Abstract

Abstract: Biology learning plays an important role in stimulating student literacy skills. This is because biology is the answer to the problems which are related to nature and their interactions with environment. Scientific literacy skills can be imparted to students by using UKBM (Unit Kegiatan Belajar Mandiri or Independent Learning Activity Unit) on Biology. The purpose of this study was to find out the effectiveness of UKBM towards the enhancement of students' scientific literacy skills. The type of this research is quasi-experiment as it is using pretest and post-test question instruments. The statistical data shows that the average value of scientific literacy skills in the experimental class (20.36) is higher than the control class (15.85). The statistical test with Anakova shows an F value is 51,901 with a probability of 0,000 (sig. <0,05) meaning that there is a significant relationship between pretest and post-test scientific literacy skills and the value of F = 10.607 and sig. (0.002) <0.05 indicates that UKBM which is used in learning process is effective to improve students' scientific literacy skills. Abstrak: Pembelajaran biologi berperan penting dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan literasi sains siswa, sebab biologi menjadi solusi permasalahan terkait alam dan interaksinya dengan lingkungan. Keterampilan literasi sains dapat dibekalkan kepada siswa dengan menggunakan UKBM Biologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan UKBM terhadap peningkatan keterampilan literasi sains siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi experimental, dengan menggunakan instrumen soal pretes dan postes. Data statistik menunjukan rata-rata nilai keterampilan literasi sains kelas perlakuan (20,36) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (15,85). Uji statistik dengan Anakova menunjukkan nilai F sebesar 51,901 dengan probabilitas 0,000 (sig.< 0,05) artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pretes dan postes keterampilan literasi sains dan nilai F= 10,607 dan sig.(0,002)< 0,05 artinya bahwa UKBM yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran efektif meningkatkan keterampilan literasi sains siswa

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to know the local community knowledge and attitude about Sustainable Reserve Food Garden (SRFG). The research was conducted in July 2016 in Jorong Lubuk Agam, Kenagarian Ampang Kuranji Koto Baru Dharmasraya West Sumatra. This research is descriptive quantitative research.The sample collection techniques employed Accidental Random Sampling. The number of respondents is 33 families. The research results showed that the knowledge and behavior of KRPL still law, respectively 44.1% and 47.27%. The conclusion of this study is the knowledge and behavior of a third of the public about SRFG program is still low, thus we need further action to improve the knowledge and attitude of the community in applying the concept SRFG.Key Words: sustainable reserve food graden program, public knowledge, behavior societyAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat tentang Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan juli 2016 di Jorong Lubuk Agam, Kenagarian Ampang Kuranji Kecamatan Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya Sumatera Barat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan sampel secara Accidental Random Sampling. Jumlah responden  sebanyak 33 kepala keluarga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat tentang KRPL masih kurang, berturut-turut 44,1% dan 47,27%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan dan perilaku sepertiga masyarakat tentang program KRPL masih rendah, sehingga perlu dilakukan tindakan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat dalam menerapkan konsep KRPL.Kata kunci: kawasan rumah pangan lestari, pengetahuan masyarakat, perilaku masyarakat

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this development research was to determine the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the guided inquiry learning module assisted by multimedia on cell metabolism. This study adapted the research and development from Lee and Owen model. The validity of modules and multimedia as a product is known from the validation scores of experts, while the practicality is known from biology teacher and student responses, and the effectiveness from student learning outcomes. The results showed that the average module expert validation score was 89.67% (very valid), material experts were 100% (very valid), media experts were 96.67% (very valid) and field practitioners were 87.50 (valid). Most students gave a positive response to the module by 85.08% and on the media 80,56%. The effectiveness of the development module produces a value of p = 0.13 which means that it can significantly improve student learning outcomes. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning module with mutimedia assisted on cell metabolism is valid, effective, and practical so that it can be used more continued on XII grade senior high school students.Key Words: module, guided inquiry, multimedia, cell metabolismAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan modul belajar inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan multimedia pada materi metabolisme sel. Penelitian ini mengadaptasi model penelitian & pengembangan Lee dan Owen. Kevalidan modul belajar dan multimedia sebagai produk diketahui dari skor validasi para ahli, sedangkan kepraktisan diketahui dari respon guru biologi dan siswa, sedangkan keefektifan diketahui dari hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata skor validasi ahli modul sebesar 89,67 % (sangat valid), ahli materi sebesar 100 % (sangat valid), ahli media sebesar 96,67 % (sangat valid) dan praktisi lapangan sebesar 87,50 (valid). Sebagian besar siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap modul sebesar 85,08 % dan terhadap media 80,56%. Efektivitas modul pengembangan menghasilkan nilai p = 0,13 yang artinya secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul belajar inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan multimedia pada materi metabolisme sel yang dikembangkan tergolong valid, efektif dan praktis sehingga dapat digunakan lebih lanjut pada siswa kelas XII SMA.Kata kunci: modul, inkuiri terbimbing, multimedia, metabolisme sel

Abstract

Abstract: Learning outcomes are the students’ ability after receiving learning experience. In fact, there are gap in students’ cognitive learning outcomes. This gap can be minimized by learning model. The purpose of this research was to investigate the RICOSRE learning model potency in learning outcomes gap on different academic ability. The current study was design as a quasi-experiment with pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group design. Based on data analysis, RICOSRE learning model is able to improve cognitive learning outcomes, so, the students’ learning outcomes gap in school with different academic ability is getting closer.Key Words: cognitive learning outcome, RICOSRE learning model, academic abilityAbstrak: Hasil belajar adalah kemampuan siswa setelah menerima pengalaman belajar. Faktanya masih terjadi kesenjangan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Kesenjangan ini dapat diperkecil dengan model pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi model pembelajaran RICOSRE dalam mempersempit kesenjangan hasil belajar kognitif pada siswa dengan kemampuan akademik berbeda. Desain penelitian menggunakan kuasi ekperimen dengan pre-test-post-test non equivalen control group design. Berdasarkan analisis data, model pembelajaran RICOSRE mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan kemampuan akademik rendah dan tinggi, sehingga kesenjangan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada sekolah dengan kemampuan akademik berbeda semakin kecil.Kata kunci: hasil belajar kognitif, model pembelajaran RICOSRE, kemampuan akademik

Abstract

Abstract: This research has an explanatory mixed method design which aims to analyze the influence of discovery learning assisted by moodle on the problem-solving skills and ICT literacy of SMA Negeri 1 Purwoharjo student. The research subjects consisted of 37 XI grade students from each experimental class and the control class. Instruments test in the form of 5 description questions to measure problem-solving abilities and performance questionnaires to measure ICT literacy skills. The results of the manova statistical test showed that the value of wilks lamda has Sig. (0.005) < (0.05). This shows that discovery learning assisted by moodle influences ICT problem solving and literacy ICT skills.Key Words: problem-solving skills, ICT literacy, discovery learning, moodle Abstrak: Penelitian ini memiliki desain mixed method explanatory yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran discovery berbantuan moodle terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan literasi ICT siswa SMA Negeri 1 Purwoharjo. Subjek penelitan terdiri atas 37 siswa kelas XI dari masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen test berupa 5 soal uraian untuk mengukur ke-mampuan pemecahan masalah dan angket performen untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi ICT. Hasil dari uji statistik manova didapatkan nilai wilks lamda sebesar Sig. (0,005) < (0,05).
