Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of celebrity endorser and product innovativeness in order to influence purchasing decision, which brand image and utilitarian value are used as intervening variables between celebrity endorser and product innovativeness to purchasing decision XL provider in Semarang. This research was conducted by taking samples using purposive sampling technique. The collection of data obtained from 100 XL users in Semarang  by giving questionnaires which consist of open and closed questions. The analysis technique used in this research is Multiple Linier Regression of SPSS 23 program. The first regression to analyze the effect of celebrity endorser on brand image. The second regression to analyze the effect of product innovativeness to utilitarian value, while the third regression to analyze effect of brand image and utilitarian vaue on purchase decision. The result show that celebrity endorser has positive and significant impact on brand image. Product innovativeness has positive and significant impact on utilitarian value. Brand image and utilitarian value also have positive and significant impact on purchasing decision.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of  creditor’s payment period (CPP), debtor’s collection period (DCP), leverage (LEV), profitability (ROE), size (SIZE) and bank age(AGE) on cash holding in commercial banks listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange.The population of this research is commercial banks listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange period  2011-2015.  The types  of  data  used  are secondary  data  and  sample determination used the method of purpose sampling. The analytical tool used is panel data regression.The result shows that creditor’s payment period, debtor’s collection period and bank size has a significant effect on cash holdings, but leverage, profitability, and bank age does not has significant effect on cash holding.

Abstract

This study is perfomed to examine the effect of Firm Size, Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Asset Growth, Return on Equity (ROE), Earning per Share (EPS), Quick Ratio and Past Dividend (DPR_1) toward Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) manufacture companies that is listed in BEI over period 2011-2015. Sampling technique used here is purposive sampling. The data obtained based on financial statement publication on IDX and ICMD from Indonesian stock exchange, www.idx.co.id. It is gained sample amount 26 companies from 145 manufacture companies those are listed in BEI. The analysis technique used here is multiple regression and level significance 5%. The result form analisys, it indicates that DER and Asset Growth variable partially has negatif significant toward DPR, ROE and DPR_1 partially has positive significance. Firm Size, EPS and Quick Ratio variable partially not significant toward DPR of the company in BEI on 2011-2015. While simultaneously Firm Size, DER, Asset Growth, ROE, EPS, Quick Ratio and DPR_1 proof significantly influent DPR.

Abstract

Firm performance is an important part for measuring the success company for being the first thing that will be seen by an investor. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the cash conversion cycle, cash holding, tangible fixed assets, current ratio, leverage, growth, and size on firm performance. Proxy that used to measure firm performance in this study is Return on Assets (ROA).The population in this study are all manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for period 2015-2016. Purposive sampling is used to determine the number of samples, 20 companies manufacturing used in this study. The analytical method used is the data panel regression with a significance level of 5% .These results indicate that the cash conversion cycle has significant negative effect on firm performance. Cash holding has insignificant negative effect on firm performance. Tangible fixed assets has significant negative effect on firm performance. Current ratio has significant positive effect firm performance. Leverage significant negative effect on firm performance. Growth significant positive effect on firm performance. Size insignificant negative effect on firm performance. In this study the cash conversion cycle (CCC), holding cash, tangible fixed assets, current ratio, leverage, growth, size are able to explain the firm performance by 94% and the other is explained by other factors beyond research.

Abstract

The value of the company is a factor that considered by investors in taking investment decision. Research by Sulistyawan (2005), and Hermawati (2011)  shows there are differences in the results based on existing data, there relationship that might be differences of  affect the value of the company.  Therefore,it is needed for further research. This study tested the effect of Sales growth (SG), Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Net Profit Margin (NPM) against the Return on Asset (ROA) as well as the influence of Return on Assets (ROA), Sales growth (SG) against Price Book Value (PBV) on food and baverage manufacturing company that is listed on the Indonesia stock exchange (idx) of the period 2010 – 2012. The sample used in this study consisted of 20 food and baverage manufacturing company that is listed on the Indonesia stock exchange (idx) of the period 2010 – 2012. Its purposive sampling. The data obtained from Indonesian Capitan Market Directory (ICMD) and the Annual Report of the company. Analytical techniques used is multiple regression analysis and path analysis of SEM programs.  The results showed that Sales growth (SG) have a negative effect of the Return on Assets (ROA), as well as direct negative and significant effect on Price Book Value (PBV) also. Total Asset Turnover (TATO) have a negative effect of the Return on Assets (ROA). Net Profit Margin (NPM) have a positive and significant effect of the Return on Asset (ROA).  Return on Asset (ROA) have a positive and significant effect of the Price Book Value (PBV).

Abstract

Maximizing   firm   value   are   influenced   by   several  factors,   including   firm performance and corporate characteristics. This study examines the effect of good corporate governance, growth, leverage, and firm size on firm value by using firm performance as intervening variable.Firm performance is measured by using Return on Assets (ROA) and firm value is measured by using Tobins'Q. The population of this research is registered companies in CGPI ranking by IICG in 2009-2015. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling and  there  are  31  companies  that  qualified  as  a  sample.  This  research  used  linear regression by using Ordinary Least Square method to know the influence of independent variable consist of CGPI, growth, leverage, and firm size to firm value by using firm performance as intervening variable.The result of the research shows that CGPI variable has a significant positive effect on company performance, firm growth variable has positive effect not significant to firm performance, leverage variable has negative significant effect, and firm size variable has negative and insignificant effect, and firm performance is only able to mediate the relationship between CGPI and leverage to firm value. Thus, only CGPI and leverage have an indirect effect on firm value of CGPI rating companies listed on the BEI in 2009-2015.

Abstract

In order to achieve the maximum benefit, it is very important to acompany to pay attention about compensation and training to improve the performance of the employees. The Employees who receive compensation as they expect would directly be able to improve their performance. As well as the training provided, training whom appropriate to job would enhance the ability of these employees, so that the performance would also increase.This research was conducted at PT. GaneshaAbaditama located in East Jakarta in order to determine the effect of compensation and training on job satisfaction in improving employee performance. The samples are 65 respondents using census method. As the independent variable in this research are compensation and training, intervening variable is job satisfaction, as well as the dependent variable is the performance of employees. The analysis includes the validity, reliability, model test, classic assumption test, test hypotheses.The influence of compensation on job satisfaction is about 0.069, which means that compensation has a positive and significant relationship to job satisfaction. The influence of training on job satisfaction is about 0.351, which means that training has a direct influence on job satisfaction. The influence of compensation to the performance is about 0.010 indicates that proves compensation has no direct influence on the performance. The influence of training on the performance is about 0.272, which means that the effect of job satisfaction tested positive for performance. The influence of job satisfaction on the performance is about 0.589, which means that job satisfaction has a direct influence on the performance.

Abstract

Mutual funds is one means of investment consisting of a collection of funds obtained from various investors to be invested in securities portfolio by the investment manager. Sharia mutual funds are mutual funds whose operations are based on Islamic sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the influence of fund age, market timing ability, stock selection skill, portfolio turnover and fund size to the performance of Islamic mutual funds in Indonesia. The method used is multiple regression analysis with classical assumption test as statistical requirement. The data used in this study consist of monthly NAV data, effective date of mutual fund, mutual fund financial report, SBIS and JCI in the period 2013-2015. The sample is divided according to the purpose of investment consisting of 8 sharia equity funds, 7 sharia balanced funds and 3 sharia fixed income funds. The results showed that simultaneously fund age character, market timing ability, stock selection skill, portfolio turnover and fund size influence sharia mutual fund performance by 19%. In partial test, it is found that fund age has negative and insignificant effect on sharia mutual fund performance. Market timing ability and portfolio turnover have positive and insignificant effect on sharia mutual fund performance. Stock selection skill and fund size have a positive and significant effect on sharia mutual fund performance.

Abstract

Based on research conducted by Veloutsou (2015) on the cosmetics industry, especially lipstick users in the city of Glasgow show that brand evaluation, brand trust, and brand satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty through brand relationship as intervening variable. Although the research contributes significantly to the impact of brand evaluation, brand trust, and brand satisfaction on brand loyalty through brand relationships, it is still limited to the cosmetic industry context that is open to similar research in different industry contexts. This research aims to find the influence of brand evaluation, brand trust, and brand satisfaction on brand loyalty through brand relationship as intervening variable. The study was conducted on consumers of Telkomsel who live in Semarang city that a minimum purchase at least one year before. The sampling method used non-probability purposive sampling. The data was collected through questionnaires. The samples used in this study was 100 respondents. Then the data processed using analytical techniques a multiple regression analysis and sobel test. The result showed that brand relationship as intervening variable, mediate influence of brand evaluation, brand trust, and brand satisfaction on brand loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of training, self-efficacy, and employee engagement on employee performance at Patra Semarang Hotel & Convention. The techniques of data analysis that used in this research were validity, reliability, classic assumption test, t test, F test, the coefficient of determination and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of that three independent variables. Respondents in this study were 62 respondents. The result indicates that there are : training has positive and significant impact on employee performance, self-efficacy has positive and significant impact on employee performance, and employee engagement has positive and significant impact on employee performance. Based on the result of the F test is known that independent variables (training, self-efficacy, and employee engagement) has simultaneous and significant impact on employee performance. Independent variables that have been mentioned can explain the dependent variable by 58,9% while the remaining 41,1% can be explained by other variables. The result of this study are expected to help Patra Semarang Hotel & Convention to repair and make improvements in training, self-efficacy, and employee engagement in order to make employee performance much better.
