Abstract

The teacher faced problems in teaching about learning scenario containedactive learning, creativity, and pleasure. There where results from someworkshops for enhancing learning quality through learning media. However,the use of learning media did not effective in elementary level. The teacherteach in conventional way in teaching their students, the example in teachingstructure, the teacher used conventional board. Wheras, some media weremade and enhanced for learning success, such as using picture card. Throughthis media, active, creative and pleasure learning with Islamic valve will become true.Keyword: Picture card, Structure.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions and motivations of students in choosing astudy program at the Department of Language and Art. This is a descriptivequalitative study with a sample size of 50 students. The data were collected throughquestionnaires. The results showed that the students perceptions of the study programin the Department of Language and Arts included are considered good. The studentsperceptions of the quality of study programs, lecturer’ s knowledge, the curriculum ofthe study programs, and the graduate of the study program has been good. However,the students perceptions of infrastructure and tuition fees are still low. The student’ smotivation in choosing a study program at the Department of Language and Arts fit ineither category. Things that motivate them in choosing a study program at theDepartment of Language and Arts among others: the desire for developing theirinterests and talents, the aspirations to become a teacher, the desire for quicklygetting a job after graduation, the ability to compete with graduates of otheruniversities, the reliance of the knowledge learned can be the foundation of life in thefuture, Unila status as the State Universities, the certification of teachers, the lecturerswho teach have good quality, and the curriculum in the study program fit the workingworld..Keywords: perception, motivation, Department of Language and Art Unila

Abstract

This study aims to describing the lexical cohesion reiterasi in the Buku DongengNusantara 33 Provinsi and its implications for learning Indonesian at junior highschool. The data in this study is the text contained in the Buku Dongeng Nusantara 33Provinsi numbered 39 text. The result shows that the use lexical marker reiterasidivided into two, repetition and hyponymy. Reiterasi divided into three types, namely afull replay, replay another form, and repeat with the replacement / synonyms.Repetition in the form replicates another form is divided into replicates other formsthat have the same basic shape and replicates other forms that have the samereference. Repetition in the form of synonyms divided by shades of meaning, iesynonyms based on additional meaning, value sense (emotive), and the prevalence ofthe use of the lexeme.Keyword: lexical cohesion, reiterasi, folktale.

Abstract

In doing communication, polite behaviour is very influence in creating comfortableatmosphere. Polite behaviour can be in the form of verbal and nonverbal. Thisresearch described the positive and negative strategi that related to the unity of theform of direct speech at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu. This research wassosiopragmatic study with qualitative descriptive approach. The data analysistechnique used in his research was interactive model which was contain of datareduction, data serve, and conclution or verification. Based on the result of theresearch, the politeness strategy in the direct speech which was applied at STKIPMuhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung were using positive and negative strategy.Based on the analysis result, they were some factors that influenced the positivestrategy happen. They were as follows: kind of attention, the solidarity betweenperson, the feeling of being appreciated and giving appreciation, giving praise,avoiding incompatibality and creating jokes. Meanwhile, the negative strategy wereinfluenced by some factors. They were as follows: indirect speech, pesimistic attitude,reducing coercion, using passive voice, apology, and using plural form. The positiveand negative strategy that happened was the effort to create the politeness in doingcommunication.Key Note: Strategi Kesantunan, tuturan direktif, sosiopragmatik

Abstract

The difficulties in speech text writing were faced by the students. They were confused inwriting the text creatively. It was indicated from the students less vocabulary then madethe students less writing. Students’ vocabularies such as synonym, antonym, andlanguage style were improving students’ skill in speech text writing. Through thosevocabularies, the students could choose and use it, then got good quality in writing.This research was reviewing vocabularies implementation in speech text writing. Abstract

Makasae language which is called BMk is a language that identifies the three majorregencies of Republica Democratica de Timor-Leste RDTL. Nonetheless, the BMkspeakers generally are able to speak two or more local languages included threeforeign languages such as Indonesian, English, and Portuguese, therefore thepotential of extinction is quite large as the young generations on average preferspeaking foreign languages in their every day lives to speaking their own locallaguages. In essence, this study represents a real effort in seeing the phenomenon ofBMk from linguistic point of view. This study was included qualitative descriptivestudy, in which the basic clause construction BMk analyzed by two main categories,such as its intransitive and transitive clauses, in order to map the lingual unit that canfill the predicate or PRED slot. Based on the research, it was found that the basicconstruction of the clause BMk form Subject+Verb (SV) for the zero object clause, andSubject+Object+Verb (SOV) for the object-needed clause. The description of the BMkbasic clause structure was divided into three main parts, namelyintransitive,ekatransitive clause, and ditransitive clause. This study is also expected toinspire some reseachers who are interested in BMk either micro or macro.Keywords: Basic Clause,Pivot Makasae Language, RDTL

Abstract

Mother tongue is the first language from childern. The mother tongue of State JuniorHigh School Number I Banyumas student dominate with local language such asJavanese of habitual society in communication there. The Childern get difficulties inlanguage learning especially descriptive. The objective of this research knows ofmother toungue used in descriptive text made by Junior High School number IBanyumas. This research is using analysis descriptive that mother tongue as theobject of the research. The data collecting technique is using test and interview. Theresearcher gives a picture to the students then describes the picture. Furthemore, theresearcher is interviewing the students about their identity. The result showed that themost of the students still using their mother tongue, Javanese then their nationallanguage, bahasa Indonesia.Key Words:Mother Tongue, Descriptive Text.
