Abstract

Structural design of buildings Hospital Radiotherapy and Oncology Centre of Public Hospital Dr. Kariadi Semarang, refers to three standards: (1) minimum loads for buildings (SNI 1727-2013), (2) Earthquake resistance standard for buildings (SNI 1726-2013), and (3) standard of concrete for structural buildings (SNI 2847-2013). This building design is categorised as Building Risk IV, which has value factor virtue of earthquake (Ie) about 1.5 and located on the medium soil types. The Earthquake loads analysis of this building using the spectrum response. Based upon the seismic criteria, this building is included as Building Type D with high risk of seismic level. Therefore, the building design uses Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRFS) to reach the greater performance of column capacity upon the beam or Strong Column Weak Beam. These conditions require the beam-column joint should be well designed in order to avoid collapse when the beams are undergoing plastic hinge. The depth of the hard ground at the site of implementation is 4 m and 9 m, type of land included in the category of land under. The location is adjacent with the existing building, so for minimize the vibration of pile foundation erection used size (30 x 30) cm.

Abstract

A construction contract is a bond between service users working with service providers. International contracts standard have been widely used in large-scale development projects in Indonesia. However, there are still many small-scale to medium development projects and systems that use national contract standard. In this study, we analyze the balance of rights and obligations of the service user as well as the service provider at the National Contracts, International and FIDIC (Federation International Des Ingesniieurs Conseils) standard. Contract documents used are Diponegoro Reservoir Development Project which is national, and Jatibarang Reservoir Development Project which is international. The analysis is performed per sub clause of the National Contract Document as a reference that is made up of 68 sub clause 75 sub-clause. Results of analysis validated by questionnaire and interview of experts. Each contract document is then analyzed for conformance to the FIDIC standard. The results of the percentage of national contract document conformance to the FIDIC standard obtained a value of 89.71% (there are 61 sub clause corresponding from 68 sub-clause). The results of the percentage of international contract document conformance to the FIDIC standard obtained a value of 73.53% (there are 50 sub clause corresponding from 68 sub-clause).

Abstract

A number of regionsin Ponorogo, East Java Provincehas a variety of water resource managementissues, includingfloodsduring the rainy seasonandwater shortagesduring the dry season. To overcome these problems then we planned Bendo dam. Methods of planning begins with determining the position of the location, hydrology and hydraulics which finally obtained information to determine the design of the dam. Bendo dam is planned to use dependable discharge with a probability of 80%. Water requirement value to fulfill the needs of irrigation water is 2.19 liters/sec/hectare and the water requirement is 823.7 liter/sec. We used HSS Nakayasu Flood discharge method with 1,000-year return period amounted to 676.37 m3 / sec. Bendo dam is also planned as a hydropower that produces 1.697,953 Kw hydroelectric power. Bendo dam is planned using Rockfill dam type with a core of impermeable clay with a slope of 1: 2,5 in the upstream and 1: 1,75 in the downstream. The peak height is 78,5 m, the width of the peak is 13 m, and the full length of the dam is 354,02 m with 50-years lifetime design.

Abstract

Semarang Medical Centre Hospital is a private hospital that contiuesly growing until today. SMC Hospital was built to fulfill the needs of society about the importance of health. In addition, SMC hospital was built to improve health service as the standard of international hospitals. The planning of structure of SMC Hospital based on SNI 1726 2012 concerning about the planning procedures of earthquake resistance. Structural system used is Special Moment Resisting Frames (SMRF). SAP2000 version 15 is used for modelling and building structure analysis. Stair structure was modelled separately and the result of reaction force was entried into the portal as load. Column, beam, and plate are modelled as one unity in the portal with significant specification. The analysis result from the structure are fundamental period and deflection, that will be compared with the limit-value in accordance with the rules. Meanwhile the analysis result in element such as moment, axial force, shear force and torsion are used to count section capacity based on SNI 2847:2013 about the requirement of structural concrete.

Abstract

The attempt to provide toll road in Java has been developed rapidly. In the Solo-Semarang route, the construction has reached packet 3 Bawen-Salatiga. An issue in packet 3 appeared in packet 3.1 between Sta 22+900 - Sta 23+500 because it is located in a clayshale deposit area (Kerek Formation). Based on the N-SPT data obtained from drill test for excavation structure, clayshale was not found in the layer. From the soil description and geological review, the layer was dominated by tuff breccia with andesite fragment. In the embankment of STA 22+975, CPT and geoelectric tests were taken and the result from geoelectric showed the presence of claystone which is the main material of Kerek Formation. Therefore, the embankment is the weakest zone by ground movement. FEM analysis results were compared using LEM method by Plaxis 8.2 and Slope/W 2007. FoS acquired from the two methods showed insignificant changes. The static load calculation result proved that the FoS of excavation and embankment structure was bigger than the minimum standard required by USACE (FoS>1.30). FoS of embankment with two configurations had a considerable value. The application of quake load in accordance with 2010 earthquake zone map with 0.44 g acceleration revealed a variety of FoS. In terms of the security over the excavation, the FoS was bigger than the minimum requirement, which is >1.10.

Abstract

The economic growth has contributed to the increasing number of high rise building construction mostly in big city especially Jakarta. In practice, the construction of high rise building project is aided by heavy equipment that is hammer head crane which is known as one of tower crane type. However, with the increasing number of high rise building construction, the hammer head crane space that usually be used in high rise building project is limited, hence, another type of tower crane called luffing crane that can be working optimally in the limited space is needed as the alternative for hammer head crane. For the consideration in choosing the type of which tower crane that should be used in the project, it requires the productivity analysis that is related to the equipment efficiency for each column, slab and beam works. From the research that has been conducted, it shows that the hammer head crane productivity is 13% higher fo column work and 65% higher for slab and beam works than luffing crane’s. With a note that in horizontal movement, luffing crane is excel more than hammer head crane. So overall, it can be concluded that in a condition where hammer head crane still can be operated in a limited space, its productivity is still higher than luffing crane productivity that operated in the same condition and surrounded. While luffing crane is used if hammer head crane is utterly can not be operated.
