Abstract

The research of the survival level of mangrove seed Rhizophora mucronata, R. apiculata and Bruguiera gymnorrhiza had been conducted during August to December 2009 in Upang Delta, Banyuasin. The objective of conducting this research was to find out the percentage of survival level of mangrove seed Rhizophora mucronata, R. apiculata, and Bruguiera gymorrhiza and to obtain some information to analyzed the level of adaptation among those three species of mangrove seed. The decision of survival level was observed based on the ability to live (%), the height of bud (cm), the number of leaf it has (sheet), and the stem illustration of observed object through sample data under such circumstances. The rate’s of presentation lives mangrove seed from threes station. First station Rhizophora mucronata 100-73,3 %, R. apiculata 100-60 % and Bruguiera gymnorrhiza 100-66,6 %. Second station, Rhizophora mucronata 100-66,6 %, R. apiculata 100-86,6 % and Bruguiera gymnorrhiza 100-73,3 %, on third station, Rhizophora mucronata 100-66,6 %, R. apiculata 100-80 % and Bruguiera gymnorrhiza 100-66,6 %. The level adaptation of but has changed comparisons of stem diameters and quantity of leaf.   Keywords: Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Mangrove, Rhizophora apiculata and R. mucronata Penelitian tingkat keberhasilan hidup bibit mangrove Rhizophora mucronata, R. apiculata dan Bruguiera gymnorrhiza telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus- Desember 2009 di Delta Upang Banyuasin. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui persentase keberhasilan hidup bibit mangrove Rhizophora mucronata, R. apiculata dan Bruguiera gymnorrhiza serta mengetahui dan menganalisa tingkat adaptasi ketiga bibit mangrove. Penentuan tingkat keberhasilan diamati dari persentase hidup (%), tinggi tunas (cm), jumlah daun (helai), serta diameter batang (mm). Analisis data yang digunakan secara deskriftif yaitu dengan cara memberikan gambaran terhadap objek yang diteliti melalui data sampel sebagaimana adanya. Rata-rata tingkat persentase hidup dari masing-masing bibit mangrove ketiga stasiun Rhizophora mucronata stasiun satu 100-73,3 %, R. apiculata 100-60 %, dan Bruguiera gymnorrhiza 100-66,6 %. Stasiun dua Rhizophora mucronata 100-66,6 %, R. apiculata 100-86,6 % dan Bruguiera gymnorrhiza 100-73,3 %, Pada stasiun tiga Rhizophora mucronata 100-66,6 %, R. apiculata 100-80 % dan Bruguiera gymnorrhiza 100-66,6 %. Tingkat adaptasi tinggi tunas mengalami perubahan dibandingkan diamater batang dan jumlah daun.   Kata kunci : Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Mangrove, Rhizophora apiculata a and R. mucronat.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the leading tuna exporters in the world. The total export volume of tuna in 2004 was 94,221 tons valued at US $ 243,937 million However, export of fresh tuna has been hampered by several quality problems, particularly high content of histamine and heavy metals. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) reported that during period of 2001-2005, there were 350 cases of tuna rejections in the US due to the above mentioned problem. Likewise, in recent years, exports of tuna from Indonesia to European Union member countries have been subjected to RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) and export suspension by the European Commission. It is obvious therefore, that efforts to improve post harvest handling are highly imperative. This research was conducted in Pelabuhan Ratu, West Java and Research Center For Marine and Fisheries Product Processing and Biotechnology, Jakarta. Newly caught tuna were unloaded and transported to Jakarta with proper icing. Quality changes were monitored, including core temperature of fish, pH, K-value (inosine, hipoxantine, IMP, AMP, ADP, ATP), histamine, heavy metal (Hg and Cd), and microbiology. The pH value of fresh tuna samples upon arrival at the laboratory varied between 5.85-6.01. Whereas the K-value and histamine contents were 2.01- 13.74% and 1.28-1.61 mg/100g respectively. Total microbial count and histamine producing bacteria were 102-2.5 x 104 cfu/g and 101-1.99 x 102 cfu/g respectively. Mercury and cadmium content were 0.076-0.501 ppb and 0.052-0.398 ppb respectively.   Keywords : Post Catching, Quality, Tuna     Indonesia adalah salah satu eksportir tuna terkemuka di dunia. Total volume ekspor ikan tuna pada tahun 2004 adalah 94.221 ton senilai US $ 243.937 juta Namun, ekspor tuna segar telah terhambat oleh beberapa masalah kualitas, khususnya yang tinggi kandungan histamin dan logam berat. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) melaporkan bahwa selama periode tahun 2001-2005, ada 350 kasus penolakan tuna di AS karena masalah tersebut di atas. Demikian juga, dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, ekspor tuna dari Indonesia ke negara-negara anggota Uni Eropa telah mengalami RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) dan suspensi ekspor oleh Komisi Eropa. Jelas karena itu, bahwa upaya untuk meningkatkan penanganan pasca panen sangat penting. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pelabuhan Ratu, Jawa Barat dan Pusat Penelitian Kelautan dan Perikanan Untuk Pengolahan Produk dan Bioteknologi, Jakarta. Baru menangkap ikan tuna yang dibongkar dan diangkut ke Jakarta dengan icing yang tepat. Kualitas perubahan dimonitor, termasuk suhu inti dari ikan, pH, K-nilai (inosine, hipoxantine, IMP, AMP, ADP, ATP), histamin, logam berat (Hg dan Cd), dan mikrobiologi. Nilai pH sampel tuna segar pada saat kedatangan di laboratorium bervariasi antara 5,85-6,01. Sedangkan nilai-K dan isi histamin adalah 2,01-13,74% dan 1,28-1,61 mg/100g masing. menghitung mikroba bakteri penghasil histamin adalah Total dan 102-2,5 x 104 cfu / g dan 101-1,99 x 102 cfu / g masing-masing. Mercury dan konten cadmium adalah 0,076-0,501 ppb dan 0,052-0,398 ppb masing. Kata kunci: Kualitas, Pos Penangkapan, Tuna

Abstract

Researches on the spatial distribution of sediment characteristics and community structure of macrozoobenthos have been executed on November 17th to 20th 2009 in Kuala Sugihan estuaries. The purpose of this study is, to measure water quality, study the spatial distribution of sediment characteristics, knowing the structure of macrozoobenthos communities and study the spatial distribution of macrozoobenthos in estuaries Kuala Sugihan. Data analysis was done of macrozoobenthos community structure analysis performed by determining the value of diversity index (H'), uniformity index (E) and dominance index (C) species. The research that physical-chemical water parameters measured showed values that are still at the threshold quality standard that allowed for marine life (KLH Ministerial Decree No. 51 of 2004). Caracteristics (physics-chemistry) in estuarine sediments Kuala Sugihan showed that sediment texture of clay to the clay berliat and dusty clay is a suitable habitat for life and affect the density of macrozoobenthos and species composition of each observation station. Macrozoobenthos found in estuarine waters of Kuala Sugihan as many as 21 species included in four classes Polychaeta (nine species), gastropods (nine species), Bivalvia (2 species) and crustaceans (one species). Diversity index (H') at the study sites were the highest 3.238. Station 1 is located on the inside of the mouth is found only one type of spatial Polychaeta.   Keywords: Kuala Sugihan Estuarine and Makrozoobenthos Penelitian mengenai struktur komunitas makrozoobentos telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17-20 November 2009 di estuaria Kuala Sugihan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu, mengukur kualitas perairan, mengukur kualitas sedimen dan mengetahui struktur komunitas makrozoobentos dan mempelajari sebaran spasial makrozoobentos di estuaria Kuala Sugihan. Analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu analisa struktur komunitas makrozoobentos dilakukan dengan menentukan nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’), indeks keseragaman (E) dan indeks Dominansi (C) spesies. Hasil penenlitian bahwa parameter fisika-kimia air yang terukur menunjukkan nilai-nilai yang masih berada pada ambang batas baku mutu yang diperbolehkan bagi kehidupan biota laut (Kepmen KLH No. 51 Tahun 2004). Karakteristik (fisika-kimia) sedimen di estuaria Kuala Sugihan menunjukkan bahwa tektur sedimennya berupa lempung ke arah lempung berliat dan lempung berdebu merupakan habitat yang cocok bagi kehidupan makrozoobentos dan berpengaruh kepada kepadatan serta komposisi jenis dari setiap stasiun pengamatanMakrozoobentos yang ditemukan di perairan estuaria Kuala Sugihan sebanyak 21 jenis yang termasuk di dalam 4 kelas yaitu Polychaeta (9 jenis), Gastropoda (9 jenis), Bivalvia (2 jenis) dan Crustacea (1 jenis). Nilai indeks keanekaragaman jenis (H’) pada lokasi penelitian yang tertinggi yaitu 3,238 dan yang terendah yaitu 0. Stasiun 1 yang berada di bagian dalam muara hanya ditemukan satu jenis dari kelas Polychaeta.   Kata kunci : Estuaria Kuala Sugihan dan makrozoobentos

Abstract

Batang Arau River and Muara Padang has many activities of human being such as agriculture, resident, hospital and anchorage. At the end, this condition will disturb biota lifecycle and environment esthetics. In fact, goverment of Padang Town has planned Muara Padang as a center of tourism in Padang. The purpose of this research is to find information about organic pollutant at Muara Padang. The water quality parameter analysis (COD) indicated that Batang Arau Rives (Station 1 and 2) was polluted by organic pollutant because not suitable with waters quality standard (Base on Kepmen No. 51/MENLH/2004 and PP RI No. 82 2001). Water quality at estuaries and sea area (Station 3,4,5,6 and 7) still good and supported of life organisms in this area.   Keywords: Batang Arau Rives, Estuary, Organic Pollutant, Padang and Water Quality     Batang Arau Sungai dan Muara Padang memiliki banyak aktivitas manusia seperti pertanian, penduduk, rumah sakit dan pelabuhan. Pada akhirnya, kondisi ini akan mengganggu siklus hidup biota dan estetika lingkungan. Bahkan, pemerintah Kota Padang telah direncanakan Muara Padang sebagai pusat pariwisata di Padang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari informasi tentang polutan organik di Muara Padang. Kualitas air parameter analisis (COD) menunjukkan bahwa Batang Arau Rives (Stasiun 1 dan 2) sudah tercemar oleh polutan organik karena tidak sesuai dengan standar mutu perairan (Berdasarkan Kepmen No 51/MENLH/2004 dan PP RI No 82 2001) . Kualitas air di daerah muara dan laut (Stasiun 3,4,5,6 dan 7) masih baik dan didukung organisme hidup di daerah ini. Kata kunci: Rives Batang Arau, Muara, Polutan Organik, Padang dan Kualitas Air
