Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly transformed consumption patterns, particularly among adolescents. Easy internet access and the increasing use of e-commerce platforms have shifted shopping behaviour from conventional systems to digital-based transactions. This study aims to analyse the relationship between online shopping activities and consumptive behaviour among adolescents. This research employs a qualitative, descriptive method. The data were obtained from the scientific literature, including journals, books, and other relevant sources, as well as research on the frequency of e-commerce platform use and tendencies toward consumptive behaviour. The study focuses on online shopping behaviour among adolescents and students. Data collection was conducted through library research, including the review of various relevant references. The data analysis technique used qualitative analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Shopee is the most frequently used e-commerce platform, with 42% of users, including factors such as discounts and discount efficiency. The study also found that consumption, by and through behaviours, influences decisions in the context of online shopping, and that online shopping activities are strongly increasing consumption. Therefore, improving financial literacy and responsible consumption awareness is necessary to ensure proper use of digital technology.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how integrating social networks and peer relationship quality contributes to adolescents' resilience in navigating emotional and interpersonal challenges. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and participant observation with adolescents aged 13–18 who actively engage in both offline and online social interactions. The findings reveal that resilience is shaped not by the size of an adolescent's social network but by the depth, trust, and reciprocity within their closest peer relationships. Hybrid social environments, which combine in-person and digital interactions, can function as complementary spaces for emotional expression and support when managed effectively. Moreover, integrated networks strengthened help-seeking behaviour, emotional regulation, and collaborative problem-solving, while fragmented or conflict-ridden peer relationships weakened resilience. The study concludes that adolescent resilience is a socially embedded process rooted in supportive, trustworthy, and interconnected peer environments. The contribution of this research lies in offering a holistic understanding of resilience as a relational and ecological phenomenon, providing implications for educators, policymakers, and youth programs to build healthier peer ecologies.

Abstract

This study examines the role of family social support in children's well-being urban environments, where rapid population growth, limited public spaces, and heightened academic and social pressures make children particularly vulnerable to emotional and behavioural challenges. The research aims to understand how emotional, instrumental, and informational support provided by families functions as protective factors that enable children to navigate complex urban realities. Using a qualitative research design, the study collected data through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis involving parents, children, and community figures in densely populated neighborhoods. The findings reveal that emotional warmth, consistent supervision, and parental guidance significantly strengthen children's resilience, self-regulation, and social adjustment, even amid environmental stressors such as overcrowding and low community cohesion. Children's subjective perceptions of support also emerged as a central determinant of psychological well-being, indicating that relational quality can compensate for limited material resources. The study concludes that adaptive, cohesive, and communicative family systems serve as vital anchors for child development in urban contexts. This research contributes to the existing literature by offering an integrated, context-sensitive understanding of support dynamics and providing empirical insight into how families create emotional safety within high-pressure environments.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach aimed at describing in depth the practice of khuruj fi sabilillah in developing students’ social relationship (silaturahmi) skills at Al Fatah Islamic Boarding School in Campursari Village. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving students, boarding school administrators, and records of khuruj fi sabilillah activities. The study at Al Fatah Islamic Boarding School, Ponorogo Regency, identifies three main stages in implementing khuruj fi sabilillah. The first stage involves preparation before the activity begins. The second stage consists of religious programs conducted in the mosque during the khuruj activity. The third stage includes follow-up programs after the completion of the khuruj activity. Supporting factors include motivation and sincerity, financial availability, the supportive boarding school environment, and da’wah training. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include laziness, limited public understanding, economic constraints, and lack of family support. The impacts on students include strengthening religious spirituality, developing da’wah character, applying religious knowledge, and fostering solidarity among students. The impacts on society include increased religious awareness, strengthened mosque functions, positive social change, moral and ethical development, and occasional misunderstandings.
