Abstract

Abstract.The purpose of this researchis to helpsstudent to build their understanding about story termand up their problem solving. This research type of Classroom Actions Research (CAR) using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model with Polya’s method in fraction operations at VII-D grade of SMP Negeri 2 Arjasa. The research has two cycleswhich has devising a plan, action, observation, and reflection for each cycle.Data collected by documentation, observation, test and interview method. The data observation showed increasing about teacher’s activity and student’s activity from 1st cycle to 2nd cycle. The student’s learning in 1st cycle showed that 29 students completed and 11 students not completed. So, the classical completion results that class uncompleted with percentage 72,5%. But the student’s learning result of 2nd cycle showed a good progress andclass completed with percentage 82,5%. Abstract

Abstract.Metacognitionis thestudents' understanding of their weaknessesandstrengthsin learningandself-regulating during they are study, such asplanning, use andevaluationprocess. The research purposes are knowing process and result of development of instruments assessment junior high school students’ metacognition in solving mathematical story problems on the topic of pythagoras theorem in class viii. Instruments assessmentdevelopment model refers to Plomp model. Based on validation process and tryout the instruments assessment can be concluded that the learning sets had been appropriate with validate, reliable and practicecriteria. The result of the researchshows that the instruments satisfy the criteria of validity coefficient reaches 0,92, the reliability coefficient 0,8 andthe practicality percentage reaches 100 %. Abstract

Abstrak. Upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan adalah dengan mewujudkan pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan pengalaman pada siswa secara holistik-kontekstual menuju transformasi pengalaman yang ilmiah pada diri siswa. Suatu pembelajaran hendaknya menekankan pada hubungan yang harmonis antara belajar, bekerja, dan aktivitas belajar lainnya dalam menciptakan atau menemukan pengetahuan yang dicari. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian tentang pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan pengalaman awal siswa dengan pengalaman saintifik, yaitu dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kontekstual melalui model REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Siswa Kelas VIIC SMP Negeri 1 Mumbulsari Jember Mata Pelajaran Matematika Materi Aritmatika Sosial. Abstract

Abstract.Strategy of Inquiry learning are series of learning activity that emphasize on critical and analitycal thinking process to look for and find its own answer from the problems asked. This strategy can improve the students mind in learning and students achievement in the classroom. Steps of inquiryare orientation, formulating problem, formulating hypothesis, collecting data, testing hypothesis, and formulating conclusion. The result showed that teacher and students gave good responses toward teaching learning activity by using inquiry. Those good responses were proved by the improvement of studends learning activities. Students competence in material Circumference and Area of circle reached 74,42%. Beside that, there is good effect of the students though after teaching and learning process. All of them showed that inquirycan help students to look for and find the answer of problems are studied. Abstract

Abstract.The goal of this research aims to know the process and the result of developmental Realistic Mathematics Educatioan Instruments by think pair share setting for square and rectangle topics at seven grade junior high school. Learning instrument development model refers to four D models. The products of this research are lesson plan, student book, worksheet, and evaluation test. The products refer to the characteristic of Realistic Mathematics Education and phases of Think Pair Share. Based on the validation process try out of learning instruments, it can be concluded that the learning instrumets have satisfied of the validity, practice, and effective criteria. Key Words:Realistic Mathematics Education, Think Pair Share, square and rectangle.

Abstract

Abstract.The aims of this study was: (1) to explain the implementing of PBI (Problem Based Instruction) models with Performance Assessment in the surface area and volume of cube and beamsat VIII-A Class of Junior High School 1 Jenggawah Jember at even semester of 2012/2013 academic years; (2) to analyze students’ activities during teaching learning process by using of PBI (Problem Based Instruction) models with Performance Assessment; (3) to analyze the result of students’ achievement after implementing of PBI (Problem Based Instruction) models with Performance.The research design used Classroom Action Research (CAR).The research subject was 37 students in class VIII-A of SMP Negeri 1 Jenggawah. Data collection method was observation, interview, test, and documentation.In the first cycle, completeness the student learning outcomes classically is 59,46%. And the second cycle, completeness the student learning outcomes classically is 89,19%. So the increase of the both cycle classically above was 30,37%. Abstract

Abstract.The research purpose is to know the process and result of development of mathematics learning instruments based on contextual teaching and learning by setting of cooperative learning jigsaw for rhombus and kitestopic at seventh grade of junior high school. The products refer to the component of contextual teaching and learningand phases of jigsaw. Learning instrumentsdevelopment model refers to 4D Thiagarajanmodels which has 4 steps namely define, design, develop, and disseminate.This research has fourproducts namely lesson plan, worksheet,student book and evaluation test. Based on the validation process and try out of learning sets can be concluded that the learning sets have satisfied of the validity, practice, and effective criteria. The data collection methods used in this research is, test interview, documentation, observation,and questionnaire.
