Abstract

Sooko Village, Sooko District, Ponorogo Regency, is one of the Kampung Zakat-assisted villages with natural potential for developing stingless bee cultivation. This type of bee produces honey with high economic and nutritional value; however, its management requires technical skills, colony supervision, and continuous evaluation to improve productivity. This activity aims to enhance community knowledge, skills, and awareness of stingless bee cultivation through technical assistance and a colony-monitoring system. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory method. The data consisted of primary and secondary data obtained from the activity site in Sooko Village, Sooko District, Ponorogo Regency, from March to May 2025. Data sources included farmer groups, community leaders, students as facilitators, and supporting activity documents. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that technical assistance improved the community's ability to manage colonies, identify problems, implement independent corrective actions, use home yards, and collectively develop honey-based enterprises. The monitoring system also encouraged a culture of evaluation in cultivation practices. This activity concludes that a participatory approach can strengthen local capacity, community collaboration, and economic independence through sustainable cultivation of stingless bees.

Abstract

Industrial internship is a form of experiential learning that bridges entrepreneurship theory with real business practice. Teenmode Konveksi Ponorogo serves as an internship site that provides students with direct experience in understanding garment production processes and the working dynamics of the garment industry. This study aims to describe the role of industrial internship in improving students’ entrepreneurial competencies. This study used a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through participatory observation, interviews, internship daily notes, and activity documentation. The results show that students gained work experience in several production stages, including fabric cutting, screen printing, embroidery, finishing, quality control, packaging, and promotion. This direct involvement improved students’ technical skills, particularly accuracy, understanding of production flow, product quality control, and basic garment business management. In addition, the internship helped develop soft skills such as discipline, communication, teamwork, adaptability to work rhythms, and responsibility. Although several obstacles were encountered, including limited production equipment and work schedules adjusted to order volume, direct guidance from the business owner helped students better understand work processes. This study concludes that industrial internships in the garment sector are effective as an experiential learning medium for strengthening students’ entrepreneurial competencies across technical, social, and managerial domains.

Abstract

Waqf has significant potential as an Islamic philanthropic instrument to support community welfare when managed productively. In Kecamatan Sampung Ponorogo, most waqf assets are still used for consumptive purposes, such as mosques, prayer rooms, Islamic boarding schools, schools, and cemeteries, leaving their economic potential underutilized. This study aims to analyze the condition of waqf management, identify problems in the development of productive waqf, and formulate optimization efforts through the role of the Office of Religious Affairs in Kecamatan Sampung Ponorogo. This study used a descriptive qualitative method through field observation, updating waqf data, synchronizing register books with the Waqf Information System, and surveys of waqf asset utilization. The results show that waqf management has improved its administrative organization and its identification of productive waqf potential, including rice fields that can be used for agricultural activities. However, productive waqf optimization still faces several obstacles, including limited public understanding, insufficient nadzir capacity, discrepancies between manual and digital data, and technical problems in the Waqf Information System application. This study concludes that productive waqf development requires community education, capacity building for nadzir, strengthened digital administration, and professional management strategies so that waqf assets can provide sustainable economic benefits for the community.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important concept that requires companies to balance economic interests, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability. In the Islamic perspective, CSR is not merely a voluntary philanthropic activity or a legal obligation, but also a moral and spiritual responsibility to create public welfare. This article aims to explain the concept of CSR from conventional and Islamic perspectives, analyze CSR management through zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf, and examine maqashid sharia as an ethical foundation for corporate social responsibility. This study employs a descriptive-analytical literature review to examine books, regulations, and prior studies on CSR, Islamic business ethics, ZISWAF, and maqashid sharia. The discussion shows that conventional CSR emphasizes stakeholder interests and the triple bottom line, while Islamic CSR is grounded in tawhid, amanah, justice, and maslahah. ZISWAF can be developed as a strategic CSR instrument through corporate zakat, voluntary infaq and sadaqah, and productive waqf programs. Maqashid-based CSR directs corporate programs toward protecting religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. This article concludes that integrating CSR, ZISWAF, and maqashid sharia can strengthen social impact, spiritual accountability, stakeholder trust, and sustainable business practices.

Abstract

Sustainable business ethics has become an important necessity in addressing environmental, social, and corporate governance challenges in the modern era. The Environmental, Social, and Governance framework offers a business approach that is not only profit-oriented but also concerned with environmental preservation, social welfare, and governance integrity. This article aims to analyze the concept of sustainable business ethics, explain the implementation of environmental, social, and governance aspects, and examine their integration with Maqashid Sharia. This study employs a descriptive-analytical literature review to examine relevant literature on ESG, Islamic business ethics, and Maqashid Sharia. The discussion shows that environmental considerations require companies to maintain ecological sustainability through resource management, waste reduction, and accountability for environmental impacts. The social aspect emphasizes the protection of workers’ rights, corporate social responsibility, inclusivity, and social justice. Meanwhile, the governance aspect requires transparency, accountability, integrity, and the prevention of corruption. The integration of ESG with Maqashid Sharia strengthens the ethical foundation of business by protecting religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. This article concludes that sustainable business ethics grounded in ESG and Maqashid Sharia can serve as an inclusive, responsible, and long-term, public-benefit-oriented business model.
