Abstract

In the domains that deal with a large scale image applications force the use of image compression in order to reduce the required storage. Due to the constrained bandwidth and storage capacity in the field of marine a new compression technique for the compression of the satellite images is proposed here. In our system, we are separating the region of Region of Interest (ROI) part from the original image. And this ROI images can be used for compression scheme by an algorithm known as the Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT) algorithm. The SPIHT algorithm is a part of the Lossless compression algorithm. The performance of our method can be done by calculating the PSNR values of the output images.

Abstract

In all the fields that make use of the images in a large scale for the image applications there is need for the image compression process in order to minimize the size of the storage. Likewise in the marine field there is use of the images like satellite images for their communication purpose. So to make use of them we are proposing a new image compression technique for the compression of the satellite images by using the Region of Interest (ROI)based on the lossy image technique called the Embedded Zero-Tree Wavelet (EZW) algorithm for the compression. The performance of our method can be evaluated and analyzing the PSNR values of the output images.

Abstract

The process of adding and removing the noises to an image is said to be as Image denoising. The process can be used in many image applications. This paper presents a method of satellite image denoising scheme using a wavelet transform called as Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT). The noise that is added in this scheme is the salt and pepper noise. By using hard thresholding method in the noise image the co-ordinates of the image can be changed and the original image can be retrieved by removing the noise. This can be done by Inverse Discrete Cosine Transform (IDCT). The performance measures of the proposed system can be done by measuring the PRNR values of the denoised image.

Abstract

The IoT applications in the agriculture industry are intertwined in many ways, creating a hybrid construct of traditional businesses with digital connectivity implementations. Strategic issues and principles on the assimilation of IoT solutions are prevail through time: investment costs, data interconnectivity, management and analysis, as well as data security. The agriculture industry is expected to be always alerted for the changes that may apply, with all the contemporary challenges and future directions responding to the situations, so it can reap the optimum use of the IoT connectivity.

Abstract

In this paper, a Multiple Input Multiple Output (2x2MIMO)  patch antenna for  multiband applications has been proposed. It has been designed using groups of rings nearby the stepped cut at four corners of the patch and a separation in mid slot. This modification is proposed in order to increase the resonant frequencies and reduce the mutual coupling. The proposed 2x2 MIMO patch antenna is simulated using Computer Simulation Technology (CST), fabricated and tested. With such small geometrical dimensions, the proposed antenna is suitable for LTE (1.8 GHz), WiFi (2.4 GHz), and WiMax (3.5 GHz, 5.2 GHz and 5.5 GHz) applications

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to presents analyses for multicast network mobility management using NS3. It is mainly to verify the proposed network architecture and its activities.  NS3 is a network simulator that implements virtually network prototype that is close to real implementation. Network mobility management has become a popular topic in networking research due to its ability to mitigate mobile IPv6 problems. However the standard network mobility management only introduced to support unicast traffic. Hence this paper integrates context transfer and multicast fast reroute, and implements this integration to the standard network mobility management. This implementation enables multicast to network mobility management with high network performance support. The analyses focus on the throughput performance. The analyses of this simulator are hereby presented.
