Abstract

The natural disaster and design mistake can damage the bridge structure. The damage caused a severe safety problem to human. The study aims to develop the intelligent system for bridge health monitoring due to earthquake load. The Genetic Algorithm method in Neuro-Genetic hybrid has applied to optimize the acceptable Neural Network weight. The acceleration, displacement and time history of the bridge structural responses are used as the input, while the output is the damage level of the bridge. The system displays the alert warning of decks based on result prediction of Neural Network analysis. The best-predicted rate for the training, testing and validation process is 0.986, 0.99, and 0.975 respectively. The result shows the damage level prediction is agreeable to the damage actual values. Therefore, this method in the bridge monitoring system can help the bridge authorities to predict the health condition of the bridge rapidly at any given time.

Abstract

Image reconstruction software and its image reconstruction algorithm are an important step towards constructing a tomography system. This paper demonstrates an image reconstruction of solid profile using linear back projection (LBP) algorithm and global threshold. A forward problem and inverse problem are discussed. The modelled of sensitivity distributions using COMSOL proved that the system is able to detect the liquid-solid regime in vertical pipe. Additionally, the location of the phantom can be easily distinguished using LBP algorithm and thresholding technique. The simulations and experiments results indicate that the sensitivity distribution of non-invasive ERT system can be applied in getting a tomogram of the medium of interest.

Abstract

In this paper, we presented issues, challenges, and solutions of videoconference system for rural education. First, we discussed several issues on the implementation of videoconference system for education, particulary in rural area in Indonesia, which covered videoconference requirement, rural condition, and education needs. Second, we presented several challenges consisted of choosing videoconference technology, choosing compression method, system and application development, ensuring quality of services, and ensuring quality of experiences. Based on the issues and challenges, we proposed a solution of videoconference system which is specifically deployed in rural education. The solution was based on WebRTC technology implemented in Intel i5 core miniPC choosen to increase portability of the system. A STUN server was built on Javascript to facilitate communication between each client terminal. A simple and intuitive user interface was designed to facilitate the use of application by rural people. The system was deployed at two elementary schools in Cianjur, West Java, representing rural education in Indonesia. From the experiment, we obtained video sent data rate 82 kbit/s, video received data rate 245 kbit/s, average delay 316 ms and packet lost rate 1.32%. The experiment results showed that the audio and video quality can be accepted by users to implement distance learning.

Abstract

Decision-makinghas been growth rapidly and many methods can used. Thus, how to apply that methode not only fast but also right. One of implementationdecision making is decision support system in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This research using data test with Association Rule and Fisher Exact One Side P-Value from same problems in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Object from this research to get pattern of association between symptom and root cause, to prove relation those variable. Previous research prove any relation between that two variable when use Association Rule and Pearson Chi-Square but many rule must eliminated because not ineligable from Pearson Chi-Square. The meaning of this research to confirm proof of test relation between symptom and root cause in CMMS. And hope with this result of test can make strength hypothesis from previous research.

Abstract

The human locomotion is studied through gait analysis and is best observed instrumentally rather than observing visually. Thus, a portable insole pressure mapping system is built to assist in studying the human gait cycle. The pressure distribution is determined by instrumentally mapping the insole using force sensitive resistive sensors that are connected to Arduino UNO via cables. The values are saved into a secure digital card that could be post processed. Hardware and software design phase are executed for the development of this project. The outcomes match to the knowledge of human gait definitions in static posture and normal walking.
