Abstract

The Research on water quality parameters for the cultivation of patin fish (Pangasius pangaisus) in cage in the Kahayan River, aims to determine whether there are changes in water quality for each parameter were observed from March 2011 until March 2012. The results showed the water quality in Kahayan River especially in the fish cages area from March 2011 to March 2012 shows a decrease in water quality parameters: temperature, pH, DO, CO2, ammonia and brightness. This decrease is caused due to high rainfall in 2011 than in 2012 but it is a human activity along the Kahayan River. Although a decline in water quality around fish cages in the Kahayan River, was not too disturbing fish cultivation in the Kahayan River especially for the month of March 2011 until March 2012, meaning that the water quality can still be tolerated by fish.

Abstract

Processing of fishery products are generally intended to preserve freshness, preserve, create a product that has physical and chemical properties are different than the original, but still frowned upon by society. Fish ball (Bakso) is the result of fish processing is done by mixed fish meat that has been crushed / milled with tapioca flour and spices, formed spheres (balls), then boiled / steamed at a temperature of 90 ± 2 ° C for 30 minutes. The research goal to determine the composition of tapioca in order to obtain compact meatballs with the ideal flavor, and have good nutritional value for consumers. The best results were based on proximate analysis and organoleptic tests on toman fish meatball product, obtained in the treatment of the B by nutritional value: carbohydrate 16.5%, protein 10.92%, fat 1.2%, and 70.4% water. and organoleptic value of 7.2 (hedonic scale). The resulting specification meatball (appearance) is clean and attractive, distinctive odor attractive meatball taste, unique flavor of fish meatballs and delicious, and quite firm and compact.

Abstract

Research on the analysis of production costs and income of patin fish (Pangasius pangasius) farming in Kapuas Regency, aims to determine how the influence of production costs partially or individuals on income patin fish. The research method is a simple probability sampling with random sampling and interview. The results of the study since the year 2008-2011 showed that patin fish production levels affect the patin fish farmers' income and the presence of a strong relationship and a positive correlation between production costs and revenues.

This research is using descriptive method by using data derived from relevant agencies such as Fisheries and Animal Husbandry department of South Barito Regency, Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Central Kalimantan Province and the results of surveys conducted in the study area. The data obtained were analyzed using proportional analysis of individual cases of the observed variables. The results showed an increase in cattle population of 15.16%, 5.93% buffalo and goat by 6.07%. In each year the average number of cows cut as many as 528.2 head, buffaloes 15.6 head and goat 1447.2 head. The average number of cows that came out of the study area as much as 196.6 head/ yr, 118.8 buffalo head / yr and 283 goat head / yr. The average number of cows that entered into the study area as much as 34.4 tails, ox 97.2 tails and goat 347 tails. Whereas the average cow is grown by 11.72 per family tails, ox 27.98 tails and goat 11.08 tails. Abstract

Mining, logging and forest fires along the stream Kahayan and Katingan in Central Kalimantan effected of Hg, Cd and Pb in river and estuarine waters rise. The aim of this study was to evaluate the content of Hg, Cd and Pb in the hardfin bone of Catfish in estuaries. Samplings were done once a month and three replicates per station for four months. Extracts of Hg, Cd and Pb were contained within the hardfin bone tissue of Catfish were analyzed using Atomic absorption Spectrophotometer. The results showed that all catfish hardfin bone samples in the estuary Kahayan containing an average of 0.018 mgHg/kg, 0.029 mgCd/kg and 0.944 mgPb/kg; hardfin bone tissue of Catfish in the estuary Katingan river containing an average of 0.021 mgHg/kg, 0.027 mgCd/kg and 0.802 mgPb/kg. Hardfin bone of Catfish had the capacity to accumulate Hg higher than Cd and Pb.

Abstract

White mustard represent the delicious leaf vegetable likely and also many containing vitamin A and vitamin C and also a few/little vitamin B. On that account seen from its vitamin content, hence white mustard represent the leaf vegetable which enough good for our body. The research aimed at knowing the effects of doses from quail manure to growth and production of white mustard crop and to obtain get the doses of quail manure able to give the growth and production of highest white mustard crop. This research represent the field attempt use the Group Random Design with five group as replication accurate by factor doses from quail manure (p) with five level that is 0 t ha-1 (p1), 10 t ha-1 ( p2), 15 t ha-1 ( p3), 20 t ha-1 ( p4) and 25 t ha-1 ( p5). The result of this research indicate that the giving fertilizer of the quail manure 15 t ha-1 give the highest variable to crop length, the giving fertilizer of the quail manure 20 t ha-1 give the highest variable to crop length (10 hst and 17 hst), wide of leaf, dirty weight, clean weight and dry weight.
