Abstract

Da'wah is an activity that must be carried out by all Muslims in a moderate way and with a moderate message because the essence of Islam is a religion of calm and peace. Moderate Islam is often associated with radical, liberal Islam. Moderates do not accept the existence of liberal ideology in Islamic preaching which is exaggerated in the context of religious texts. In this modern era, the internet and social media can be used as a medium for da'wah. One thing used as an alternative for Habib Husein Bin Ja'far Al Hadar's learning is YouTube, which is a form of combination of Islam and information technology. The stages used in this research analysis are qualitative descriptive analysis. The presentation of the research results is presented as a descriptive content analysis combined with discourse analysis theory related to the preaching activities of Habib Husein Bin Ja'far Al Hadar Ja' 'fari on the YouTube social media channel "Pause Writing". Habib Husein Bin Ja'far Al Hadar explained that someone who assumes that media is overweight in diversity is indeed a horror in religion. On the other hand, someone who assumes that media is moderate tends to have a low level of constructivism. Islam in Indonesia is the majority that needs to be instilled with an attitude of tolerance, especially towards groups. Extreme Islamic groups who want to make this country a caliphate or Islamic State. Habib Husein Bin Ja'far Al Hadar instilled the principle that Islam and many other religions can live side by side and come together to help each other and not tear each other down. The use of YouTube media was warmly welcomed by Habib to spread the religion of Islam to show that Islam is a beautiful, peaceful, gentle and nurturing religion.

Abstract

The movie "Guru-Guru Gokil" is a comedy-drama genre film that constructs the current social reality of the teaching profession in society. It represents the community's paradigm of the degree and level of income of a teacher, thus covering the function and role of teachers in improving intellectual quality in education. Through this film, the researchers aim to discover the moral messages in the "Guru-Guru Gokil" movie scene. This study uses qualitative research methods with Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory. It involves the triangle of meaning analysis method, namely, representamen (signs or those that represent objects), object (something that is meant), and interpretant (meaning of a sign). Based on the results of this study, the findings are in the form of the following moral messages; the first is a religious message in the form of awareness to remind each other to carry out the fasting of Ramadan for Muslims. The second is honesty, in the form of good manners to maintain the trust of others in everything and avoid fraudulent actions for any reason. The third is discipline, maintaining ethical behavior in appreciating the time of neatness to create mutual comfort. The fourth is hard work, a personality that has a firm attitude by sacrificing all thought, energy, and time to achieve its goals. The fifth is independent, being able to survive and face all challenges by relying on individual abilities without involving other people who help. The sixth is the responsibility, being aware of the task and ready to accept the risks taken, and completing the obligations given.

Abstract

News related to the relocation of the National Capital City is a topic that is widely reported in the mass media, especially on online news portal. Detik and Kumparan are some of the online news portal that often report on the issue. This study aims to determine the social construction made by Detik and Kumparan on the news of the issue of moving the national capital. Descriptive qualitative research using a constructivism paradigm is used in this approach. This study aims to understand how the news about the National Capital City's relocation was presented by the two media using the framing analysis model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M Kosicki. In their research, Pan & Kosicki divide an event based on four structures, namely, Syntax, Script, Thematic and Rhetoric. The object of this research is in the form of news samples published on Detik and Kumparan regarding the capital move that will be carried out in the East Kalimantan region. The data collection technique in this research is using literature studies sourced from relevant journals. With this research, researchers hope to find the final result in the form of an analysis of news patterns related to the capital move to Kalimantan with the point of view of Detik and Kumparan using Pan & Kosicki framing analysis.

Abstract

Political participation is one of the benchmarks of the success of a democratic country. The digital era, with the rapid development of information technology and the internet, makes the world seem borderless. According to McLuhan (1964), the use of the Internet through various platforms allows people to exchange information in diverse ways and forms (Anggraeni et al., 2020). One of the most popular ways to exchange information today is through social media. Social media as a political communication tool, is a new alternative in conveying political messages and as a campaign tool. In Indonesia, the most widely used social media platforms for political communication are TikTok and Twitter. This study employs the literature review method to analyze findings from various previous studies and other reliable sources.The results of this study will compare the majority of Anies and Prabowo's supporters on TikTok and Twitter. The platforms can accelerate the dissemination of information and wield significant power in influencing the mindset and behavior of audiences.

Abstract

Media ownership in Indonesia is an important issue in the context of the political economy of media. Media ownership concentration refers to the domination of a large number of media by a small number of owners or groups of owners. This can have a significant impact on the diversity of views, competition, innovation, and access to information. This research aims to examine the impact of media ownership concentration on the political economy of media in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study or literature review method. Researchers collected and analyzed data from various sources such as books, journal articles, and other relevant sources. The results of the study show that media ownership concentration in Indonesia has a significant impact on the political economy of media. These impacts include reduced diversity of views and information, hindered innovation, reduced public access to information, and potential conflicts of interest between media owners and public interests. Media ownership concentration in Indonesia is an important issue that needs attention because it can affect aspects such as information diversity, competition, innovation, and public access to information. Therefore, efforts are needed to maintain a balance between the economic and political interests of the media and the public interest in obtaining diverse and objective information.
