Semarang especially in coastal area or better known as “Semarang bawah” has experienced land subsidence by 7 cm / year. This makes the ground water level in that area is lower than sea level. The result was a tidal flood happened in Semarang. The government tried to solve this problem by making Polder system. However, the fact is in the rainy season in the coastal areas was still flooding in. In other words, the performance of polder system was not optimal. Some polders that were used to assess the performance of polder in this study have not been able to reduce the impact of flood optimally. Therefore, it needed studies performance of each polder to determine polder ability in overcoming the flood. This study observed 4 polders in Semarang, which are Semarang River Polder, Banger Polder, Tanah Mas Polder and Tawang Polder. This performance is measured by the five critical areas that became reference of Balance Scorecard in assessment, that are Agency Management, Customer Satisfaction, Internal Processes, Finance and Expenditure & Development. The method used is descriptive analysis, quantitative and weighting with AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). Balance Scorecard method on a field tested performance different weights on each field performance. The result of different weighting, which is calculated using the AHP is obtained ranks as follows Tanah Mas Polder (370/500), Banger Polder (348/500), Tawang Polder (296/500) dan Semarang River Polder (287/500). The result calculation of polder effectiveness is the polder ability in reducing flood at Polder Banger by 56% and Semarang River Polder by 59%.

Pelindo III in 2015 was to improve the infrastructure in the port of Tanjung Emas in order to enhance the activities of loading and unloading of goods export import, as appropriate based RIP (Port Master Plan) Tanjung Emas Semarang in 2030, as well as to support ARTG. RIP in accordance with the construction of road access to the container terminal is a top priority for improving the infrastructure in ports of Tanjung Emas. Segment planned access road will have to be in the area of container terminal. Planning the access road to the container terminal is planned by the method of Britsh Standard and Highways with a path length of 925 m, which starts from STA 0 + 000 who are on the road coster port of Tanjung Emas and ends at STA 0 + 925 is the area CY1 (Countainer Yard 1) container terminal. Planned traffic lanes 2 lanes one way, without the median, without the shoulder of the road, a width of the road 10 m, side channel 1 m, with a design speed of 60 km/h.

The Main Lecture Building of Engineering Faculty of Diponegoro University construction process start form June 2010 and be expected to finish at November 2010 but until October 2015 this building can not used as it planned because the construction process have some trouble. Design of this building still use the old guidence that is Earthquake SNI 03-1726-2002. This day that guidence has been updated become Earthquake SNI 03-1726-2012. Because of that this building need to studied so the building can accord with the new guidence. The purpose of this study is to design the structure strengthening so the building can accord with the new guidence. The method of this study is collect the data of laboratory examination. This data will use to determine the quality of materials for calculate nominal capacity. Then redesign the structure using SAP 2000 so that we can know the forces in every element of this structure. Then compere these forces with nominal capacity of the existed structure which is manually calculate under guidence of Concrete SNI 03-1726-2013. If the forces from SAP 2000 analysis bigger than the nominal capacity then the element need strengthening. The reviewed element are beam, column, joint and caisson foundation with strengthening use fiber reinforced polymer under guidence of ACI 440 and concrete jacketing. The result of analysis based on Earthquake SNI 03-1726-2012 show that some element in this building can not hold the forces. Beam can not hold the shear forces. Because of that, beam need the FRP shear strengthening to increase the nominal capacity. Beside beam, column also can hold the forces there are axial and moment. Because of this column need to use the concrete jacketing method to increase the nominal capacity. Concrete jacketing method more efficient than FRP strengthening for column.

Central Java and East Java is separated by the Bengawan Solo River. To support the activities of transportation which across Central Java and East Java, was Bengawan Solo Bridge built on the road Cepu -Padangan on Blora KM SMG 160.09. Bengawan Solo Bridge consists of two bridges, Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge and Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge. Since 1994, only Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge which operated, while Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge had no function anymore because the condition is not feasible. Along with the growth and movement patterns of traffic, it was found that in certain conditions, especially during peak hours, often seen queues of vehicles will cross the Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge. This is based on the value of Degree of Saturation (DS) Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge is 0.78 (> 0.75), which indicates the traffic condition is already unstable. Therefore, operating Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge again can be a solution to the congestion and potential overload that occurs. However, to realize that, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge needs to be redesigned considering exsisting condition is not feasible and the age of the bridge is already very old. As the technical and aesthetic considerations, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is designed by considering the condition of Bengawan Solo Baru bridge so that the Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is planned use steel structures for the upper structure and reinforced concrete structures for bottom structure. After that, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is designed to serve traffic from Cepu to Padangan with the type of road 2/1 UD (two-lane one-way) which has a width of 6 meters and width of sidewalks 2 x 1 meter. The planning of traffic aspects use a life design for 25 years with the traffic growth by 2,472% per year. Implementation of Construction is at a cost of 33.4 billion. The scope of the planned bridge elements in this thesis includes work for the overall structure bridge and approach bridge.

Indonesia is a disaster-prone area to landslides and Indonesia has widely spread of clay soils, so that continuous the study of clay is necessary about characteristics of clay soil. The purpose of this study is to determine the empirical relationship plasticity values, fractions and mineral soil and to predict the effective shear strength c’ and f’. Analysis is about linier regression to infer the relationship between effective shear strength c’ and f’ with plasticity values, fractions and mineral soils, then analyze slope stability on Tol Jatingaleh – Krapyak. The results showed that LL and PI are more large then c’ value is more large too, but it is reverse about PL. If PL is more large then c’ is more sligthly If value of c soils is more large then c’ is more large too, on the contrary if it is f’ soils. Soils with a large content of montmorillonite tend to have great cohession. Decreasing of montmorilonite, it means that value of c’ is more slightly because rise of illite and kaolinite. Further research is indispensible to get enough data to do non-linier regression and multivariate regression to produce a reliable value R > 0,9.

Floods are natural disasters that regularly occur in DAS Lusi during the rainy season. Reduced water catchment areas in the upstream area of the river is one of the causes of increased flood discharge in river Lusi. Attempts to reduce it is to plan long storage system, a building that utilizes water as a resevoir riverwith weir building in the downstream.Long storage will be built on the upstream of the Lusi, located at Jetis, Kecamatan Blora, Kabupaten Blora. The purpose of the construction of long storage Jetis is a flood control system and as a resevoir for the surrounding areas. From the result of rainfall data in Blora, Jiken, Jepon, Bogorejo and Tempuran station, return period of 25 years Q25 = 242.059 m3 / sec are used to analyze the capacity of the river and weir stability. While the discharge is used in analyzing the resevoir using a debit andalan based formula FJ Mock with large long storage bin is 42 liters / sec.Plan development time required was 12 weeks with a total budget of Rp. 12,852,198,000.00. (Twelve billion eight hundred and fifty-two million one hundred ninety eight thousand rupiah).

Optimalization of rural public transit is needed to improve people’s prosperity, especially for those who live in remote rural area. Rural public infrastructure nowadays hasn’t been optimized properly by the government yet, proven by a few number of region which already has urged rural transportation infrastructure. This research aims to select the location of rural public transit system development in Central Java according to priorities. This research focuses on the region which has had the interregion rural public transit system route already. The analysis of developing system of rural public transit defines the location priority by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and recommends its road typical. To determine location priority uses Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Determination of criteria based on the results of questionnaires distributed to the expert. The criteria are total area, the number of demand, population density, LQ index of rural public transit availability, the number of trip distribution, primary-food volume, the number of rural public transportation supply, and the number of vehicles-owner. Utility assessment is done by using secondary data. From these two steps, location priority will be determined. The last step is identified whether it is necessary or not to advance its road typical based on the Region Land Use Planning as mentioned in the valid regulation. The result shows that the most significant factor in determining the rural public transit system development is the number of demand which gets 25,7%. The result clearly shows that Brebes and Tegal has been admitted as the most priority region of rural public transit system development. Amongst of all the routes of interregion rural public transit, there are two routes which should be advanced its typical road: Boyolali-Sragen route and Sukoharjo-Boyolali route. The conclusion of this research is there is still a few of region on Central Java which already has the interregion rural public transit system route –only nine regions. The government should support another region to supply this route access.

Kedung Ombo is a multi-purposes reservoir used for flood control, hydropower generation, irrigation services, raw water supply, fisheries and tourism. To meet the water demand (demand), the performance of the reservoir should run well. Over time, sedimentation in reservoir increases. Sedimentation problems may affect the operating performance of the reservoir. If sedimentation increases, the effective volume will be reduced then as a result water demand (demand) can not be fulfilled. Therefore, a further study on operating performance Kedung Ombo Reservoir in relation to sedimentation is needed . The results showed that the simulation the best method SOP for some conditions of sedimentation, in year-on-0, the 15th year, and year-to-27 is not seen a significant difference from the value of the operating performance. So it can be concluded that sedimentation is not very big significant on the operation of the reservoir.

Structural Design of Ibis Budget Hotel Semarang was designed to comply with SNI 2847-2013 and SNI 1726-2012. Seismic analysis was conducted using dynamic respons spectrum method. The building was designed to be located in zone 4 Indonesian seismic vurnability map meaning that it can experience large earthquake acceleration. Hence the building must be designed as an earthquake-resistant structures. This building was designed as special moment resisting frame systems (SMRFS). The frame system was composed of beams and columns. The columns were designed to be stronger than the beams (strong column-weak beam concept). The concrete was of f'c 29,05 MPa, and the steel reinforcement of the longitudinal bar was fy 400 MPa. The Structure analysis was conducted using an analysis structure program to model the structure and calculate the internal forces on the structure. Failure at the beam-column joint was avoided by designing plastic hinges to occur at the beam ends and at the top base columns connected to foundation.

The operation of the reservoir can’t be avoided from the problem of sedimentation. This happens because the natural ingredients in the river sediment transport will be accommodated and deposited in the reservoir due to the dam. But not all the sediment deposited in the reservoirs will go straight into the dead storage, most of the sediment will be deposited on effective storage. Has been a lot of research and efforts to reduce the influence of reservoir sedimentation. However, little (if any) research on the effect of reservoir sedimentation in reservoir operation performance. In a study on the effect of sedimentation on the operating performance of single-purpose dam sedimentation concluded that the effect was not significant. Therefore, in this study conducted research on the effect of sedimentation in the multipurpose reservoir operational performance. This research was conducted by simulating the operation of reservoirs with different patterns of operation and conditions of sedimentation.
