Abstract

Gold jewelry stores have to deal with various problems involving inventory control and inventory analytics in their day-to-day operations. Many Indonesian gold retailers tackle these problems by using a paperbased recording method. This method is not time efficient and adds more workload into the inventory management processes, such as stocktaking and popular item category classification. Stocktaking gets more difficult as more items are added to the inventory. These added workload and time increase the risk for items to go missing without being immediately documented. This paper proposes an Internet of Things solution that makes inventory stocktake more streamlined by introducing an RFID system with a web application that allows an operator to identify items during a stocktake instantly. In addition, store managers can also find trends in item categories using the Boyer-Moore majority vote algorithm. Our evaluation show that this system can effectively record data items in one scan with an average accuracy of 93.16% for a tray of 5 up to 25 items.

Abstract

The dynamics of couples' relationships significantly impact a family's unity and harmony. This hinges on how spouses interact and communicate, influenced by patriarchal or matrilineal views they uphold. Communication dynamics in these relationships direct family goals. This study delves into how Javanese couples nurture their bonds. Employing qualitative methods, it includes in-depth interviews and group discussions with seven couples, selected based on education, socio-economic status, marriage duration, careers, religious values, and motives. Findings show Javanese couples favor dialogue over conflict, opting for a collaborative and compromising approach. They uphold mutual trust and flexibility in financial matters ("sing longgar endi"). Family discussions during tension aim to preserve collective values. Domestic work communication highlights flexibility in task distribution. The research underscores Javanese couples' connection to unique ethics, social norms, philosophies, gender perspectives, structures, language, traditions, myths, and religion.

This generation has minimum communication skills in the workplace, such as, became an example of a lack of soft skills in the workplace. This research aims to investigate the lack of communication and ability phenomenon in the Z generation when entering the labor market. This investigation uses a qualitative approach that involves in-depth interviews. This research has involved 18 college graduates as research subjects. The result of this study has found that the majority of alumni suffered from communication barriers, which means they felt less capable of communicating. They feel inferior and have a low self-image due to a lack of capacity and competence as well as a lack of experience, therefore, it became such a big task to prepare themselves when entering the workforce, that hesitate to start a conversation for fear of making mistake, wrongs, and being impressed with dumbness. The obstacle lies in their self-limitation to change the situations and environments from being limited to technology and remote interaction to having to start over in situations and social environments. Other aspects that determine self-confidence and self-image have a major impact on the aspect of communication skills

Abstract

Stunting is a severe problem that significantly impacts future generations' growth and the quality of Human Resources (HR). In addition to the under-five age factor, stunting is also influenced by several interrelated factors. This research aims to apply the Certainty Factor algorithm in an expert system to detect stunting using the Case-Based Reasoning Method. The application of the CF algorithm by utilizing expert judgment has successfully strengthened the CBR method steps by calculating the similarity level. The results of the User Acceptance Test by 25 respondents showed an approval rate of 85%. If interpreted using the user approval range, these results are 81% - 100%, with a very high level of agreement. Based on calculating risky and safe stunting example cases, the CBR Method shows a similarity rate of 29.26% and 70.73%, respectively. Furthermore, safe stunting cases were analyzed using the CF algorithm with a confidence ratio of 91%.

Abstract

Nowadays, local languages gain less interest from the younger generation. This also happened to the Sahu Tala'i language which is a regional language originating from a tribe in the Sahu sub-district, West Halmahera district. Hence, users of this language are becoming fewer and will be threatened with extinction if not being consistently used. To preserve the language, this study built an Android-based bilingual, Sahu Tala'i, and Indonesian dictionary application, to provide access to the language for people in the Sahu sub-district and those who are interested in learning the language. This study uses the Aho-Corasick algorithm to accelerate word search by matching the strings used to determine the position of certain strings in a larger collection of strings. The test results showed that the implementation of the Aho-Corasick algorithm was successfully done to do a word search in the dictionary. Additionally, an audio feature to pronounce the word in the Sahu Tala'i accent/dialect and examples of the use of these words in sentences are provided in this bilingual dictionary.

Abstract

This literature review discusses efforts to enhance cognitive behavioral therapy in addressing social phobia, such as social anxiety disorder, by utilizing serious games and virtual reality exposure therapy. In the worldwide context of the COVID-19 outbreak, conventional cognitive behavioral therapy faces significant challenges, prompting practitioners and researchers to seek innovative e solutions. During the conducted literature review, several research articles were identified that explore the utilization of virtual reality exposure therapy and serious games within the stages of cognitive behavioral therapy. Using the PICOC method and software such as Publish or Perish, Zotero, and VOSViewer, 30 journal articles have been obtained, indicating that virtual reality exposure therapy and serious games can enhance the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy. However, there are clear signs suggesting that integrating virtual reality (VR) technology and serious games on smartphones into the cognitive behavioral therapy process could offer a promising avenue for new research. This approach may help address the challenges brought about by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on people with social anxiety disorder, particularly in Indonesia. Although further research and therapy adaptation according to the cultural context in Indonesia are needed, this development offers new research opportunities as an alternative therapeutic approach with significant advancements in addressing social anxiety disorder.

Abstract

The public debate of the Presidential Candidates in the 2024 Election is a campaign agenda from the KPU to get public attention. The debate is broadcast live streaming on TVRI's YouTube channel so that it can give voters an idea to determine their preferences and allow the public to participate directly. Participation in the comments section can be studied as a communication network and is also fundamental in developing democracy.. The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the communication network of netizens in the public debate of the 2024 Election Candidates on social media. This research method is Social Media Analysis. The results show that the complete communication network formed had a relatively small diameter, low inter-participant bonding and centralization, the absence of two-way communication, the presence of isolated individuals, and participant accounts that could not be ascertained to be genuine/fake. However, the modularity is quite high, which indicates that clusters are separated by different communities. The communication network in the presidential debate is generally characterized by the community supporting candidate pair number 3 which occupies cluster 1, while candidate pair number 1 supporters are the prominent community in the Vice President debate. Both of these communication networks contain a lot of derogatory comments, bullying, and also hate speech against opponents. Communication networks found in such characteristics tend to be fragile and distortive to be understood as forms of political education, public space, or constructive democratic development.
