Abstract

The  purpose of this empirical research is to examine influenced the three elements of intellectual capital that are human capital, structural capital, and customer capital  with business performance.Data used for this research was collected from human resources development, financial, marketing, and  R D manager. Data collected by contact person. 37 questionnaires were sent to managers from big scale manufactur enterprises in Surabaya. Analysis was  conducted using Linear Multiple Regression with SPSS 11.0 softwares.The main conclusions from this  research are that : human capital, structural capital, and customer capital  simultaneously  have  positive  and significant influence with business performance    human capital has positive  and significant influence with business performance,  structural capital has positive  and significant influence with business performance, and customer capital has positive  and significant influence with business performance.

Abstract

This study investigated interest, inflation, and financial ratio consist of leverage, earnings variability, accounting beta, earnings per share, price earnings ratio, price book value, and dividend yield as independent variables that influence systematic risk. Dependent variables is systematic risk that proxied by beta. Population this study are public companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange.Samples used in this research are selected using purposive sampling from public companies of Jakarta Islamic Indeks (JII) from 2001-2005. The research tested hypotheses by using multiple regression analysis models. Based on model used, the results with F-test or Anova show that interest, inflation, and financial ratio significant influence on syariah stock beta. The result show thad interest and inflation did not influent to systematic risk. The results also show that from the nine factors of financial assumed influent to syariah stock beta, there are three factors which partially show significant influence consist of: leverage, earnings variability, and price book value.

Abstract

This objective of this study is to analyze the effect of good corporate governance mechanism that consist of board of commissioners’ independence, information transparency, and audit committee on the cost of equity capital. Board  of commissioners independence, information transparency, and audit committee are able to role as the mechanism good corporate governance.The result showed that cost of equity capital is effected by board  of commissioners independence, information transparency, and audit committee. Thereby in order to reduce cost of equity capital those three variable must be well managed by means of good corporate governance effective.

Abstract

The investigation study the role of government in influencing the economy. Initially, economists acknowledge the role of government is only limited to the provision of social overhead capital or infrastructure to facilitate economic development, but subsequent developments bear the thought that emphasized the need for government intervention in the economy wider to solve certain problems (Krueger, 1990). There are several factors that indicate aspects of the general weakness of state enterprises such as production costs, efficiency, labor costs, capital costs, customer feedback, innovation and flexibility, decision making, continuity of service, cost control, and the relation of ownership, performance, and status organization. Relative Balance Theory of which is a pragmatic approach that skewness is determined by balancing the emphasis of environmental conditions. In relation to accounting, management of privatization and corporatization in the performance report on the management company in terms of accountability in the form of financial statements by considering the company's goals.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the performance of Tithe Board (BAZDA) with using Balanced Scorecard perspective. This research approach is qualitative research. The data is collected by interview, questionnaire and literature study.The result of research shows that employee and committee loyalty viewed from learning and growth perspective is good. Viewed from internal business process, BAZDA has to improve social activities to society, and viewed from costumer perspective, BAZDA has try to increase customer (muzakki) by sending appeal letter, and distributing 75% tithe to society. The BAZDA’s financial performance still has to improve because the financial distribution for ZIS is still low than financial receipt.This research has implication that BAZDA has to do strategic planning comprehensive and coherence wtih changing shorterm and longterm planning pola. The BAZDA management is necessary to promote social activities by electornic media and others so that the society is easy to get access. Thi is be able to get new costumer (muzakki).
