Abstract

HARRIS Hotel Batam Center is a 4 star hotel located right in Batam City Center which can be accessed just by walking to Mega Mall and International Ferry Terminal Batam Center, precisely located at Jl. Engku Putri, Tlk. Tering, District. Batam City, Batam City. This research aims to determine the procedure technique for cleaning the public toilet area at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center and to find out the obstacles in implementing the procedure technique for cleaning the public toilet area at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation studies, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The results of this research are that providing bathrooms that are clean, healthy and free from disease and annoying insects is one of the main tasks of the housekeeping floor section, so that guests feel at home staying at the hotel. The implementation of procedures for cleaning and preparing bathrooms at Harris Hotel Batam is very good, this is proven by its implementation which is carried out consistently by area public officer, supervisors and housekeeping HOD. Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the culinary tourism promotion of Lopek bugi typical of Lake Bingkuang and the obstacles faced in carrying out sales promotions of Lopek bugi typical of Lake Bingkuang. This research was motivated by promotional activities by Bu Elis' Lopek Bugi Business to promote Lopek Bugi, which is typical of Lake Bingkuang. The research method used is qualitative, namely examining the promotions carried out by research subjects in promoting Lopek Bugi typical of Lake Bingkuang. In this research, the data collection techniques were interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results show that Lopek Bugi Bu Elis' business uses a promotional mix to promote its business. Promotion through advertising using print media, internet media, and social media. Promotion through sales promotions by providing discounts and bonuses to consumers. Promotion through personal selling by providing detailed information about the products offered. Promotion through public relations by participating in bazaar activities. Promotion through direct marketing is by word of mouth and communicating directly with consumers via WhatsApp and telephone. In carrying out promotions, Lopek Bugi Bu Elis' business also faces obstacles in the form of a lack of funds and a lack of knowledge about promotions. Abstract

The Republic of Indonesia, which consists of islands and its abundance of natural wealth, is an attraction for foreign citizens seeking asylum and choosing to settle in one of the regions of Indonesia. The large number of foreigners who come to Indonesia for vacation and there are also those who stay but do not have an official permit to stay in Indonesia, the increasing number of immigrants entering the Pekanbaru City area has resulted in the capacity of one of the immigration shelters, namely the Satria shelter, being full. So, institutional coordination is needed regarding the excess capacity of Pekanbaru City immigration shelters in 2020. This research uses a qualitative research method with descriptive data analysis. In collecting data, researchers used interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of this research can be seen that coordination between Pekanbaru City National Unity and Politics and the Immigration Detention Center is related to the excess capacity of the Pekanbaru City immigration detention center in 2020 due to a lack of coordination between the two institutions which can hamper the work of both parties, the weak quality of personnel capabilities, and lack of depth regarding the applicable legal basis. Abstract

This research analyzes Indonesia's efforts to carry out educational diplomacy in the Southern Thailand region after the Covid-19 pandemic within the scope of 2022 until 2023. Covid-19 has caused delays in several cooperation programs carried out by the Indonesian Government through the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia (KRI) in Songkhla as Indonesian representative. Educational cooperation programs carried out by Indonesia and Southern Thailand, such as scholarships, student exchanges, and others, experienced setbacks during the pandemic. In 2022, KRI Songkhla will again make efforts to improve educational cooperation programs through several programs such as reopening scholarships, teaching programs, outreach and activities that support the re-creation of good cooperation. This research uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through literature studies sourced from several annual reports, journals, articles and websites. This research use the diplomacyn theory. The results of this research show the effects of the improvement efforts made by KRI Songkhla in educational cooperation in the Southern Thailand region, such as the reopening of the Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship which welcomed back 8 (eight) Southern Thai students and the re-introduction of face-to-face teaching programs. Abstract

In this study, there are several problematic phenomena that were raised in 2022 in the responsiveness of the Ministry of Religion in the service of managing the promotion of functional teachers in Kuantan Singingi Regency, namely, first, a decrease in the number of functional teacher promotions in the Ministry of Religion of Kuantan Singingi in 2022 from the previous year, there were complaints from teachers regarding the service of managing functional promotions at the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Kuantan Singingi, and there were 36 teachers who made complaints on the questionnaire on the performance of teacher promotion services at the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Kfuantan Singingi. From the above phenomena, the purpose of this study is to determine the responsiveness of the Ministry of Religion in the service of managing the promotion of functional teachers in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2022. This research is descriptive research with a Pqualitative approach. The types of data are primary data and secondary data, primary data is obtained directly from informants. Meanwhile, secondary data is data that supports or strengthens primary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are complaints from teachers who have not been promoted, namely 36 complaints were obtained from the 2022 teacher promotion questionnaire. These complaints were facilitated in the form of a questionnaire, although still through Google Form which was distributed through the Whatsapp group, but the Kuansing Ministry of Religion should prioritize technological innovation in the form of a complaint website to facilitate data obtained in real time. The Kuansing Ministry of Religion has not fully realized efforts to reduce existing complaints, there is already an SOP in the complaint handling flow, but no points were found for handling complaints by the Kuansing Ministry of Religion, so there has been no transparency of solutions and responses that have been present for these complaints. Abstract

The 2024 general election is a simultaneous general election to elect the President & Vice President, Members of the DPR, DPD, Provincial DPRD and Regency/City DRPD. Since 2019-now, the participation of the younger generation as voters and even participants has increased. Young legislative candidates, abbreviated as young legislative candidates, are entering the election to bring a new color to the world of politics, where elections are usually attended by candidates who have been involved in politics for a long time. It is proven that currently many young legislative candidates are taking part in the elections. The aim of this research is to find out what the political strategy of young legislative candidates is in the 2024 Pekanbaru City DPRD general election. As well as finding out what factors influence the political strategy of young legislative candidates in the 2024 Pekanbaru City DPRD general election. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, the research location is in the environment of young legislative candidates. This research uses two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques were obtained through interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and finally drawing conclusions. The findings obtained in this research are the that succes of offensive and defensive strangies is greatly influenced by the ability to integrate social, political, economic capital as well as the use of social media and techonology, affective communication. Abstract

Transnational crimes are becoming an increasingly serious threat in the era of globalization, significantly impacting the security and well-being of Indonesian citizens (WNI) both domestically and abroad. Crimes such as human trafficking, drug smuggling, and online fraud undermine social stability and violate human rights. The Indonesian government has taken preventive and repressive measures through national regulations, ratification of international conventions, and strengthening the diplomatic role of the Indonesian Embassies (KBRI) and Consulates General (KJRI). However, challenges such as limited resources and the continuously evolving modus operandi of these crimes reveal existing gaps in the protection of WNI. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, utilizing primary data from observations and interviews, as well as secondary data from official documents. A case study of human trafficking victims is selected to provide an in-depth understanding of this phenomenon. Data analysis is conducted using thematic analysis techniques, identifying key patterns in the role of KBRI in the repatriation efforts of human trafficking victims. The research also examines Indonesia's diplomatic involvement in leveraging international legal mechanisms to protect its citizens The results indicate that despite the presence of a robust legal framework and international cooperation, the implementation of protection measures still requires optimization. KBRI plays a significant role in providing legal advocacy, repatriation, and raising awareness among WNI. However, gaps in the deportation and rehabilitation processes of human trafficking victims remain major challenges. Therefore, there is a need to strengthen cross-border cooperation, enhance the capacity of diplomatic representatives, and provide continuous education to improve the protection of WNI from the threats of transnational crimes. Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the service quality of the restaurant at Hotel Aston Sentul Lake Resort & Conference Center, focusing on five main dimensions: Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The method used was descriptive quantitative, with data collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. A total of 100 respondents, who were restaurant guests, participated in this research. The results showed that the overall level of customer satisfaction was in the satisfied category, with a total score of 4462 from the five variables analyzed. The Empathy dimension scored the highest, indicating that guests greatly appreciated the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. However, the Tangible variable, particularly regarding employee neatness, received the lowest score and requires improvement. Quick responses in addressing complaints and guests' needs were deemed adequate, but some improvements are still needed to handle complaints more effectively. In conclusion, while the overall service quality was satisfactory, there are some areas that need enhancement, especially in terms of employee neatness and handling guest complaints. The implementation of these suggestions is expected to improve the service quality at the restaurant of Hotel Aston Sentul Lake Resort & Conference Center.
