Abstract

This article converses TMS320C3x DSP Starter Kit (DSK) board utilization as Butterworthinfinite impulse response (IIR) digital filter. Specification parameters of the filter can bechanged as long as they do not exceed performance limits of the DSK board. The resulted Butterworth filter performance is compared to the theoretical one obtainedusing Matlab signal processing toolbox. Test result shows that performance of theimplemented filter is similar with its theoretical model. Keywords: Butterworth, TMS320C3x DSK, infinite impulse response, digital filter

Abstract

The best resulted of feedback control system design by using state variable feedback. But notall of the state variables feedbacks are available. The solution of this problem is useestimator. Through input and output measurements, then drive to estimator so can requiredoutput estimator near state variable. This paper presents the estimator design through artificial control model. So that todetermined the gain estimator and simulated using by software MALAB version 6.5. Theexperiment to carry out by three replicated of simulations with difference estimator gain. The good design will be achieved if estimator gain to caused that transient time estimatormore fast then transient time plant. Keywords: estimator, state variable, state variable feedback1. Abstract

In a closed queueing network model it will use mean value analysis to determine the networkthroughput for different value of p, to find the value of p that gives maximum networkthroughput and to indicate the network bottleneck. For certain chosen values of parametersinvolved in this model, it found that the maximum network throughput is 288.1 for p=0.67.The network bottleneck is the fast server. For p>0.67 the fast server is also the networkbottleneck, but when p<0.67, the network bottleneck is the slow server. Keywords: throughput, server, job

Abstract

A combination of an antenna array and an adaptive processor can perform a radiationpattern in the direction of arriving signal and at the same time reject any interfering signalor noise from other directions. With the variable weights on every element, signal processorcan easily adjust the weight by a simple adaptive technique based on the least-mean-squares(LMS) algorithm. During the adaptive process an incoming signal simulates a receivedsignal from a desired look direction, this allow the array system to learn so its directivitypattern has a main lobe in the previously specified look direction. At the same time, thearray processing system reject any interfering noise and signals, whose directions ofpropagation are different from the desired look direction, by forming nulls in the antennapattern. The technique described are simulated by Matlab. Substantial reductions in noiseand any other signals are demonstrated. The results are the arrays can be used over a widerange of frequencies and the more elements of the array the used more acurate the pattern. Keywords: simulation, random real number, forecasting, mean squares, scenario

Abstract

This paper summarizes the main results of a study aimed at determining the maximumlightning overvoltages in branchless underground feeder protected by metal-oxide arresters. The study has two parts. Initially, it is performed assuming an ideal behavior of allcomponents: the goal is to gain insight into the physical phenomenon. This will be useful tounderstand the main results obtained in the second part, where an advanced model is usedfor representing arresters. Keywords: Lightning, Surge Arresters, Underground Cables

Abstract

The design of feedback control system still using pole placement until now. Therefore theinformation of system parameters was required. One of the way to obtained information ofsystem parameters by system parameter estimator. This estimation process is required thecolection of input-output data. Input-output data can obtained from natural system(unspecify generated). This paper present estimator design using random input (not stepfunction). Estimation method using “Least Square”. The resulted of simulator design wassimulated. From this simulation of parameter estimator is good result indicated. Keywords: feedback, control system, estimator, Least Square.
