Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of green tea on the level of blood pressure and LDL in patient with hypertension at UPT Pelayanan Sosial Lansia Pasuruan. The design was a quasi experimental study using a equivalent control group with pre and post test approach. A total sampling of 20 patients employed as an intervention group and a control group of 20 patients. Green tea have showed a ability to reduce the level of systolic and diastolic blood pressure (p= 0,001). It is recommended to conduct further research using appropriate number of samples, composition test of green tea characteristic, and also using repeated measure approach.

Abstract

Autism is a complex development disorder attributed with communication, social interaction, and imagination activity. Disturbance of social interaction on autism could affect learning and behaviour aspects. The study aimed to analyze the influence of applied behaviour analysis method: social ability on autism children's social interaction ability. The study used pre experimental design with one group pretest posttest without control group design. The sample was 15 children, with using total sampling. Data was analyzed with Wilcoxon Match Pair Test. The result showed majority autism children (66,7%) had a less ability of social interaction before intervention (pre test), and majority autism children (53,3%) had enough ability of social interaction after intervention (post test). Data analyzed showed that P value was 0,008 (0,008 p≤0,05). It can be concluded that there is an influence of applied behaviour analysis method: social ability on autism children's social interaction ability, it is suggested for the family with an autism child to give applied behaviour analysis method: social ability to exercise the autism children's social interaction ability.

Abstract

Hypertension patients are also potentially to damage brain function is anatomically and functionally. Many sufferers of hypertension as well as the long suffering from hypertension sufferer's quality of life including the influential on the quality of memory. The therapy has been used to prevent memory decline is with supplements consumption and also controls tight against the blood pressure with medication but untapped potential colors. The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of exposure to color (red, blue and green) on short term memory retention of hypertension sufferers. Design research is a Quasi Experimental Design and type design Only Non Equivalent Posttest Control Group Design. and the number of samples of 68 patients of hypertension according the criteria of inclusion. Results of this research show there is the influence of green color retention against short term memory with values p 0.001 and increase retention by 18.4% and results are not meaningful in red and blue colors with each p 0,243 and 0,831 by simply improving short term memory retention respectively at 2.3% and 0.1%. The department of health and hospitals use the color green room especially for painting the room on hypertension and the nurse to use the dominant color green on media outreach and health education.

Abstract

Competency-based orientation program is a method of new nurse orientation programs. Research on cross-sectional descriptive correlational aimed to analyze the relationship of competency-based orientation program with the performance of new nurses in a inpatient unit at Husada hospital Jakarta. Results for 58 new nurses in the Husada hospital new nurses get a good view of interpersonal competence (72.4%), good technical competence (53.4%), good competence in critical thinking (58.6%). New nurses to see better performance (72.4%). Analysis showed any relationship between competency-based orientation program with the performance of new nurses (p = 0.000, CI: 0.336, 0.696). Competence of new nurses to form a new nurse has a professional performance so that important programs applied in any orientation of new nurses.

Abstract

The socialization ability is a person�s ability when interacting with others people the community. In times of social change, students seeking self-identity. In search of identity is they must have the socialization ability to open their self. The purpose of this reasearch is to identify relationship the ability with self disclosure in students class VIII at SMP Giripuro Sumpiuh. This was quantitative non-experimental method with crossectional approach reasearch. The population was 121 student class VIII at SMP Giripuro Sumpiuh, then the responden is 55 students were selected as sample choosen by purposive sampling. The data analysis used Chi square. Chi square test show that 39 students (70.9%) have good socialization ability, 28 students are good socialization skills but keterbukaan diri enough. While students who have less social skills were 7 students (12.7%), two student self disclosure is high. The results of statistical analysis Chi square test obtained that there is a significant�s relationship between the ability to socialize with student�s self disclosure. There was significant relation between the socialization ability and self disclosure in VIII class students at SMP Giripuro Sumpiuh.

Abstract

Mental retardation is a special needs child who has a physical or social limitations that need care and responsibilities of all time. Care and responsibility it takes time, effort, and cost quite a bit, and could pose a anxiety to the family, so the need to strengthen support in the form of supportive group therapy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of supportive group therapy toward the anxiety level in the care of children at SLB Banyumas District. This study used a quasi experimental design, pre-post test with control group, which will be compared to family anxiety levels between the intervention group and the control group. The results of the statistical test obtained p value of 0.008 indicating a significant difference in anxiety levels between the family intervention group and the control group after administration of supportive group therapy (p≤: 0.05). Supportive group therapy contributes to improved family functioning psychologically so as to reduce anxiety levels of caring for mental retardation. Recommendations of this study is to establish a parent support group in SLB, composed of families who have children with mental retardation.
