Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged many companies, including in the tourism sector, to utilize digital systems to make operations more efficient. One of the problems faced by Travel Agents is the delivery of ticket information to customers which is still done manually via WhatsApp. This process is prone to typing errors and is less uniform in presenting information. The purpose of this final project is to develop a dashboard that is able to display ticket information visually, structured, and professionally. The data used is master data without the involvement of a database or backend. The theory used refers to the principle of developing information systems with a bottom-up approach, which consists of system requirements analysis, DFD, PSPEC, data dictionary, ERD, and interface design. The system development method used is prototyping. The result of this system development is a dashboard application that displays ticket information in real-time under the input form, equipped with automatic generate features and screenshots for sending via social media. The conclusion of this project is that the system has succeeded in making it easier for admins to review, edit, and submit ticket data quickly and with minimal errors. The suggestion for the future is to develop a backend for data storage.

Abstract

This study compares the performance of common machine learning algorithms in the classification of Indonesian news articles. A Dataset of 2160 articles from Detik.com was pre-processed and transformed into feature vectors using the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) technique. The algorithms tested were Multinomial Naïve Bayes, Bernoulli Naïve Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbor, Random Forest and AdaBoost. Hyperparameter tuning was conducted using 5-fold cross-validation, and evaluation metrics included accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results indicate that Multinomial Naïve Bayes, with alpha set to 0.1, achieved the best overall performance with an accuracy of 0.8781, precision of 0.8138, recall of 0.8143, and F1-score of 0.814.

Abstract

Abstract — This research discusses the development of the Foodlergic application which aims to increase user engagement in detecting food allergens through the application of gamification and designing a more attractive user interface (UI/UX). This application uses image scanning technology to identify food ingredients that have the potential to trigger allergies, so that it can help users in maintaining the safety of daily food consumption. However, this application still has some shortcomings, such as dependence on internet connection and unattractive interface design. To overcome this, the development of gamification features in the form of a point and level system, as well as UI/UX improvements were carried out to increase motivation and frequency of use of the application. The development method focused on building an Android-based application and implementing a comprehensive gamification system—including points, levels, and leaderboards—utilizing Firebase to manage user authentication, data synchronization, and the core gamification logic. The results showed that the application of gamification and UI/UX design improvements were able to increase user engagement and consistency in using the application. These findings suggest that the integration of gamification approach and good interface design can be an effective strategy in increasing public awareness of the dangers of food allergens and encouraging the prevention of adverse effects caused by food allergies.

Abstract

The aviation industry is one of the sectors of the global economy that has a huge influence, for the United States itself aviation is one of the largest economic sectors, ranging from national to international flights with uncertain distribution of flight ticket prices. The analysis was conducted to find the determining factors to the main factors that determine the price of domestic flight tickets in the United States. The analysis was carried out using the EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis) method, and combined with feature engineering, external data in the form of news, and relevant articles. There are several findings obtained after analysing the US Flight Routes and Fares (1993-2023) dataset, which is a dataset that accommodates domestic flight records of the United States. The discovery obtained is that flight ticket prices will be more expensive if you use exclusive airports as origins or destinations, there are also some airports that have high flight ticket prices due to things such as strategic places and local government policies that make flight ticket prices expensive. The choice of city affects the price of airline tickets, but the more popular the city is, it doesn't make it more expensive, like Los Angeles, and New York is a popular city, but it doesn't make it to the list of cities that have expensive flight ticket prices. The number of flight distances does not determine the price of the flight ticket, but the flight ticket price for a flight distance above 1118 miles, which is the average in the dataset, has a high average flight ticket price. Major events such as Covid-19, 9/11, and Inflation greatly affect the ups and downs of flight ticket prices, as evidenced by the fact that in 2020 when Covid-19 was rampant, several airports issued policies to restrict flights which made flight activities difficult, lack of interest, and staff shortages that made flight ticket prices very low. The choice of time (quarter) affects the price of flight tickets, flight ticket prices will increase during national holidays such as during the 3rd quarter or at the time of summer holidays, making demand high and of course increasing flight ticket prices. Explicitly, no prominent factors were found, but by combining several factors such as the selection of cities, airports, and flight times, a trend or pattern for flight ticket prices will be obtained

Abstract

Abstract — This research, titled “Analysis of Customer Reviews of McDonald's in Australia” aims to enhance service quality, which is a crucial aspect for fast-food restaurants in maintaining customer satisfaction. This study analyzes McDonald's customer reviews in Australia to identify key factors influencing customer experience. The data used comes from the McDonald's customer review dataset available on Kaggle. The methods employed include sentiment analysis based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and exploratory data analysis techniques to identify common trends in the reviews. The results indicate that factors such as food quality, service speed, restaurant cleanliness, and staff interaction significantly impact customer sentiment. These findings can serve as a foundation for McDonald's to improve underperforming service aspects while reinforcing elements that have received positive customer feedback. By leveraging NLP-based data analysis, restaurants can better understand customer preferences and enhance their service strategies to boost customer loyalty.

Abstract

The rapid development of the video game industry highlights the importance of analyzing sales data to understand global market preferences. This research applies the Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) method to analyze a global video game sales dataset sourced from Kaggle. The objective is to identify factors influencing game sales success, such as platform, genre, publisher, and regional distribution. The EDA method involves data exploration, cleaning, visualization, and statistical analysis using Python and libraries such as Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn. The analysis reveals that North America contributes the most to global video game sales, with the PlayStation 2 being the dominant platform. The most popular genres are Action, Sports, and Shooter. Furthermore, publishers like Nintendo and Electronic Arts are among the top contributors in terms of sales. This research provides valuable insights for game developers and publishers in designing effective and data-driven marketing strategies.
