Abstract

Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) is a problem of searching shortest route from origin point and back to the same point by considering transportation capacity. VRP is varian of Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). In this research a metaheurstics method called Partial Comparison Optimization (PCO) was developed to search close optimal solution in order to solve combinatorial optimization such as TSP. Some data instance from TSPLIB was used to evaluate the performance of PCO. The numerical result showed that this proposed optimisation algorithm could achieve near optimum solution.

Abstract

Air Traffic Controller is one profession with special and complex level of expertise. This is because an ATC controller has activities that involve mindset, communication, decision making, interaction and relationships between human-computers that are vulnerable to errors. And it has a very high risk because it deals with the safety of many people. The task of an ATC controller is to maintain a safe distance between planes that have variations with the density of traffic and airspace. This study aims to determine the relationship between ATC (humanware) controllers and technological components in ATC systems, among others: Organization (orgaware), software (infoware) and equipment / machinery (technoware) of ATC equipment. To identify and know the relationship between variables, with Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the t-statistical value, obtained significant influential factors indicating the existence of a relationship between the ATC controller (humanware) and other system components (infoware, orgaware, and technoware).

Abstract

X is one of manufactur plan for produceof cement facilities. The problems found in the company are still the condition of overstock or excess inventory of raw materials which results in swelling of inventory costs. This study aims to provide an optimal amount of raw material inventory so as to minimize total inventory costs and determine the savings in raw material inventory costs. The effort to control raw material inventory uses the Lagrange Multiplier method so that the research objectives are achieved. The object of this study was on the SWEN Cement Packaging which experienced Overstock. Conclusions obtained optimal order for Woven Lamination of 212.2 tons, Kraft (Kenner Paper) of 257.78 and Neolin Yarn of 50.81, with a Total Cost (TCQ * Li) Lagrange Multiplier produced at Rp.554.360.200 -From the calculation results obtained that the total inventory costs by the Lagrange Multiplier method amounted to Rp. 554.360.200, - while the initial total cost was Rp. 726.105.000, which resulted in savings of 23.66%.

Abstract

SUKORINTEX is a company that works in the textile industry, which is a production company for woven sarongs. The production system used is MTO (make to order), PT. SUKORINTEX has 5 work stations in the production process, namely preparation, weaving, gray room, finishing and pakaging work stations. Based on the initial observations that were made, there were obstacles where there were several unemployed work stations, while several other work stations were still working in full and there were bottlenecks. Therefore, a balance of trails is needed in order to minimize idle time at each work station.In the initial condition the company is aware of a balance delay value of 57%, line efficiency 43%, smoothness index 1326.95 and the number of work elements 19 and work stations 5. This research was conducted aimed at correcting the imbalance problems that exist within the company using the method line balancing which is the moodie young method. With the application of the moodie young method, improvements were obtained with 28% balance delay, 72% line efficiency, 659.36 smoothness index and 19 work elements and work stations 3. Thus the moodie young method can be used to improve production lines at PT. SUKORINTEX

Abstract

The problem of quantity of new students from the year since its inception in 2002 until now in the Industrial Engineering Study Program is increasingly worrying. Identification of the root causes has been widely discussed by managers and management officials, but the reality is increasingly critical. Many methods have been carried out through various road promotion efforts but the results are still not significant. What is the root of the problem here?The proposed strategy model examines the problem from upstream to downstream with consideration of IFE and EFE, and is analyzed by SWOT from the perspective of SCM and SCI. Where the root of the problem is peeled off from the subjective perspective of the researcher based on the mapping of the Fish Bone Diagram.The expectation of this strategy model for increasing the quantity of Unisbank Industrial Engineering students in Semarang, even though it is still in the design phase of the strategy model.
