Abstract

Indonesia, which is part of the region, contributes 25 provinces including areas that have not been free from the endemic of rabies. One of the provinces that ranked top in the cases of rabies was North Sulawesi. Therefore, this study aims to find correlations between factors related to the prevalence of rabies deaths in North Sulawesi Province in 2015 - 2017. This study used a mixed ecological study design by applying the principle of total sampling to 15 districts/citiesin North Sulawesi. The results of the study found that there was a negative and weak strength correlation on the anti rabiesvaccine coverage factor (r = 0.279), moderate strength correlation on the ratio of health care workers (r = 0.345), and the ratio of health care facilities (r = 0.320) to the mortality of rabies. While the sex ratio factor is positive and has moderate strength (r = 0.365) against the mortality of rabies. The new findings of health care facility and health care workers that have a moderate strength correlation need to be included in the prevention of rabies approach because it can help to facilitate washing wounds treatment.

Abstract

In order to improve the quality and performance of health services, health information systems are one of the most important technologies in health management. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the adoption of nutrition information system by nutrition officers of primary health care by using Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (UTAUT) Model. This research is quantitative research with survey approach, located in 39 primary health care of Banyumas district. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Respondents are 50 people. The research instrument used questionnaire. Based on regression test results known that factors related to use behaviour is behavioral intention. While the facilitating condition is not related to use behavior. Factors associated with behavioral intention is the performance expectancy, effort expectancy and social influence.

Abstract

Prevention of complications of diabetes mellitus requires good control of diabetes mellitus. Based on Basic Health Research Data of the Ministry of Health, in the end of 2013, the number of diabetic patients in Indonesia had reached 9.1 million and this number continues to grow which in 2030, the number is predicted to reach 21.3 million. This study aimed to identify the paramaters of diabetes mellitus control. This descriptive study involved 30 diabetic patients in coastal communities of Surabaya who were randomly selected. Data collection was undertaken using an observation sheet and diabetes control measurement tools. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that diabetes control were mostly poor based from the indicator of fasting blood glucose level (181.77±68.728) and two hours postprandial blood glucose level (277.07±111.884). Meanwhile, total cholesterol (196.43±60.640), blood pressure (systolic 125±16.969 and diastolic 78±8.469), and Body Mass Index (23,257±3,231) were good. Education on Self Care Management will support the control of diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Abstract

The textile industries’ growth in 2018 have contributed to national economic growth (Kemenperin, 2018). Enhancing competitiveness through conductive business climate is a strategic step to increase productivity (Kemenperin, 2017).  Surakarta is one of the major cities in Indonesia famous for its textile products. Based on Indonesian Statistic Center, in 2016, the national textile industry productivity declined to 7.65%, directly affecting the productivity of textile industries in Surakarta, including PT IT. The weaving department of PT IT experienced the highest decline in work productivity with physical factor exposure more than Threshold Limit Value (TLV), including lighting intensity. This research aimed to analyze the correlation between the light intensity and worker productivity in 2018. This was a quantitative observational analytic research with cross sectional design in PT IT. From 50 workers in the weaving department, 32 were selected as samples through random sampling method. Light intensity was measured using Lux Meter ANA 999 in 32 measurement points. Work productivity was calculated using Productivity formula= Output (O)/ Input (I). Spearman correlation and SPSS program were used for data analysis. The result showed that there was a significant correlation between light intensity and worker’s productivity (p=0.000, r=0.629).
