Abstract

The purpose of  this  research  is  to  explain  how  the variable of  compensation,organizational commitment, and organizational culture influence to PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang employee performance. The data of this research were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 43 employees of PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang. This research used a saturated or census sampling method. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression.The result of this research shows that compensation, organizational commitment, and organizational culture influence positively and significantly to the employee performance. Variable used in this research give positive response,  meaning  that the compensation, organizational commitment, and organizational culture improving the performance  of  PT.  Teduh  Makmur  Semarang  employee.  Value  of  determination coefficient or R2 is 0,712, which means employee performance is affected by compensation, organizational commitment, and organizational culture amounted to 71,2%.Based  on  statistical  data  analysis,  found  that most  influential  variable is  thee variable of organizational commitment of 0,454, while the least influential variable is the variable of compensation of 0,393.

Abstract

Competition in an increasingly competitive smartphone industry resulted in a decrease in market share occurred at Sony smartphones in the period 2013-2014. This study aims to investigate the influence of brand image and product quality on purchasing decisions by customers trust Sony smartphone.The total sample of 100 respondents Sony smartphone users on student Undip. Data obtained from questions by using a questionnaire consisting of closed and open questions. Answer of respondents were analyzed with two-stage regression analysis tools SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science).Based on the analysis conducted that the brand image and product quality positive effect on customer trust with a regression coefficient Y1= 0,343 X1+ 0,429 X2. While customer trust positive effect on purchasing decisions with a regression coefficient Y2 = 0,559 Y1.

Abstract

One of the factors that supporting the educational success is teachers. Besides of they have a very important role, teachers also having role as an agents of change. Not only giving universal values for us, teachers also giving moral and religious knowledge. As an important part of the educational process, all of teachers should have standard management and regulations. However, in actual practice of the education system in Indonesia, there are some terms of temporary teachers, who don’t received clarity welfare and employment status yet.Temporary teachers have very minimum welfare and can not be comparared with their heavy duties. This indicates that temporary teachers have job motivation to do that. Islam has the rules of whole human life aspects. One of the rule is learning the job motivation’s regularity. Islam also pays a great attention to the teachers.This research aims to analyze the intrinsic factors which influence job motivation of temporary teachers in Islamic perspective. This research used qualitative methods in which data collection are done with the structured interview. Sample of this research are temporary teachers who have tenure more than three years in Private Islamic Junior High School at Semarang city.The results of this research is job motivation of temporary teachers are influenced by internal motivation factors which attached in them. The factors are consists of value or believe, perception, purpose, expectations, attitude, and ability, that shown in their behavior.

Abstract

Underpricing is a phenomenon when the price in the IPO is lower than the secondary market so that issuers can’t maximally to obtaining additional capital from go public. It is often occurs in various countries in the world. In Indonesia from 2006-2014 there are 189 companies and 153 companies or 80,9% companies experienced underpricing. Underpricing not only influenced by financial factors but also non financial factors (board structure an ownership structures).This study aimed to examine the effect of board size, board independence, ownership concentration, institutional ownership, and the underwriters of the IPO underpricing reputation.The research sample as many as 64 companies had an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2006-2014 and experiencing underpricing. The sampling method used in this study is proposive sampling. Technical analysis that used in this study is Ordinary Least Squares Regression (OLS), t statistical test, and classical assumption test including normality test, multicolinearity test, heterocedasticity test, and autocorrelation test.These results indicate that the number of commissioners have a negative and significant effect on underpricing, while the concentration of ownership has a positive and significant effect on underpricing. However, there was no significant effect of the independence of the commissioners, institutional ownership and reputation underwiter the level of underpricing.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of leadership style on employee performance Education Office of Central Java province, to analyze the influence of labor discipline on employee performance Education Office of Central Java province, to analyze the influence of leadership style on job motivation of Education Office of Central Java province, to analyze the influence of labor discipline on work motivation Education Office of Central Java province, to analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance Education Office of Central Java province.The sample was 54 employees in Central Java Provincial Education Department, with technical distributing questionnaires then tested the validity, reliability test, the classic assumption test and regression analysis to test the hypothesis.Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that: (1)leadership style significantly positive effect on employee performance so the first hypothesis is accepted. That is the better style of leadership will further improve the performance of employees. (2) Discipline labor significantly positive effect on employee performance so the second hypothesis is accepted. This means that the better work discipline will further improve the performance of employees. (3) The style of leadership in a positive and significant effect on work motivation. So the better style of leadership, the higher motivation to work so that the third hypothesis is accepted. (4) The discipline of working in a positive and significant effect on work motivation. So the higher the discipline of work, the higher motivation to work so that the fourth hypothesis is accepted. (5) work motivation significantly positive effect on employee performance. So the fifth hypothesis is accepted. This means that the higher work motivation will further improve the performance of employees.

Abstract

Profit growth is the ratio that showed how ability of company increased net profit over the previous year. The higher the ratio of profit growth, more better the company financial performance. This research wants to examine the effects of Current ratio, Debt to Asset ratio, total asset turnover,and net profit margin to profit growth of food and beverages company.The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. There are 15 companies that used during the research. Analytical technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis by using SPSS 20. Data sample has tested using with  the classical assumption test such as normality test, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroskedasticity test. And the hypothesis test is done by using the F test, T test, and R².The result of this research shows that current ratio, debt to asset ratio, total asset turnover, and net profit margin simultaneously have a significant influence  to the profit growth of food and beverages company with a significance level of 0,000. From the research also known that partially Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Total Asset Turnover (TAT), and Net profit margin (NPM), have an influence a positive significant to profit growth of food and beverages company, while Current Ratio(CR) does not have positive significant influence to profit growth of food and beverages company.The value of adjusted R square is 29.3%. This means that 29.3% of profit growth can be explained by independent variable (Current ratio, debt to asset ratio, total asset turnover and net profit margin). While the remaining (70,7%) is explained by other variables or other causes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze things that can affect willingness to revisit  GUCI hotspring object in Tegal Regency. This study departs from an axisting research problem “how to increase willingness to revisit in GUCI Hotspring Object?”this study was conducted by testing the affect of product image, product quality and customer value to willingness to revisit, where product attractiveness is used as an intervening variable.This research method use purposive sampling technique 150 respondents who have traveled to GUCI Hotspring Object in Tegal Regency. For method of Analysis using quantitative and qualitative method by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) of the amos 20.0. Data used is primary data by questionnaire with some of open and closed questions.The result of this research prove that three of hypothesis are accepted and 1 hypothesis is rejected. The hypothesis accepted are both product quality and costumer value affect positively and significant to product attractiveness; and product attractiveness affect positively and significant to willingness to revisit. And the hypothesis rejected is product image not significant but have a positive influence to willingness to revisit.

Abstract

Technology devices has been a necessity in every sector in human being nowadays. One of modern devices which grows rapidly is computer. Computer development is shown in each shape variations and usages. After the type of computer that has to be connected with electricity or what we usually call PC desktop, there is portable notebook, a battery-using computer. The emergence of various brands in the notebook industry that offers innovations and new variants with all good features makes competition in the notebook industry is getting tough. Each companies are required to win the competition by getting consumers as many as possible.This research uses buying decision as a dependent variable, advertising activity, public relation activity, sales credibility, references groups as independent variables, as well as product knowledge as an intervening variable. Number of samples are 100 respondents. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling and data analysis methods used were descriptive statistics, validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing.                Based on the results of the regression analysis showed that the activity of advertising and reference groups has a significant positive effect on product knowledge, however the sales credibility and public relations activities has no significant effects on product knowledge.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the leadership style applied in Palupi Craft – a handicraft company specializing in batik bag and leather goods. Despite the continuous growth in company sales, the company owner was not able to describe the leadership style she implements in the company. To measure and determine the leadership style used in Palupi Craft, this study utilize Leadership Questionnaire developed by Bass and Avolio. The questionnaires were distributed to all Palupi Craft employees, and the results were described using descriptive technique.  This study reveals that the Palupi Craft owner tend to utilize transactional leadership style in managing her business. Discussion and recommendation for future research was also included.

Abstract

Nowadays, the competition on sport shoes is getting more competitive. Each company design sport shoes with the best quality. The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of brand image, product design, and product quality influencing on purchasing decision of Nike’s sport shoes and also explain which variable has the biggest influence on the purchasing decision of Nike’s consumer.This research takes 100 respondents using Accidental Sampling technique as sample. The analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. There are three stages before conducting multiple linear regression analysis, validity and reliability testing and classical assumption testing. After all stages of multiple linear regression is done, the writer conducted goodness of fit test: individual parameter significance test (t test), simultant significance test (f test), and determination coefficient test (R2 test).The result of Regression analysis showed that the variable of brand image, product design, and product quality had positive influences to the purchasing decision with an equation Y = 0,276  X1 + 0,238 X2  + 0,405 X3. The most influential variable was product quality in the amount of 0,405, followed by brand image in the amount of 0,276, and the least influential variable was product design in the amount of 0,238. T test result showed that brand image, product design, and product quality individually had a significant influence on purchase decision. This equation model had F value of 29,546 with a significant level of 0.0000. The analysis used determination coefficient or R2 test showed that 46.4% purchasing decision could be summarized by brand image, product design, and product quality and 53.6% purchasing decision could be summarized by other variables which had been explained by another factor.
