Abstract

Several approaches can be used to gain the objective of dakwah, which is to meet the human nature with religion or to make someone realizes the truth of Islam and finally practices it This realization which is constructed by giving a dear thinking space, a dean heart, and with no violence is essential in creating successful dakwah. It is historically proved by prophet Muhammad PBUH through the Hudaibiyyah Agreement: 1) conflict-free condition is a condu­cive situation to spread Islam outside the Arabic Peninsula; 2) recognition of Islam as a legitimate religion in the Arab community, enabling an open dialogue about Islam; 3) acknowledgment of Muslim existence in Arab community; 4) by promoting peace, Muslims open free access to perform religious practices such as hajj and umrah in the following years.

Abstract

Banten is one of the oldest centers of Islamic culture in Indonesia. Acculturation, assimilation, and dijjuslon represent something that is inevitable between Islam and local culture, thus showing a typical culture. This area is also known for its magical atmosphere of the place in search of knowledge lc:anuragan, super­natural power, as a form of debus culture reflection. Clerics, warlords kiyai, and jawara, are symbols of this region, and they occupy the position of the central figures in the social stratification of local communities. Kiyai and the Jawara of an honorary degree from the traditionalist Islamic groups are not only seen as reli­gious figures, but also as charismatic community lea­ders. Their authority often exceed the power of the formal leader of an elite government. These exponents that characterize public offerings and bring to as diffe­rent regions in the archipelago, mainly due to the unique culture, local tradition that integrate culture with Islam.

Abstract

In 16 century, the sultanate Aceh under the Sultan Alauddin Riayat Syah al-Kahhar requested Ottoman as a powerful Islamic state in that time. Among the significant record wich refersto historical event, committed by al-Raniri in his 'magnum opus' Bustan al-Salatin. The Bustan al-Salatin record on Aceh-ottoman relation became benchmark to the further assistant request by following malay leaders. There is another sources, such as manuscript Tarikh Bandar Aceh Darussalam and Hikayat Meukota Alam which noted the same event and probably referring to the Bustan al-Salatin.

Abstract

This article explains about BUwaihid Dynasty. First, it will explain about the root of the dynasty wich came from Dailam ethnic of Syirdil Awandan tribe lived in Jilan mountains, Iran. The founding of this dynasty were 3 brother, Ali, HAsan, and Ahmad (the second of Buwaih). Second, it will focus on the political achievements of the Buwaihid Dynasty wich are divided into jthree periods. Thhe first period(945-1012) was the time of power consolidation.  THe second period (977-1012) was the time of ruling wich was started with Adhud al-Daulah's success in conquering Baghdad and continued with the ruling of his descendents. The third period (1012-1055) was the time of ruling wich was started with Adhud al-Daulah's success in conquering Baghdad and continued with the ruling of his descendents. The third period (1012-1055) was the time of the declining of the ruling started in 1012 until 1055 with al-Malik al-rahim as the last ruler. During Buwaihid Dynasty there was a changing of the ruler from chaliph palace (Dar al-Khilafah) to the kingdom palace (Dr al-Mamlakah) wich was built by the Buwaih dynasty in Baghdad.

Abstract

Mecca occupation (Fath Makkah) on 8 H/ January 630 M was a phenomenal and historical moment in islamic history. many muslim historians studied this event such as al-Thabari through his masterpiece, Tarikh al-Umam wa al-Muluk or Tarikh al-Rasul wa al-Muluk. Al-Thabari analysed this event by applying the "isnad" method and wrote it cronologically. he used kitab al-mabda, Sirah nabawiyah and Maghazi as his sources.

Abstract

Rohingya tribe lived in jungles spread in Araka, Myanmar since 8th century, were Muslim. they were considered as the second class citizen came from Banglades, treated inequally, and rejected to be part of country. this condition continued from 18th century up to now. this condition is a result of Burma ethnic domination (Tibeto-Burmans) which then became the militery regime. through Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO) established in 1980, Arakan Rohingya Islamic Front (ARIF) established in 1987, and Rohingya National alliance (RNA), the tribe has started to go againts the regime.

Abstract

This article is focus on the Arabic phonological concept wich was proposed by al-khalil Ibn Ahmad al-Farahidi in order to introduce the fluency of pronouncing Arabic words. According to al-farahidi the fluency of prononcing the Arabic words are formed through the grammatically arranged sentences, wich are built through the correct words. Mean while correct words are formed trough the exact placement of the sounds. This article will expose al-Farahidi's efforts in identifying the harmonious sound of Arabic words which finally form fluency of pronouncing the words.

Abstract

This article aims to explain how to translate the words of Bahasa Indonesia with the local cultural meaning, as sources language, to English, as target language. the mentioned words are taken from short story and would translate in the level og textual and referential level. firstly, it tried to find the meaning of the words based on the bilingual dictionary, Indonesian-English. Furthermore, they are consulted to the monolingual dictionary. finally the translation used is those accepted in target language speaking through the translation techniques, namely contextual conditioning.
