Abstract

The Inventory Routing Problem (IRP) has become a problem that thoroughly studied recently. One of the IRP models that have been developed was an IRP multi-tour, which described a single distribution center r with a set of salespoints. The salespoints is served by a limited number of vehicles with finite load capacities. Vehicle will replenish the salespoints by making a multi-tour route. Each multi-tour consists of a set of sub-tour involving salespoints to be replenished. The multi-tour solution has increase the complexity of the model compared to the normal tour IRP model. Therefore a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm has been proposed for solving a sequential problem in allocating salespoints to the route. Some heuristic methods also been developed for creating the multi-tour. The validity of the algorithm, along with comparison with other existing algorithm, has been provided to validate the proposed PSO algorithm. Result obtained has shown that the PSO algorithm having a promising performance in solving the problem.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company which is engaged in the field of frozen shrimp exporters that produce shrimp sushi, shrimp tempura, and shrimp peeled. The problem that occurs is often failure to achieve the production target in the process of shrimp sorting. The factors that cause the failure of production target’s achieving are production target which is too high and the workers who are slow in the process of sorting. Based on these problems, in this research is undertaken the improvement of production target and the improvement of the movements of the left hand and right hand of workers in doing the sorting. The research concludes that the production target need to be lowered and is undertaken the improvement of the left hand and right hand of workers so that the production target will be achieved and the efficiency reaches 8,81%.

Abstract

PT X is one of the biggest manufacturer companies in Indonesia. Achieving one of its mission—continuous improvement, PT X keeps on making the new innovations and solution breakthroughs for its business process. At this opportunity, the improvement will focus on the procurement and purchasing departments, responsible for the company’s daily transactions. The first stage in Value Stream Mapping is Current State Mapping, providing the activities of the current condition and their lead time. Next step is analysis, where all the wastes are identified and solutions are developed. Lastly, Future State Mapping is the continuation of the previous stage—generating the new process involving the new lead time.As the Value Stream Mapping is developed, it is found 3 waste categories, i.e. over processing, waiting, and unnecessary movement. Solutions are given to reduce those wastes and will reflect in the future state mapping. It is believed that the future mapping will shorten process’ lead time of the pre-purchase requisition by 33.25% and after purchase requisition by 28.17% for FSS and 23.53% for M&S category.

Abstract

PT “X” is one of the hand-rolled manufacturers cigarettes which using manual process to produce the cigarettes. There were no standardization for verify the production tools. So that every operators could verify those tools in different manners and in fact it caused problems in the production floor. Therefore, a standardization procedures, which is align with the company specification, is an obligatory. As the result of this work, we designed 21 modules for all brands manufactured by PT “X”. Moreover, the study successfully establishes standard procedure, verification form, and verification report which can help maintenance operator to perform production tools verification in every locations.

Abstract

The purposes of this thesis are designing a planned maintenance and man power planning in the maintenance department of PT X Previously, the PT X used breakdown and corrective maintenance. The maintenance procedures will be revised into corrective maintenance and when continuous production system is executed, corrective & preventive maintenance will be applied. For defining those procedures, first we identified the machines’ failure and redesigned the production system. Additionally, we propose four level of man power planning based on their skill and company management want it divide into four level.

Abstract

PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Balaraja (PT CPI Balaraja) is one of feed processing companies. PT CPI Balaraja had installed new SAP system, Production Online, and replaced its manual machines into automatics machines. Therefore, the old standard operating procedures are no longer suitable with the current situation. Updating those procedures are a must and this work became purpose of this thesis, particularly in Maintenance Department and Warehouse & PPIC Department. The updating procedures includes SOP (Standard Operational Procedures), WI (Work Instructions), and Forms. In overall, there are 7 SOP, 41 WI, and 12 Forms revision in Maintenance Department. Additionally, thera are 5 SOP, 33 WI, and 33 Forms revision in Warehouse & PPIC Department.

Abstract

PT X is one of the companies in Surabaya which producing coconut oil and palm oil. This study was conducted to generate a design of performance measurement in PT X, based on the balanced scorecard’s four perspectives. The design focused on the Department of Plant 1 and Plant 2, which are the core department in the production section. Balanced scorecard covers the measurement of strategic design, program matrix design and Key Performance Indicators for each level positions. The measurement of strategic design is divided into three parts, namely the srategic measurement for PT X in general, Department of Plant 1 and Department of Plant 2. Program matrix consists on current programs and also suggestions on new programs to achieve the company’s target. The Key Performance Indicator covers four levels of the existing positions in each Department of Plant 1 and Department of Plant 2, which are Section Head, Deputy Section Head, Supervisor and Operator.

Abstract

This research is a case study conducted at PT. Bondi Syad Mulia, which is a galvanishing services company. Production planning at PT. Bondi Syad Mulia combined with production department, so that the work does not focus and cause some problems in production planning. The proposed planning system is set up the PPIC department, so that production planning does not interfere with affairs that must be done by the production department. Another issue that arises is the production delays because there is do not have a good system of production scheduling. Determine the right scheduling for a company is very important, but not easy, especially for a service company that manufactures a wide range of products. This thesis aims to get the system scheduling to minimize makespan, thus increasing the amount of output produced. The method used to achieve these criteria is Algorithm Campbell, Dudek, and Smith (CDS) and Shortest Processing Time method (SPT). CDS scheduling algorithm results provide several alternative job sequences that generate makespan value is almost the same, but there is a job sequence that produces the smallest makespan value compared to other alternative job sequences.

Abstract

PT. X is a manufacturing company with flexible film packaging products. The company’s SAP system application was about to change intonthe new SAP system. The Evaluation of the SAP’s new post-implementation can be done in 2 ways. The first way is to describe the new SAP system’s adventages, compared to the old SAP system. The oter way is to do an evaluation of the potential problems and providing solutions to the problems. The results of the evaluation stated that there are 2 new SAP adventages, compared to the old SAP. The first adventage is thatvthe new SAP system can separate the plastic waste generated by the type of waste. The other adventage is that the system of naming batches on the new SAP was more effective. The results of subsequent evaluation stating that there are 2 new SAP post implementation problems. The first problem is an error in the SO making process. The solutions that can be given is to seek approval from the marketing for the SO to be processed, as well as changing the SO data input system. The other problem is the staff that aren’t executed the system of export orders. The solution that given is make the new approval system for the eksport layout images.

Abstract

The handling qualities of  Malang Chili throughout its supply chain system is still considered low, as there are lots of faults took place during the process that led to the declining quality of the chilies. It is recommended to plan a handling procedure of post-harvested chilies in order to enhance a better quality. This study will try to design a quality plan to address those issues, using methods such as pareto diagram and cause-and-effect diagram. Observations result concluded that problems occurred are due to various factors, namely human error, method and environment. On farmers supply chain have the biggset disability obtained is wilting. Meanwhile, wholesalers supply chain have the biggest disability namely dented. Quality plan arranged use to guide early improvement in the conduct of each post-harvest process chili in Malang to overcome the factors that cause chili damaged such as drying, tranportation and selling.
