Abstract

Material LEADCAP is an additive material to be added to the asphalt (by the dry/ wet process) for the purpose of reducing the temperature of the mixed asphalt. LEADCAP melts at about 100̊C and completely  dissolve into the asphalt at a temperature 130⁰C. To determine the performance of the asphalt mixture by LEADCAP, we made 15 samples to determine the optimum bitumen content (OBC) with a bitumen content of 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5%. Then with the OBC has been obtained, the mixture is made with 3 variations LEADCAP levels of 2%, 4%, and 6%. From the LEADCAP levels, made respectively - each 3 variations in temperature is 145⁰C, 140⁰C, 130⁰C. Every each temperature we made 3.

Abstract

The construction sector is one of the major contributors to national economic development, but has great potential in environmental degradation. CO2 emissions have been used as a measure of the effect of human activities on the environment. One of the construction process that allegedly resulted in relatively large CO2e emissions is road projects. This study assessed the carbon footprint generated by the process of material production, material transport, and implementation of highway construction rigid pavement. Data is collected through direct observation of Palur Flyover Project and interviews with the project team, and project data obtained from the companies and government agencies. Road project reviewed start from STA. 0 + 350 to STA. 0 + 450 2 line of a 3 m width CO2e emissions calculations using the conversion factor from the literature. The total CO2e emissions produced during the process of rigid pavement is 92.9 tonnes of CO2e. The amount of emissions generated by the off site material production, material transport, concrete production and concrete pouring are 88 166 tonnes of CO2e (94.9%), 3,168 tonnes of CO2e (3.4%), 1,567 tons of CO2e (1.7%) respectively. Material production, cement production accounted for the largest CO2e emission (86,2%). Therefore alternative materials to cement are needed.

Abstract

City One Hotel lies at Veteran road, Semarang city. This hotel is built at less large area so vehicle come in and sticking out floor basement becomes distress. This redesign change distance between columns from 6 meters become 8 meters, so vehicle comes in and sticking out floor basement become easier. Redesign of the Structure of City One Hotel is make parking area more wider. Parking area from first design only use 1st basement and 2nd basement, meanwhile result of redesign use 1st basement, 2and basement and 2bth basement. First design of City One Hotel used Double System with Intermediate Moment Resisting Frames (IMRF), meanwhile redesign use Double System with Special Moment Resisting Frames (SMRF) for it structure system. This redesign based SNI 1726-2012, and value of earthquake parameter response was download from website of Ministry of Public Work for Semarang City. In order to easier modelling and building structure analysis, redesign of City One Hotel are helped by SAP.2000 version 12 and CSI Col progam. The other differences between first design and redesign’s result is cross-sectional shape of the column and sectional area of the beam. First design use rectangular cross-sectional shape column, meanwhile redesign use square cross-sectional shape column. Benefit of square cross-sectional shape column is moment of inertia equally strong for both sides. The redesign’s beam sectional area is wider than before, this is because increased load on beams comparable with increasing distance between columns.

Abstract

On street parking is parking which take place along of street. This parking gives a negative impact for traffic flow, because it can reduce width of road. The purpose of this study was to compare the on-street parking on one lane in Jalan KH. Agus Salim with median and Jalan Pandanaran without median toward the performance of the road, as well as provide an alternative parking management. Analysis of the data used is simulation method of flow theory based on Greenshields, Greenberg, and Underwood models. The largest value of the correlation coefficient (R) among the three models is taken to determine the model used. Based on the results of the simulation can be compared to the smooth flow of traffic in the presence of on-street parking on the road with median and the road without median. The analysis showed that the model of Greenberg is a model that best fits the characteristics of KH. Agus Salim and Pandanaran Street. The results of simulation analysis parking angle configuration at Jalan KH. Agus Salim on Thursday showed the DS of 0,231, 0,472, 0,223 respectively for the parking configuration 0°, 90°, without parking, while Saturday at 0,303, 0,619, 0,292 for the same parking configuration. These results indicate that the parking angle 0°, 90°, and no parking on the street with median provide good performance when viewed from the value of the DS which took on Thursday and Saturday. Value of DS at Pandanaran street as a result of on-street parking on Thursday and Saturday respectively 0,879, 1,981, 0,841 and 0,903, 2,035, 0,864 for the configuration of the parking angle 0°, 90°, and without parking. The simulation results indicate that without parking on Pandanaran street is the best solution, so that the comfort and safety in road traffic can be achieved. Alternative parking management given that, KH. Agus Salim use the parking angle of 0° to keep the facility u-turn, or use the parking angle of 30° but the u-turn facility closes. Jalan Pandanaran using angle of 0° and rotate prohibition direction, or providing off street parking in the surrounding area of Pandanaran and provide facilities vehicle turning direction. This research just analyze road performance on one lane, so that further research can be do for analyze on-street parking on two lanes in each of the road.
