Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of solid waste (sludge) and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The design used was          a factorial randomized block design (RAK-F) with 2 factors were investigated, namely: Factors solid waste (sludge) (S) consists of 3 levels ie S0 = without giving, S1 = 2.5 kg / plot and            S2 = 5 kg / plot. Organic Liquid Fertilizer Factor Super ACI (A) divided into 3 levels ie A1 = 1 cc / l, A2 = 2 cc / l, A3 = 3 cc / l. The parameters measured were plant height (cm), number of branches (branches), leaf number (strands), number of fruits per plant (fruit), fruit weight per plant (g), and fruit length (cm), number of fruit per plot (fruit). Results showed that administration of solid waste (sludge) has significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of branches, number of leaves, number of fruit per plot, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and length of fruits per plant. With a dose of the best applications that S2 (5 kg / plot). Liquid organic fertilizer Super ACI significant effect on the parameters of the number of fruit per plot, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant and fruit length per plant. Best application that A3 (3 cc / l). combination of solid waste (sludge) with a liquid organic fertilizer Super ACI provides the interaction parameter the number of fruit per plot, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and length of fruits per plant. With the combination of the best application doses solid waste (sludge) 5 kg / plot with a liquid organic fertilizer concentrations Super ACI       3 cc / l. Key words:eggplant, Sludge and liquid organic fertilize

Abstract

This research is aiming to know the source of financing, and the financing scheme of  melon’s business in the Deli Serdang. The analysis methode used in this research is study case. The Data are taken at the end of 2011. The samples in this research are melon’s farmers around Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang. Primary and secondary data are used in this research. The farming of melon is widely done in Pantai Labu, but still unreach for banking aids. The source of farmer’s financing are from 1) farmer’s own capital, 2)loan from renter with hight rate financing, 3) debt from agriculture store, and 4) the financing from agent. The suitable banking financing scheme for melon’s business is current loan.Keywords : Melon business, financing

Abstract

This study aims to determine the awarding of Potassium Sulfate optimization and Manure on the growth and production of red peppers ( Capsicum annuum L ) . The design used was a factorial randomized block design ( RAK - F ) with the first factor is the provision of Potassium Sulfate ( K2SO4 ) ( K ) consisting of 0 grams / liter of water ( K0) , 0.5 g / liter of water ( K1 ) , 1 grams / liter of water ( K2 ) and 1.5 g / liter of water ( K3 ) , while the second factor is the provision of manure ( P ) consisting of 0 kg / plant ( P0) , 20 ton / ha = 6.7 kg / plot ( P1) and 25 tonnes / ha = 8.4 kg / plot ( P2 ) . Variables measured were plant height , stem diameter , number of fruit crops , planting fruit weight and dry weight . The results Fertilizer Potassium Sulfate ( K2SO4 ) has significant effect on the variables plant height , stem diameter , number of fruit crops , planting fruit weight and fruit dry weight . Manure does not provide any real effect on all the variables of observation , as well as a combination of the two treatments.Keywords : red chili , potassium sulphate and manure

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Extract Bamboo Shoots ( shoots ) and compost on growth of oil palm seedlings in the Main Nursery . Experiments conducted at the Faculty of Agricultural Land Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra , on January to May 2012 . The design used a randomized block design ( Randoimized Block Design ) factorial with three replications . Consists of two factors studied , bamboo shoots extract factor 0 cc / l of water plot ( B0 ) , 30 cc / l of water plot ( B1 ) , and 50 cc / l of water plot ( B2 ) , and compost factor 0.9 kg / plot ( K1 ) , 1.8 kg / plot ( K2 ) , and 3.6 kg / plot ( K3 ) . The parameters measured are higher palm oil plant seeds , leaf number , stem diameter , stem fresh weight , root fresh weight , dry weight of stem and root dry weight of oil palm seedlings . The study states bamboo shoots extract showed no apparent influence on all parameters were observed , whereas treatment with compost showed a significant effect on all parameters . For the interaction effect of treatment also showed no significant effect on all parameters.Keywords: rebung, compost, palm oil sawit, main nursery
