Abstract

Background of the study: The development and knowledge, the library is used as a source to meet the information needs each student. However, ther are still many students who experience confusion in using the library so that library anxiety will occur and the fulfillment of their information needs will not be fulfilled. Purpose: This study aims to determine the level of library anxiety and the fulfilment of information needs for students of the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Bengkulu University batch 2019. Method: The method use is a descriptive quantitative research method. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling, selected as many as 83 students Findings: the result showed that the level library anxiety in students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Bengkulu University batch 2019 was 3,5 categorized with high level of anxiety. The level of fulfillment of information needs after being associated with library anxiety in students students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Bengkulu University batch 2019 is 3,6 , categorized as a high level. Conclusion: The level of library anxiety that occurs in students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Bengkulu University batch 2019 includes a high level of anxiety of fulfillment of their information needs after being associated with library anxiety is categorized with a high level so that the overal fulfillment of their information needs is not met

Abstract

Background of the study: The functionality of the library information system needs to be improved for users be able to receive the system. Evaluation of user acceptance is one of the benchmarks for the successful implementation of library information systems. Purpose: This study aims to describe the response of acceptance from users to the UNTAG Library Information System (ULISYS). Method: This research used qualitative methods using interviews with 6 main informants according to criteria, observations at the UNTAG Surabaya Library, and documentation. Data validity and accuracy tests using source triangulation techniques. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman concept. Findings: The use of ULISYS which is considered easy is proven to be able to increase labor productivity from the Education Staff of UNTAG Surabaya Library. The positive attitude of users to use ULISYS is said to be the acceptance phase towards ULISYS. The desire of the Education Staff of UNTAG Surabaya Library to keep using existing information systems can affect the intensity of ULISYS use. Conclusion: ULISYS can be accepted by the Education Staff of UNTAG Surabaya Library with 4 factors that support the acceptance including ease of use factors, usefulness factors, attitudes towards using of information systems, and behavioral intention to use information systems.

Abstract

Background of the study: Student research paper have an important role in the effort to mapping scientific archival field. Scientific work in the form of a diploma student's final paper can be a representation of the real conditions of conceptual dynamics and archival practices. Therefore, this study analyzes how the relationship between student final paper and the development of archival education curriculum. Purpose: This study aims to explain the correlation of student's final paper to the scientific development of archivel science at diploma level. The approach in this study refers to descriptive analysis. Method: This study is a descriptive qualitative research The method in this study is a literature study and interviews, while the instruments used in data collection are the results of an inventory of the students final paper of the Archival Science Study Program, Vocational College, UGM from 1997-2020. The data analysis technique refers to the frequency distribution using Microsoft Excel program. Findings: The tendency of students final paper related to the study of processing and managing textual is still dominant in the field of records. In addition, the dynamics of scientific development in the archival science still refers to the practical realm to create paraprofessional graduates in their fields. Conclusion: The scientific development of archival science through discourse in an effort to develop and establish new study programs at the Diploma-3 and Diploma-4 levels is relevant, considering the needs of Arsiparis in several institutions or organizations, both in the public and private sectors. Abstract

Background of the study: Documentation is an imperative initiative in safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) to consolidate and nurture appreciation that is intact to culture and heritage within a society. However, many countries in the world still give less attention to documenting heritage systematically. Purpose: This study aims to achieve a greater exposure of Institutional Memory’s in Malaysia play a role in preserving and conserving heritage information on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) through the documentation strategy of Mak Yong’s performing art collection. Method: This study adopted a case study approach by pertaining qualitative research method. Qualitative data were gathered through content analyses towards 521 of Mak Yong’s performing art collection were carried out in three (3) Malaysia Institutional Memory. Findings: The study found that the lack of Mak Yong’s collection in institutional memories is contributed to some elements that require detailed documentation such as characters, spectacle, diction, and sound. Conclusion: safeguarding of ICH through preservation and conservation of Mak Yong’s information collection that still needs to be improved by considering the consolidation of integrated institutional memory’s roles and ongoing implementation of documentation strategy program of heritage information.

Abstract

Background of the study: The increasing number of archive services with the implementation of online archive services. This increase services needs to work with excellence service in university archive. The Kanban method is a potential service management approach. This study examines the application of kanban in university archive services and what needs to be considered for its successful implementation. Purpose: This study aims to evaluate and provide recommendations for improving the implementation of the kanban system in university archive services. Method: This study uses a qualitative method (Action research). Collecting data by direct observation and experience of researchers while work as an archivist. Findings: Kanban method helps service coordinators to more easily monitor archive service requests through the kanban board. It is necessary to determine the WIP according to the capacity of the service team. There is a redundant task basket that needs to be integrated into a single process. Improvement of electronic-based work culture for service division archivists in the application of digital kanban. Conclusion: Improving the quality of university archive services can be done with a kanban approach. Kanban flexibility can be applied to a variety of archive service processes. Periodic evaluation needs to be done so that the applied kanban method is more perfect.
