Abstract

Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of neoliberal policies on social welfare in developing countries, focusing on the implementation of free market principles, privatization, deregulation, and a reduced role of the state in the economy. While these policies aim to improve economic efficiency and growth, this research finds that neoliberal implementation in developing countries often exacerbates social inequality and reduces the poor's access to basic services such as health, education and social protection. The research identifies negative impacts such as public sector privatization that increases costs for low-income earners, deregulation that makes workers more vulnerable to exploitation, and social budget cuts that reduce the quality of services for marginalized groups. Although some countries experienced economic growth as a result of these policies, the unequal distribution of economic benefits led to increased social inequality. This article suggests the need for more inclusive and sustainable economic policies that can mitigate the negative impacts of neoliberalism, as well as strengthen social security and access to basic services in developing countries.

Abstract

Accounting digitalization has become a trend that is increasingly adopted by companies as part of a broader digital transformation. This change is believed to improve operational efficiency and support faster and more accurate decision making. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of accounting digitalization on operational efficiency and corporate decision making. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview and survey techniques in several companies in the trade, service and manufacturing sectors. The results showed that accounting digitalization has a significant positive impact on operational efficiency through process automation, reduction of human error, and more efficient document management. In addition, digitization also improves data access speed and accuracy of financial reports, which in turn supports more timely and data-driven decision-making. However, challenges in implementation, such as initial costs and employee resistance, are still obstacles that need to be overcome. The implications of this study suggest that companies should conduct careful planning and employee training to ensure a successful transition to a digital accounting system. This research also contributes to the literature in the field of accounting digitalization and provides insights for policies that support digital transformation in the business sector.

Abstract

Banking digitalization in the Revolution 5.0 era plays a key role in accelerating financial inclusion by leveraging digital technology to expand access to financial services for previously underserved communities. Technologies such as mobile banking, fintech, and blockchain have enabled faster, cheaper, and more accessible financial transactions, even by those who live in remote areas or do not have access to traditional banking services. However, challenges related to data security, cyber threats, inequality of access to technology, and low digital literacy are the main obstacles in realizing comprehensive financial inclusion. This study aims to examine the opportunities and risks associated with banking digitalization in the Revolution 5.0 era, as well as suggest strategies to overcome these challenges. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is needed to build a more equitable digital infrastructure, increase digital literacy, and develop regulations that protect the security of user data and transactions. With an inclusive and coordinated approach, banking digitalization is expected to create a more efficient, fair, and sustainable financial system, as well as provide broader economic opportunities for all levels of society.

Abstract

Abstract

The application of blockchain technology in Indonesia's financial sector offers great potential to improve the transparency, efficiency, and security of the financial system. Blockchain allows for permanent and transparent recording of transactions, thereby reducing the risk of fraud and data manipulation, as well as increasing public trust in the financial system. The technology also has the potential to reduce international transaction costs, speed up payment processes, and reduce reliance on intermediaries, allowing financial services to become more affordable and efficient. However, Indonesia faces various challenges in implementing blockchain, including regulatory clarity that risks creating legal uncertainty, limited digital infrastructure that is evenly distributed across the region, and a lack of skilled human resources in this technology. To overcome these challenges, collaboration between governments, regulators, and the private sector is needed to create policies that support blockchain development, strengthen digital infrastructure, and improve the quality of education and training in the field of blockchain technology. The great potential of blockchain in accelerating the transformation of Indonesia's financial sector towards a more inclusive, efficient, and transparent system will be the main driver of sustainable digital economic growth.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has transformed the way many businesses operate, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This article explores the impact of implementing information technology on operational efficiency in SMEs. Through case studies and surveys of various SMEs in Indonesia, particularly in Tangerang Raya, data was collected on the use of information technology and changes in operational efficiency. The research results show that process automation is a key factor in improving efficiency, optimizing resource management, reducing operational costs, increasing the speed and accuracy of decision-making, and implementing information technology in SME business processes. This technology enables SMEs to optimize and reduce operational costs, as well as increase customer satisfaction. In addition, this study also found several challenges faced by SMEs in implementing information technology, including limited skilled human resources, high initial costs, and data security issues. Nevertheless, the benefits gained from the use of information technology are much greater than the existing challenges. This article provides recommendations for SME owners and policymakers to support the adoption of information technology, including the provision of training and subsidies for technology investment. In this way, SMEs can become more competitive and contribute more significantly to the national economy.

Abstract

The competitiveness of the local economy is crucial for fostering sustainable growth, especially in the face of increasing global competition. One effective strategy to enhance competitiveness is through the development of a creative economy based on local wisdom. However, integrating local values into creative economy development strategies remains a significant challenge. This study aims to analyze the influence of Local Economic Competitiveness on the Creative Economy, with Local Wisdom serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was adopted, using a survey method involving 110 purposively selected respondents, who are creative economy actors based on local wisdom, with at least two years of experience and from regions with notable local wisdom potential. Data were collected using a Likert scale-based questionnaire to measure Local Economic Competitiveness, Local Wisdom, and the Creative Economy. The analysis was performed using SmartPLS software, testing the outer model to assess instrument validity and reliability, and the inner model to evaluate relationships between latent variables. The results indicate that Local Economic Competitiveness positively and significantly affects the Creative Economy, both directly and indirectly through Local Wisdom. Local Wisdom plays a crucial role in strengthening the connection between local economic competitiveness and creative economy development. The findings suggest that strategies to improve local economic competitiveness should leverage local wisdom to foster innovative and sustainable creative economic growth, offering valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners in integrating local values into creative economy development.

Abstract

Sharia banking has been established in Indonesia for approximately 33 years, but its market share is still very small, namely around 7.21% of total commercial bank assets. This study aims to explain the effect of Islamic Financial Literacy, Attitudes and Perceptions of Finance on Interest in Using Islamic Banking Services with Religiosity as a Moderating Variable in Sharia Economics Students in Region 3 Cirebon. Quantitative research with purposive sampling data collection with 100 respondents. The data obtained was analyzed using SEM-PLS version 3.0 software. The results showed that Sharia Financial Literacy and Financial Attitudes did not have a significant effect on interest in using Islamic banking services, this was due to several factors including the lack of maximum Islamic financial literacy carried out so that it has not fostered understanding among students, as well as the financial attitudes of students, especially in region 3 Cirebon, have not reached the stage of making the right decisions in planning and managing their finances. While perceptions have a significant effect on interest in using Islamic banking services, this is influenced by information obtained from unpleasant past experiences related to conventional finance, news that develops about Islamic finance and the values adopted in the environment where they study. Religiosity cannot moderate Islamic Financial Literacy, Financial Attitudes, and Perceptions of Interest in Using Islamic Banking Services, this is because the value of religiosity used as a benchmark by students is still focused on matters of worship, but has not expanded to matters of muamalah.
