Abstract

The total population off forminifera found in Banyuwangi Bay is 53 spesies. It consists of 3 types : 64,4% hyaline type, 22,6% porcelaine type, and 13,2% agglotine type. The density ranges between 17000 - 38000 individu per 50 cm3 sediment. Based on Fisher diversity index this area is divided into three regions. Species that are predominantly found in Banyuwangi Bay are Ammonia tepida, Bolivina striatula, Haynesina germanica, Elphidium advenum, Quinqueloculina seminula, Reusella aculeata, Pararotalia sp and Miliammina spp. The results of the factorial analysis test based on station and its species show that there are three zonations in the Banyuwangi Bay. The first zone is influenced by the Java Sea, the second zone is influenced by shrimp pond wastes, and the third zone by the mangrove.

Abstract

The computation of electromagnetic response of a 3-D model which represents subsurface electric conductivity distribution is done by resolving the Maxwells equations using the integral equation method. In order to simplify the problem, it is assumed that the 3-D inhomogeneity is confined in a thin layer embedded in a horizontally stratified (1-D) medium. The algorithm is applied to compute the response of two simple models containing either resistive and conductive inhomogeneity. The apparent resistivity, phase and magnetic transfer function give general features of the models.

Abstract

The straw in a agricultural wastes which is accumulated in a large quantity but still not much utilized, a part of it was burned and the other is used in a small part as an animals feed. At present, in Indonesia textile industries are so developed such that dyestuff and other colouring substances were very much used in the process especially in the dying process. Part of them was discarded as a waste  and becomes a pollutant, when it is discharged to the river in the environment. The straw have been investigated in a way that it can adsorb the dyestuff. Straw was first heated in 2% sodium hydroxide solution prior to usage followed by washing with water to neutral. The optimum adsorption was then determined. In the 0,1 M hydrochloric acid condition 1 gram of the straw adsorbed 9,8 mg of BR Red HE 7B dyes.

Abstract

We introduce two mathematical propositions which will be developed for constructing a method for qualitative variables selection based on RV coefficient in the frame of Multiple Correspondence Analysis. Based on those propositions, variables selection will be transformed to the selection of set of Escoufier’s operators where its average maximizes the RV coefficient. The result is very promising. We will compare it to Escoufier’s method1).

Abstract

The new main notion studied here is the notion of a strong onto homomorphic relation R  between structures A and B denoted by A  B. We show that this notion generalizes many fundamental notions of model theory such as substructure and elementary substructure to the situation where an equality symbol is not assumed to be present in the first order language L. We generalize many results of model theory which usually assume that L has an equality symbol to this situation
