Abstract

The influences of acidify and humic acid (HA) weight on Cu(II) speciation in humic acid-water system has been studied. The HA was extracted from peatsoil in Siantan, Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The Cu(II) solution was made from Cu(SO)4.s H2O crystal of E.Merck for analytical grade. The acidify effect test carried out with 50 mL of Cu(II) solution in 100 ppm concentration then varied their pH level at 4, 5 ,6, 7 and 8. To each solution added with 30 mg of HA, be interacted in 1 hour, and then settled in 24 hour to be equilibrium. The same procedure were done to prepare the solutions for determining the effect of HA weight on Cu(II) speciation. The weight of HA varied at 20, 40, 60, 80 and 120 mg with pH solution 5,0. The concentration of total Cu and hydrated Cu(II) were determined using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer and Ionic Selective Electrode (ISE), respectively. Based on measurement of total Cu and hydrated Cu known that if the initial pH of solution higher, the absorption of Cu to HA became higher too. The fraction that was not absorbed distributed as hydrated Cu and Cu-AH complex that their concentration was in equilibrium at pH value of 5,0. The result of pH measurement at the equilibrium, the value of Ksp Cu(OH)2 and calculation of OH- indicated that there were no deposition of Cu(OH)2 formed. The measurement also indicated that if the more weight of HA applied on the interaction, the absorption to Cu became higher. The fraction that was not adsorbed increasingly as Cu-AH complex.

Abstract

Mining activities have a high risk which one of them is the slope stability. Nature provides information about slope instability indication in various ways and methods. Observing indication of instability based on incidents that have occurred is an important study for improvement. One thing to do is viewing the correlation between groundwater position before and after the landslide that by knowing its behavior, the preventive measures against this potential can be reduced or eliminated. Groundwater monitoring installation is commonly done because this data is contributed to the slope stability analysis. Optimizing all existing data sources for various purposes are required to achieve effectiveness and job efficiency. The study was conducted by observing the behavior of groundwater level before the landslide occurred so that it can be deduced correlation between these two things. In this study, ground water level is observed at the closest point to the location of landslide that can reflect the real correlation. Groundwater level observation data were plotted into graphs and combined with related data such as rainfall intensity. Observational data groundwater levels and precipitation associated with the landslide incident can be obtained before the ground water level behavior occur landslide. Plotting generate a form of "horse saddle". Information obtained from this data is the slip surface is formed when the inlet pushed into this field so that the ground water level has decreased. As the slip surface stopped the water will keep filling until it formed a stable and when the groundwater level increasing it is an indication of slope instability will be occur. Based on this study the groundwater level will form a saddle horse pattern before the landslide. When discovering it then it should give extra attention and conduct a risk assessment.

Abstract

Providers Backup Power Supply for Household Electricity Load In automatic, very necessary as an emergency response efforts in the event of termination of electricity to consumers. So with a backup power supply that has been prepared, the electric lighting in the household is not disrupted. The effort is meant is conducted by making a piece of equipment such as power supply 1 Phase Inverter System Design for Load Capacity 1200 Watt, is a piece of equipment that can serve as a replacement power supply but can work efficiently and save energy. After designing and testing tools execute the inverter, it can be some of the results of the designation gauges recorded and performed calculations. The larger the installed load will produce a greater flow, this caused huge load requires a large current flow. At 50-250 cosQ load close to 1, while the 300-1200Watt load cosQ up and down, this happens when the 300-1200Watt load test, the load used in the form of incandescent bulbs. The voltage on the inverter device is sometimes not reached 220 volts when tested. This is due to the voltage source when the test does not reach the stable, and also due to the greater load at the time of testing with mixed loads. Long period of time of an inverter is able to work depends on the quality of the battery and how to use it.
