Abstract

ABSTRACT Eggplant Brownies (Brownte) is one of the culinary diversification in the Batu  City. "Sentra (Selera Nusantara)" has developed a unique food-based form of brownies healthy vegetables since 2010 with brownies carrots, tomatoes, corn, mustard greens. with the name Brownty (Healthy Brownies). The advantage of Brownty is of bioactive compounds from vegetables so it proved Brownty as one of the functional food for health. Outlets "Griya Brownte" which has a program 'Brownty Cooking Show' in the concept of "Open Kitchen" that consumers can enjoy a live presentation as well as how to cook Brownty. The concept of "Open Kitchen" aims to demonstrate the quality of materials and food processing that can be seen directly by consumers. PT Sentra also provides an opportunity for partnership cooperation Brownty healthy snacks in the form of Franchise by investing 25 million a facility such as the right partner and use the brand Brownty for 5 years, partnerships and employee training and supplies equipment for the production and marketing Brownty. The presence of IPTEKDA LIPI XIV activity has provided facilities for technology transfer in the form of food mixer, gas baking oven, steamers, production tables, showcase with freezer to increase production capacity Brownty perfomance and become competitive health food as souvenirs typical of Batu City. Keywords: brownies, open kitchen, franchise

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this activity is the application of dryer machine in potato crackers industry to strengthen production capabilities and fulfillment of market demand. There were several activities that had done,  beginning: 1) survey to “Dua Merpati” SMEs in Batu regency and do primary evaluation, 2) design  and create dryer machine 3) training 4) implementation of machine in SMEs, and 5) last evaluation and mentoring. The results showed that the application of dryer machine rack type can increase production capabilities and maintain continuity of production during the wet season, so as to meet the demand. Dryer machine that has implemented the specification: The dimensions of the drying chamber 3 x 3 meters with 126 trays, trays dimensions 30 x 70 cm, dryer capacity is 1000 kg of wet crackers/process. Performance of the dryer is to achieve a moisture content of 9 % takes 3 hours. This saves time by 50 %, where before with sun drying takes at least 6 hours. It means that the application of dryer machine in SMEs “Dua Merpati”  can improve the performance of it’s production system, product quality, efficiency, productivity and keep the production continuity.Keywords : potato cracker, dryer machine

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this activity wasto disseminate the processing of crackers technology of R. mucronata mangrove fruit in order to increase the revenue of mangrove food producer in Penunggul Village - Pasuruan.The method of this activity consisted of survey the target audience,dissemination processing of crackers technology of R. mucronata mangrove fruit, monitoring and evaluation of the program.R. mucronata mangrove fruit contains bioactive compounds tanninsthat reduce intestinal hypermotility during diarrhea.R. mucronata mangrove fruit is processed into fruit flour intended to substitute wheat flour. Flour machine submitted to the community have helped people to processmangrove fruit into flour and crackers.The process of soaking and boiling R. mucronata fruit reducedapproximately 34% tannins of young fruit.R. mucronata fruits crackers contained 231 ppm tannins and it is safe to consume. Based on the evaluation, 90 % of participants expressed very interested and would like to apply this technology. Keywords: crackers, diarrhea,Rhizophora mucronata, tannin

Abstract

ABSTRACTTo assess whether aidequipment program for science and technology to mendong craftsman living in village of Blayu, in Blayu sub-district gives a positive impact for the recipient, so it is needed analysis to know how far such aidequipment program effectively to the people.For the purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of aid equipment including its training is to encourage the growth of mendong production into quality need for local, regional and international market. The method to assess the effectiveness of development of mendong craftsmen is used descriptive analysis. Such analysis using the method of evaluation of the effectiveness of programs by using the table associated with the importance and effectiveness of the recipient. To assess such effectiveness is used method called Importance Performace Analysis (IPA).The results of this research showed that aid equipment is recognized extremely small, although it could increase production and reduce the hours of operation. This research resulted in the finding that the aid of mendong equipment can cause social jealousy.This is because the aid given only to a small group, while the other groups is not given aid yet.Keywords:aid equipment, effectivity, important performance analysis
