<![CDATA[The digitization of literature is one of the effects of the postmodern era that cannot be avoided. This literaturebased qualitative research investigates the development of postmodernism in literature, with a primary emphasis on its principles and implications in modern literature. This research aims to find out how postmodernism, especially in the digital era, has an impact on the recognition and sales of modern literary works. Using Marchella FP's novel "Tabi", which was released as a case study in October 2023, this study investigates the role of social media platforms, especially TikTok, in promoting and selling literature. This research emphasizes the important implications of digital postmodernism for future prospects by emphasizing paradigm shifts and enhanced inclusivity in the digital world. Additionally, this research examines the idea of viral marketing and how it relates to spreading literary works through social media platforms such as TikTok. <![CDATA[Adanya perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih dan berkembang pesat, memudahkan seorang individu dalam berkomunikasi di era digital ini.Individu memanfaatkan dengan baik teknologi di era digital ini. Kehidupan seseorang, baik secara pribadi, sosial, atau individu, berkisar pada komunikasi mereka, yang merupakan aspek penting di dalamnya. Arus komunikasi yang terdapat pada peran keterampilan berbahasa Indonesia merujuk ke penutur dan mitra tutur. Saat berkomunikasi seseorang akan menggunakan keterampilan berbahasanya sesuai tingkatan yang mereka punya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penelitian kualitatif, yang memungkinkan deskripsi temuan yang rinci dan analitis. Metode penelitian yang memanfaatkan sistem studi yang menciptakan data deskriptif berwujud kata-kata yang berupa pernyataan tertulis dan lisan atau ucapan. Komunikasi dan bahasa Indonesia merupakan hal yang sama karena bahasa Indonesia ialah sebuah penunjang untuk melakukan komunikasi yang digunakan seseorang untuk bersosialisasi ataupun berbaur dengan individu lain. Proses atau kegiatan memberi dan menerima informasi secara lisan, langsung, atau tertulis dengan cara yang jelas dan ringkas dikenal sebagai komunikasi, dan orang-orang berinteraksi dan berkomunikasi baik secara lisan maupun langsung dengan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia. Komunikasi ini adalah suatu bentuk atau suatu hal yang dapat menumbuhkan relasi yang sangat diperlukan untuk manusia itu sendiri dan dalam berkomunikasi sangat dibutuhkan kemampuan berkomunikasi yang baik dan efektif dari seorang individu, agar ketika komunikasi yang kita sampaikan kepada sang penerima dapat dipahami dengan baik dan tidak ada kesalahpahaman.]]>

<![CDATA[AbstarctThis paper aims to identify the Madurese dialects and identify difficult factors for the English study program at Universitas Trunojoyo Madura in understanding Madurese dialects. The communicative goals to some extent are unachievable as the speakers and listeners do not share lexical variation understanding even though they come from the same linguistic background. This applied a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Represented participants from each district (Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan, Sumenep) engaged in this paper. They filled out a designed questionnaire shared through Google Form. To analyze the chosen data, the proposing theoretical framework proposed by Wardhaugh, looking at the interwoven between the speaking linguistic data and existing theories. The result of this paper shows that there are lexicon variations of Madurese dialects including nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs and there are also difficult factors for English Study Program students at the University of Trunojoyo Madura in understanding the Madurese dialect, including the vocabulary factor, which referred to the number of lexical variations (special words) of the Madurese dialect and the pronunciation factor, which referred to the speed of intonation and accent. <![CDATA[Popular fiction is part of popular literature that is very like and read by the society. The desire of the public to consume literary works is very related to tastes and what is viral in society at that time. Every that moves the public in the consumption of society is certainly driven by a belief, one of which is the belief in the issues that exist in society. One of the issues that exist in society is racism. Strong racism arises because of differences according to ideology in the western view. This study examines the analysis of sustaining racism with a postmodern approach in the novel The Girl with Louding Voice by Abi Dare'. Explaining that women cannot live freely and are not given the opportunity to run and continue their education. This article used postmodern approach with seeing the phenomenon about society to literature. The result of this study is that society still has several points of view regarding racism so that many consume this literary work. <![CDATA[Hermeneutics is a theory that can help readers interpret and make sense of a text. The hermeneutic theory of Paul Ricoeur, among others, introduces the elements of sense and reference which can be recognized as devices of meaning. Sense is the meaning of the text that can be traced through the meaning of the relationship between the text itself. While reference is the relationship between the text and its references outside the text. The texts in Christopher Paolini's novel Eldest show the content of sense with poetic meaning. The reference shows the reality that could happen. The dialect of sense and reference can be interpreted as a dialect between the meaning of a poetic text and an event, for example in the form of a tragedy. The combination of the beauty of the poetic text with the factual events of the news text is indeed a distinctive character of the novel text based on Ricoeur's hermeneutic theory.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the context of speech and speech acts to avoid misunderstanding in understanding speech. The source of the research data is the Sundanese novel Wife-wife nu Dipihormat by Memen Durachman because Sundanese novels have many messages about life and are one of the efforts to preserve the Sundanese language. The purpose of this research is to find out the speech acts in the dialogue of Memen Durachman's novel Wife-Wife nu Dipihormat through Austin's theory. The method used is the descriptive analytical method using data collection techniques in the form of literature review and data analysis. The results of the study show that of the 385 dialogues in the novel, the forms of speech acts found in this novel are locations with a total of 202 utterances, illocutionary acts with a total of 193 utterances, and perlocutions with a total of 228 utterances. The results of this study can be used as an alternative in paguneman learning that is by KIKD, so that it can be an effort to preserve Sundanese.]]>

<![CDATA[In the patriarchy system, women have restriction in delivering thoughts and action, accessing education, and obtaining rights. However, they struggle hard to attain equality in those aspects in their life. Hence, the study aims to find out the restriction experienced by women character named Belle and how she fight against the restriction to obtain her freedom and independence as women. While the original "Beauty and the Beast" story has roots in classic fairy tales, modern adaptations, such as the one by Elizabeth Rudnick, transform it into a contemporary literary work. This book, applying the theory of Liberal Feminism, can be seen as a form of challenge or movement within the postmodern era. Using the theory of liberal feminism espoused by Rosemarie Tong (1980) those two issues will be analyzed through reading book entitle “Beauty and the Beast” by Elizabeth Rudnick’s (2017). The library use in this study is to help the writer to analyze the data regarding to the issues in the novel. ]]>

<![CDATA[In the teaching process, appropriate communication strategies are very important in teaching children because they significantly impact their learning effectiveness. Using communication strategies that align with children's understanding level and interests, educators can facilitate good comprehension, enhance information retention, encourage active engagement, strengthen social skills, and increase children's motivation and interest in learning. This research analyzes teachers' communication strategies in this video based on Bandura's theory: Attention, Retention, Reproduction, and Motivation. This qualitative research analyzes data obtained from video on YouTube titled How to teach Kids | from a Prague kindergarten, part 1 | English for Children." The research findings show that teacher successfully applies various effective communication strategies in teaching language to children. The teacher successfully aroused the children's attention by using engaging elements, such as bright colors, relevant pictures, enjoyable, energetic voices, and positive interaction between the teacher and the children.]]>

<![CDATA[This research adopted conversational analysis to investigate the turn-taking strategies, how the strategies were applied, and the dominant strategy. Jamie Miller’s interview with Zach Sang show entitled “Jamie Miller Talks Broken Memories, Here’s Your Perfect, Coming Out, Khloe Kardashian and The Voice” was chosen as the data source. It was published on May 12th, 2022 and generally talked about the singer’s fame whose single “Here’s Your Perfect” has racked millions streams. Observing the data source and typing the conversations were done to collect data. The collected data were further analyzed by using referential identity method and referential competence- in equalizing technique. All processes of this research were in accordance with descriptive qualitative research. The theory invented by Stenstrom (1994) was used to analyze data and transcription symbols theory of Jefferson (2004) was implemented to transcribe the conversations. The results exposed that 78 utterances referred to turn-taking strategies and 11 strategies were employed. The data involved eight data of hesitant start and uptakes, seven data of clean start and uptakes, one data of alerts and giving up, nine data of filled pause and/or verbal fillers, 13 data of lexical repetition, 12 data of prompting, and three data of appealing. From the total data, lexical repetition was found as the dominant strategy. The participants mostly repeated the same lexical items to manage the conversation flow and avoid speech gap.]]>
