Abstract

The aim of this study is to analize differences of early detection upper respiratory infection by using MTBS standard and MTBS flashcard at kota Semarang Public Health. Research design used comparison study with cross sectional design. 16 nurses/midwiferies ware taken for sample. Instruments used MTBS standard and MTBS flashcard. Quesionair was used for identify the level of knowledge about upper respiratory infection and MTBS that have already validited by expert. The result of the study shows that the level of knowledge about upper respiratory infection and MTBS are at category good (100% and 94%, respectively). Based on the content, there were no different eatherMTBS flashcard or MTBS standard (88%). There were found differences in the attractive designs, 14 respondents (88%) were more interest in MTBS flashcard than MTBS standard. MTBS flashcard (94%) was more efective for early detection upper respiratory infection than MTBS standarad (44%). The time was used for detect upper respiratory infection was different. The mean of time used for MTBS flashcard was 4 minutes (SD=1.2) and MTBS standard was 7 minutes (SD=3.1).

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the effect on the number of larvae modified ovitrap trapped. This research was quasy experiment. The subjects were 80 homes with attached 200 ovitrap consisting of 100 pieces ovitrap modified: hay infusion 10% and 100 pieces of modified ovitrap: waterwells at four RT in the Village Tembalang and Bulusan. The result showed that the rate of HI, CI, BI and ABJ on modified ovitrap: hay infusion 10% higher than the modified ovitrap: water wells. The results found significant differences between the modified ovitrap with hay soaking water modifiedovitrap: water wells to the number of larvae (p = 0.001). It is recommended that communities should play an active role in eradicating the mosquito Aedes aegypti with installation ovitrap modified to reduce Aedes aegypti mosquito populations by breaking the cycle of life.

Abstract

The method used is an experiment in the laboratory with research design post test only design. The research was done by placing the unit into the fish samples in each experiment container, and fish fed with mosquito larvae A.aegypti continuously for up to 24 hours. The ability of fish to eat mosquito larvae were recorded and calcuteds the power of fish predation. The results showed that Beta splendens ability to prey on the larvae of Aedes aegypti is 278 larvae/24 hours, Carassius auratus is 201 larvae/24 hours, Poecelia reticulatta is 112 larvae/24 hours, Osteochilus vittatus is 78 larvae/24 hours and Trichogaster trichopterus is 188 larvae/24 hours. Most fish prey on the larvae of Aedes aegypti is Beta splendens that is an average of 278 larvae/24 hours, while the little fish is Osteochilus vittatus that is an average of as much as 78 larvae/24 hours.

Abstract

The aim of this studyis to determine thedose of been soursop extract against larvae of Aedes sp killing activity (larvacida) that derived from dengue endemic are asin Mataram with bioas say testingin the laboratory. The research methodused wascompletely randomized experimental design. The samples used wereinstar III oflarvaeAedesspderived from eggsof Aedes sp mosquitoes that were collectedin the homes of residentsin endemic areas dengue feverin the city of Mataram. Results of bioas say testin the laboratory was obtained D56 and LD90 are 0.14 ppm and 0.20 ppm respectively. So that, the been of soursop extract is effective tokill the larvaeof Aedes sp.

Abstract

A quasy-experimental research with one group without control group design was applied to 40 samples who planned to be operated by a spinal anesthesia using the HRS-A (Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety). Data of the research was analyzed by using Wilcoxon rank signed. Research results showed that 40% samples experienced severe anxiety level before receiving aromatherapy, and 42.5% samples experienced moderate anxiety level after intervention. Statistical analysis showed that there was a significant effect of aromatherapy on the client’s anxiety level prior to spinal anesthesia operative procedure (p = 0.00). It is recommended to give lavender to clients before getting an operative procedure as a part of a standard operating procedure.

Abstract

The research aims to identify the influence of therapeutic communication on pain intensity in stage I of birth within the area of Candimulyo Public Health Center. This was experimental study by using quasi-experimental design with control. Research instrument was a checklist of pain scale from 0-10. There were 62 repondents divided into 2 groups, 31 respondents for control group and 31 for case group. Wilcoxon test was conducted as analysis method. Before therepeutic communication was given, majority respondent experienced moderate pain (58%), afterwards they experienced mild pain 58%). In control group, moderate pain was experienced by 61.3% respondents and by the end of stage I the pain became severe (45.2%). Therapeutic communication had an impact on pain intensity in stage I of birth as proven by significant value of 0.0001.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determain the value of slice thickness and reconstruction interval in which are able to produce an optimal image.Type of research is an experimental research with observational approach. Data retrieval is done by scanning with Scan 64 Slice MSCT in the wrist joint. Variations combination of slice thickness and interval Reconstruction by 9 (nine) times the variation of slice thickness between 0,5 mm, 1,0 mm, 1,5 mm and Reconstruction interval between 0,5, 1,0, 1,5.The results showed that to obtain optimal visualization of soft tissue and bone on MSCT scan examination Wrist Joint variation of slice thickness 0,5 mm and 1.5 Reconstruction interval can be selected. these variations produce optimal image quality with lower noise,

Abstract

The objective of the study is to evaluate the level of anxiety and early mobilization using the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT): Tapping on patients post partum post secsio Caesaria before and after intervention period both control and experimental group. Design Quasi-experimental two group design was applied in the study. Forty two mothers with primipara post secsio Caesaria were recruited. Data analysis in the study included correlation, paird t-test, and independent t-test. The findings of the study show that the levels of anxiety and early mobilization in mothers with post secsio Caesaria primipara were significantly different between control and experimental group as well as before and after intervention in experimental group p less than 0.001). Tappingcan be used toreduce theanxietyand and increasedearly mobilizationin Post Secsio Caesaria.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were obtained from five Clinical Practice Hospitals with Focused Group Discussion. Data were analyzed with descriptif Method. The result shows that the radiographers tend to use higher Expossion Factor and Wider Collimation Field. because the Vendor and Aplicant has informed that CR operation need higher energy and the appearance of noise when the image being manipulated in CR will be lower if high mAs and kV are used. Another affecting factor is prefer images with high density. Radiographers tend to use wider Collimation Field to prevent image cut-off, resize-able image in CR, and availability of widest Imaging Plate size (35x43). Based on that results, optimal exposure factor and precise collimation field should be used in CR in order to minimize the patient dose.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of therapy stop thinking negatively against drug addiction in Rehabilitation Orphanage Rumah Damai Gunung Pati Semarang. This research is quasy experiment with pretest - posttes without the control group design. Thirty respondents were taken to the reseach sujects. Stop thinking negative therapy before and after thebehavior of drug addiction there are differences (t = 0.00), so it can be stated that the therapy stop thinking negatively influence behavior ependence. This study can be resumed with another therapeutic model, in order to improve government programs, communities and families to reduce drug dependency problems.
