Abstract

Splinter movement is a phenomenon that can be found throughout the ages. More recently, the phenomenon of the emergence of splinter movement or cult was widespread in the country and has caused unrest in society. The presence of splinter movement gave birth also had violence committed by a group of people calling themselves as defenders of Islam. This raises a big question, actually what has happened with the diversity of Indonesian society, so that they form a new flow that is clearly contrary to the teachings of Islam that believes in the ground water. These streams are known in this country called a cult or breakaway flow.

Abstract

There are two religious tendencies the fanatic and intolerant. The Prophet was aware of two trends, so when the Prophet was appointed as leader by the people of Medina, the political policy was first adopted by the Prophet is a written agreement with the Christian religion and the Jews in medina. Written agreement was then given the name of the Charter of Medina. Medina Charter is an effort to remove the gap between the tribes fighting in Medina, and unite all the diverse people of Medina into a single unit. In addition, the Prophet is also trying to strengthen relations between communities Anshor with immigrants through the bond of brotherhood between them. Apparently the Prophet was aware that the basic foundation of a strong state will not unless based on the harmony and support from all levels of society

Abstract

Abstract

In the al Quran at least there are 164 verses of jihad war that led to the people to get the glory and give spirit to fight and defend of Islam presence before the non-Muslims. This paper will need to frame verses in the context of inter-religious harmony in which Muslims live in close proximity to each other in many aspects.
