Abstract

In 2021, there was an increase in Covid-19 cases in Indonesia due to low public awareness in implementing health protocols, especially the use of masks. The KKN program in Mandirancan Village, Kebasen, Banyumas aims to support efforts to handle Covid-19 through socialization of health protocols as a preventive measure. This activity was carried out using the Participatory Learning and Action method, Participatory Rural Appraisal, and interviews to gather information. This program succeeded in increasing the awareness and response of the Mandirancan Village community to the implementation of the Covid-19 health protocol and vaccination.

Abstract

Lack of public awareness of implementing health protocols has led to an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, including in Mekarjaya Village, Bandung. One of the objectives of the Thematic KKN activities in Mekarjaya Village, Bandung is to distribute masks as an effort to prevent Covid-19. The methods used are Participatory Learning and Action and Participatory Rural Appraisal, then continued with information collection using the on-the-spot survey method. The results of the mask distribution activities by these students have increased the response and awareness of the community in Mekarjaya Village, Bandung in implementing health protocols.

Abstract

Covid-19 which emerged in early 2020 has had a major impact, especially on the Indonesian people, both in terms of economic, social and health impacts. Throughout 2020 to 2021, the increase in Covid-19 in Indonesia has increased sharply. The increase in Covid-19 is due to low public awareness of prevention efforts and minimal public interest in vaccination at the beginning of the pandemic, especially the people of Sukajadi Village, Ciamis Regency. One solution that can be provided is to educate residents of Sukajadi Village, Ciamis Regency about the importance of Covid-19 vaccination and correct hoax news about vaccination. The purpose of this vaccination education activity is to increase public awareness, especially in Sukajadi Village, Ciamis, regarding Covid-19 vaccination. The method used is the Participatory Rural Appraisal method and survey. The results of this activity can increase the awareness of residents of Sukajadi Village about the importance of vaccination.

Abstract

WHO officially declared Covid-19 a global pandemic, with the first case in Indonesia reported in March 2020. In January 2021, there was a spike in cases in Indonesia, one of which was caused by low public awareness of implementing health protocols, especially in the use of masks. As one solution, free masks were distributed to residents of Grendeng Village. This program aims to reduce the spread of Covid-19 while providing education on how to use masks properly (covering the mouth and nose) and providing an appeal to always wear masks when doing activities outside the home, according to government recommendations. The methods used in this activity were direct assistance and surveys. The results showed an increase in public awareness of the importance of using masks when leaving the house to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Abstract

Covid-19 which emerged in early 2020 has had a major impact on Indonesian society, especially in economic, social, and health aspects. Throughout 2020 to 2021, the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia increased sharply, one of which was due to low public awareness of prevention efforts. As a solution, the latest information related to Covid-19 was published through posters distributed on social media such as WhatsApp and Instagram. This step aims to be a rapid prevention effort, especially in Sukajadi Village, Ciamis Regency. The purpose of this publication activity is to increase public awareness of Covid-19 prevention while providing information on the latest developments in Covid-19 cases. The methods used in this activity include *Participatory Rural Appraisal* to actively involve community participation, as well as surveys to understand the information needs of the community. The results of this activity show an increase in understanding and awareness of Sukajadi Village residents regarding the importance of accurate information related to Covid-19.
