Abstract

ABSTRACT The expected goal in this study was to analyze the relationship Household characteristics,community factors, the characteristics of poverty in Sub Gunungpati Semarang. The population in this study were all located Households in the District for 14.579 households Gunungpati. The research was conducted using a sample of 100 persons / respondents. The sampling technique used in this study Purposive sampling technique is based on community or population that can be found by chance in 16 villages in the district Gunungpati. The results suggest that the relationship variable of household characteristics, community factors or characteristics of the region has influence in poverty. While relations simultaneously or jointly variable factors of household characteristics, community factors and characteristics of the region has influence on poverty. So the increase in household characteristics, community factors and characteristics of the region together can affect poverty in the District Gunungpati Semarang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Poverty is the problems from year to year included in the list of national strategic research. Many efforts have been conducted to poverty alleviation. Poverty alleviation who has done by government tending to make poor people become increasingly depending on the aid by foreign parties and not right on the target. To support the success of the program poverty alleviation in the Province of Central Java required a research that can classify distric that had the characteristic of poverty that nearly equal to or homogeny. This research grouping district in the Province of Central Java to 6 clusters based on a indicator poverty by using analysis cluster. The variable that is used to classify district in Central Java are 15 variables which is an indicator of poverty. The result showed that the division of a cluster 6, the region of the poorest are in a cluster 4 and in each cluster can be known which variables are the most dominant influence poverty a distric in Central Java. Then when compared between 2002 and 2010 can be known that occur distinction members of each cluster because a district changes during the period of 8 years.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Leading sectors in Central Java provides a large multiplier effect on regional economies, but in the development of this sector requires the ability to grow and become the locomotive of growth for other sectors. High market a boost, especially in export demand will encourage sectors to be able to grow taller and encourages other sectors to grow. This study aims to analyze the contribution and the competitiveness of export sectors in Central Java. Input-output analysis is used to look at linkages between sectors that may ultimately be determined to be the key sector. Based on the key sector contribution can be seen later multiplier can also be shown from these sectors. Analysis of RCA (Revealed comparative advantage) is used to look at the competitiveness of export sectors. Estimation of linkage in this study using input-output tables of Central Java in 2008 with a classification of 88 sectors are aggregated into 87 sectors. The analysis based on linkages between sectors of economic sectors in Central Java shows there are 16 sectors in Central Java. Of the 16 sectors in the economy of Central Java are in almost all sectors of manufacturing industry sectors. This indicated that Central Java was instrumental in the development of processing industry in Indonesia. The results of the analysis of contribution (share) note that the sectors that contributed most to the total output is the sector of oil and fat industry, wood industry and building materials of wood, and electricity and gas sectors. Based on the analysis of export competitiveness (Revealed Comparative Advantage) shows the dominant sector in Central Java with the export competitiveness of the timber and building materials of wood, non-metallic mineral products industry, spinning mill industry, cement industry, and the lime industry. RCA values ​​indicates that the leading sectors have export competitiveness.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Kalianget Hot Water Spring  is one of the tourism potential in the Wonosobo regency because it has the second largest number of visitors established after Dieng. This research  aims to determine the factors that influence the demand for visits to Kalianget Hot Water Spring by using the  individual travel cost method (ITCM). Regression analysis was involved in this study with specification of the number of individual visits as the dependent variable and the six variables as independent variables. Variables of travel cost to Kalianget Hot Water Spring, travel cost to Dieng, the average family income per month (Rp), distance (Km), group visits and purpose of the visit. The results showed two variables influence the number of tourism demand to the Kalianget Hot Water Spring,  the travel cost to the Kalianget Hot Water Spring and monthly family income. Consumer surplus value obtained for Rp 469.475 for each individual year or Rp 93.895.2 each individual visit. The benefit of the Kalianget Hot Water Spring was Rp 93,895,2 for each individual visit. This number is still higher than the average expenditure of visitor Rp 40.662.5. Therefore, the development of Kalianget Hot Water Spring for improvement but also in optimizing the management of its potential.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze household poverty through the factors that influence in the District of Tugu of Semarang city. The factors are including education,  family size, and asset. The research was conducted in the District of Tugu to the number of households in the district of Tugu as many as 1530 families, with a sample of 94 families. There are 3 variables under study, namely: education, family size, and asset. The instrument of data collection used questionnaires and interviews. Analysis of the data used is Ordinary Least Square (OLS) using instrument of SPSS 16.0. The results showed that the variables of education and capital have a significant positive impact on household poverty. While the family size variables have a significant negative impact on household poverty.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector is the largest growing economic sector in the field of trade and services. Generally, the problems faced by SMEs in Semarang is a matter of business, in which micro and small traders does not have enough capital to run and manage his business activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of Micro Enterprises as well as the difference between before and after obtaining micro-credit the Enkas Mulia Cooperative in Semarang which include venture capital, labor (working hours), the turnover of sales and profits. Research object is the Micro Enterprises that become customers the Enkas Mulia Cooperative in Semarang with a sample of 70 respondents. Type of data collected are the primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used in this research include test validity, reliability test and wilcoxon sign rank test. Based on a wilcoxon sign rank test for variables obtained –p value of capital of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05) which means there are different variables before and after obtaining micro-credit the Enkas Mulia Cooperative in Semarang or an increase of 108% of venture capital after getting micro-credit from the Enkas Mulia Cooperative in Semarang. For variable labor (working hours) obtained –p value of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05) which means there are different variables before and after obtaining micro-credit from the Enkas Mulia Cooperative in Semarang or an increase in working hours by 12.5% after getting micro-credits from of the Enkas Mulia Cooperative in Semarang. Thus the presence of micro-credit the Enkas Mulia Cooperative in Semarang the could increase the variables business capital, labor (working hours), sales turnover and profit of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) experienced significant improvement.

Abstract

Household consumption is expenditure that it is allocated to physical and spiritual needs of life. The average expenditure of resident of Demak Regency is lower than the average expenditure of people of Cenral Java. This low rate consumption has implications on the number of pre-prosperous family. This research aims to analyze the consumption pattern and the factors that affect household consumption of rice and crops farmers in Demak Regency. The analysis of consumption pattern uses descriptive analysis and it is equipped with cross-tabulations of the data respondents while the analysis to determine the factors affect the consumption uses regression analysis. This research used 99 samples of household in eight districts in Demak Regency. The result showed that household consumption of rice and crops farmers is still dominated by food consumption. The average food consumption cost is Rp 9.621.657,00 per year. The factors affect household consumption of rice and crops farmer are income,  family member that live together in one place, and the use of credit. Education variable doesn’t significantly affect household consumption of rice and crops farmer.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Micro and small enterprises play an important role in economic development because of its labor absorption rate is relatively high, but with limited capital owned. In general, the problems faced by SMEs in District Ngawen Klaten is the issue of capital, where small micro entrepreneurs do not have enough capital to run the business. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences and the development of the MSE between the before and after obtaining the loan People's Business Credit (KUR) of BRI Unit Ketandan which includes venture capital, production, sales turnover and profits. MSE is the object of his research into customer KUR BRI Ketandan with sample size of 85.                                            Type of data collected are the primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used in this research include test validity, test reliability and Wilcoxon sign rank test. Based on a Wilcoxon sign rank test for variables obtained p-value of capital of 0.000 (0.000 <0.05) which means there are different capital variables before and after obtaining a loan from BRI Unit Ketandan or an increase in venture capital an increase of 230%. For variables produsksi obtained p-value of 0.000 (0.000 <0.05) which means there are different production variables before and after obtaining a loan from BRI Unit Ketandan or an increase in production of an increase of 243%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Any economic development expects the creation of high economic growth and equity. East Kalimantan province from the year of 2001-2009 shows  the economic growth is volatile and tends to decline on average by 2,77 percent while economic growth in the district / city looks lame, some are experiencing positive growth and even negative, while the differences  of GDP per capita are quite striking between regions. This shows the disparity between urban districts in the province of East Kalimantan. This study aims to analyze the income’s  disparity that occurred between the district / city in East Kalimantan Province in the year of 2001-2009. The data used for this study  is secondary data. Meanwhile, The analytical method used was Typology Klassen,  and Williamson index. Based on the Analysis of  Klassen Typology shows  the majority of as nine district / city include the fast growing area. These results indicate that during the year between 2001-2009 had occured disparity  and fluctuated annually and tend to decline, but still relatively high in East Kalimantan province with an average of 0,828. The highest disparity occurred in 2001 at 0,916 and the lowest disparity occurred in the year of 2009 at  0,731.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study was done in order to identify whether the level of public perception in assessing environmental management in Semarang city seen from the Pressure, State, and Response (PSR) on several indicators or object to the research of green open space (RTH), urban forests, surface water, ground water, air, and coastal (OECD, 2008, and Kenneth, 2008). It is also providing strategic advice on sustainable environmental management to be applied. It used primary and secondary data with Quoted purposive sampling. Respondent sample was taken as the city of Semarang about 110 people respondents, and 8 respondent’s key persons. Analytical methods used were mixed method with a quantitative approach used is descriptive statistics and qualitative approach is done by direct observation in the field and in-depth interviews with key persons respondents. Efforts toward improvement by the community activities in the role in environmental management, among others: (1) Reduce or restrict the use of electronic equipment, (2) Reduce or restrict the use of clean water, (3) Purchase of environmentally friendly products, (4) Recycling waste household, (5) Plant a tree in the neighborhood (reforestation), (6) Participate in managing the environment well, (7) Use of public transportation services in order to reduce pollution levels.
