Abstract

The occurrence of several ship accidents in narrow waters of Madura strait which is the west shipping lane of Tanjung Perak Surabaya has inspired the research on the design of a control system on the ship to avoid any collision between ships. The existence of automatic control with the autopilot is required to minimize the occurrence of collisions between ships In this final study investigated the application of fuzzy logic to control the yaw angle on the vessel MV Karana Sembilan. Fuzzy logic used is Sugeno Takagi type with the input of the error yaw, yaw rate and distance of the ship with a disturbance. Tests conducted with a control system without disturbance, with disturbance, and the presence of obstacles in front of the ship. Performance of control system is obtained by using the disturbance, the fuzzy appearance is 2:41 hm distance position, the speed of 7.5 knots and 0.5 error, then the resulting yaw angle is 6580. Results control with fuzzy syncronized with monitoring at M&C system in visual basic. The view of the monitoring, 3 types of scenarios obtained. For the first scenario, which is created with the control on it, produces the best results of the avoidance, if compared to the second scenario, with trajectory and control anti-collision cross, and if compared with the third scenario that has no built control system with decision-making on it.

Abstract

Meyer’s seven sins have been recognized as types of mistakes that a requirements specialist are often fallen to when specifying requirements. Such mistakes play a significant role in plunging a project into failure. Many researchers were focusing in ambiguity and contradiction type of mistakes. Other types of mistakes have been given less attentions. Those mistakes often happened in reality and may equally costly as the first two mistakes. This paper introduces an approach to detect forward reference. It traverses through a requirements document, extracts, and processes each statement. During the statement extraction, any terms that may reside in the statement is also extracted. Based on certain rules which utilize POS patterns, the statement is classified as a term definition or not. For each term definition, a term is added to a list of defined terms. At the same time, every time a new term is found in a statement, it is check against the list of defined terms. If it is not found, then the requirements statement is classified as statement with forward reference. The experimentation on 30 requirements documents from various domains of software project shows that the approach has considerably almost perfect agreement with domain expert in detecting forward reference, given 0.83 kappa index value.

Abstract

This study was aimed to an examine antimicrobial activity of 34 soil molds isolates from the Wonorejo Surabaya on the growth of Gram negatif bacteria (Escherichia coli and Coliform Bacteria Group), Gram positif bacteria (Bacillus subtilis) and yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). Antimicrobial ability detected with modification of dual culture antagonism assay in Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium. The result showed that genus Aspergillus, Scopulariopsis, Penicillium, Paecilomyces, Fusarium, and Trichoderma were able to inhibit E. coli; while genus Aspergillus, Scopulariopsis, Penicillium, Paecilomyces, Exophiala, Stachybotrys, and Acremonium inhibit B. subtilis; further on only genus Aspergillus could inhibit group of Coliform bacteria); and genus Scopulariopsis, Penicillium, Trichoderma, and Absidia inhibited the growth of yeast S. cerevisiae.

Abstract

Karang Jamuang West Track - Tanjung Perak is one of the busiest routes for sea transportation in Indonesia. This paper proposes an attempt to optimize the ship’s trajectory by designing a track keeping control along that track line. Control system is designed based on fuzzy logic (FLC). FLC design intended to control the speed and the bow of the ship in order to keep the track. FLC 1 control the speed of the input changing by the distance, while the FLC 2 control the prow with yaw angle and yawrate error input. As an object for autopilot is Brotojoyo MT tanker. The research was done by simulation, and generate the ability of FLC which able to keep the track with small error

Abstract

Marine transportation as an important roles in Indonesia, it is two third of Indonesian territorial is waters. Tanjung Perak port is one busiest transportation in Indonesia. To enter the terminal ship is shipping throuh Madura strait. To enhance ship safety management, navigational device known as AIS used for navigational purpose. AIS data contain multiple ship specification, statically and dynamically. Those data can be used as inputs in maneuvering control. This research focus on creating ship maneuvering control system by utilizing AIS data. The strategic control is Fuzzy Logic (FL). The aim of research is carrying ship to the trajectory to collision avoidence to other ship. The Fuzzy Logic Control consits two units: Heading control and speed control. The case study is applying controler to the cargo ship, and disturbance is wind in various coming angle.
