by hormonal factors, on the other hand, can also be caused by the uncontrolled activity of normal flora, causing a decrease in self-confidence in socializing with the environment. Bacteria that initially become normal flora on facial skin then grow because they are uncontrolled and a person's level of cleanliness decreases, ideally in the form of Staphylococcus aureus (SA) and Propinobacterium acnes (PS). Efforts to prevent the growth of bacteria that cause acne, apart from consuming nutritious food, also recommend using cosmetics made from natural ingredients and have antibacterial properties. One of the cosmetics used to maintain cleanliness and prevent the growth of acne-causing bacteria is a gel mask. The advantage of the gel mask preparation is that it does not cause heat, feels cool, and is able to remove dirt from facial skin optimally. The gel mask preparation used in this research was 96% ethanol extract of the kecombrang flower plant. Combrang flowers have been proven to contain phytochemicals which are effective as a source of antibacterial properties. This research aims to provide the latest scientific information on each formulation and gel mask preparation made from the active ingredient 96% ethanol extract of kecombrang flowers in inhibiting the growth of the two test bacteria, namely SA and PS. This research is an experimental laboratory by making a formulation and preparation of a gel mask using the active ingredient 96% ethanol extract of the kecombrang flower plant at a concentration of 5%; 10% ; and 15%. The results of this research have proven that each gel mask preparation correlates positively as an antibacterial for SA and PS. The conclusion in this study is that a concentration of 15% is the optimal concentration as an antibacterial for SA and PS

Abstract

Tomatoes are one of the horticultural commodity crops that are easy to obtain and have various benefits such as being a functional food ingredient and an active ingredient in medicines and cosmetics. Tomatoes contain bioactive compounds, especially vitamin C, which plays an important role as a source of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer. The increasing productivity of tomato plants is one of the targets for every horticultural farmer to distribute to various industries, both food and pharmaceutical industries. Tomatoes, which are one of the horticultural commodity crops, are easily damaged, have a short shelf life, rot and also wilt easily, which can be caused by attacks by pathogenic fungi, namely Fusarium oxysporum and Fusarium solani. The solution to overcome these two attacks by pathogenic fungi is to use herbal plant extracts which are quite environmentally friendly and have pharmacological activity in inhibiting the growth of pathogenic fungi, one of which is the ethanol extract of kecombrang flowers. This research aims to provide the latest scientific information regarding the potential of 96% ethanol extract from kecombrang flower plants with concentrations of 1%, 3% and 5% in inhibiting the growth of both pathogenic fungi. Tests for the inhibition of the growth of these two pathogenic fungi were carried out using the well method. The results of this research have proven that kecombrang flower plant extract has overall inhibitory power and a concentration of 5% is the optimal treatment in inhibiting the growth of both pathogenic fungi.
