Abstract

Target expected from this research is to determine the correct illumination as same as to standardization and to determine the required lamp dot amount. Method used is Literature study, that is by conducting book study of related to calculation analysis, that is conduct the calculation analysis of pursuant to data obtained from picture of planning of auditorium building. Conclusion and result obtained by that factor influencing illumination calculation of a building is high of assembling shop of lamp to area enlightened the, used lamp type, angle of deflection lamp, sum up the used lamp, wide of area surface enlightened. Abstract

The Induce Motor as Generator (MISG) is induction motor operated by generator. MISG are a lot of applied in The Power Plant of Micro hydro (PLTMh). This Research Target is to control potentials voltage used the contactor and ballast load. This controller has simple technology so that it is applied in PLTMh. The Research done by determining characteristic of high voltage output MISG function of load at constant input energy. The Controller design based on it’s characteristic. The Research done in Laboratory of Transmission and Distribution of Majors of Electrotechnic FT-UNHAS. The Result of research shows that manageable output MISG voltage at about from 198 volt   to 231 volt. If without controller, so voltage of output MISG about 220 volt to 335 volt. With utilization of voltage Controller also minimize the percentage of unbalance voltage and also frequency reach. Key words: motor,induksi, tegangan, generator

Abstract

After harvesting technology drying process was an important knowledge for a rice farmer. The paddy was usually dried within 6 day in the raining season. In order to solve the problem, a drying technology has been developed by utilizing farm waste, such as husk alternative fuel. The aim of the research is to design an effective and efficient of rice dryer by using energy as result of sekam burned. Dryer scheme use the simple equipments and economically. Frame of dryer construction can be using the log while wall from Plywood. Burned chamber of sekam fuel was made to be separated from dryer space. Heat combustion was transfer to the drier space by a number of small pipes. Evaluated of dryer conducted by filling 3 kg shell of rice into dryer space after sekam begin to burning. Temperatures of each tray dryer’s chamber and external air were measured. Result of research show the device of dryer space by using heater from sekam burned was very effective for rice paddy dryer. Temperature in dryer space can be reached 40oC to 55oC where the temperature was near the maximum temperature reached by direct sun irradiating. Key words: Drier, Combustion, Biomass Energy

Abstract

Aggregate materials used in asphalt mixture is based on assumption which is materials came from the same sources, quality, and heaving the same specific gravity or almost same. There for the used of alternative filler in HRS mixture need to examinated to find filler content that produce the optimum asphalt content as reference of mix performance. This research conducted to HRS-Wearing Course type. Kind of alternative fillers in this research are hydrated lime filler and slag nickel filler. Material testing based on AASHTO/ASTM standard while filler content variation of hydrated lime filler and slag nickel filler are 1%; 3%; 5%; 7% and 9%. At each variation of comparison filler was made sample by asphalt content : 6,0%;  6,5%; 7,0%;  7,5% and 8,0%. Each specimen conducted the examination through the Marshall Test apparatus. Determination of the optimum asphalt content based on the narrow range method, conformed to the 2002 specifications of Kimpraswil Department. Result researched found that using filler content of 7% of hydrated lime can produce the optimum asphalt content (7.63%) and using filler content of 1% of slag nickel can produce the optimum asphalt content (6,75%).  Stability value compare to  dust filler is higher (1910.41 kg) than hydrated lime (1489.20 kg) and slag nickel filler (1525.40 kg) The value that is obtained from both fillers substitution is still fulfill the 2002 specifications of Kimpraswil Department for HRS-WC that is stability value recommended more than 800 kg.   Key Words: filler, nickel slag, hydrated lime, HRS Mixture

Abstract

The current standart for thermal in Indonesia is based on  ASHRAE 55-1999 (the American Standard) This standard recommends a neural temperature of 240 C, with the range of comfort between 22,50 C and 26 0C to result a thermal comfort. Study done by the author in Makassar in 2005, in which some 596 office workers from seven  multi-storey office buildings were participated in this study,showedthat these  values  were fairly to low to the average requirement of the Indonesian workers   who were(about 95% of the sample population) still comfortable within the range temperature of 24,9 0C to 28,50 C in terms of air temperature(To)or 25,10 C to 27,90 C in terms of operative temperature(To). The Lower the values of the standard would result to the higher energy consumption in the air condioned Buiding. the frinciple comparative in value divus and global there date value the had processing are kuality conditions in conditions date sky. The long day,are 97 day Clear Sky (30%), in 179 day Intermediate sky  (56%) and 44 day Overcast sky  (14%) Keywords: air temperature, operative temperature, neutral (comfort) temperature, thermal sensation, illumination, radiation.

Abstract

Urbanization, accompanied by the increase of population and living of standard, causes the increase of consumption, both product and service, which is concentrated in urban area. Waste as residual material of that consumption has to be handled properly, respectively to the fact that solid waste management is an essential element of public health, environment and aesthetic quality of urban area. Unfortunately, in the case of Kendari Municipality, there is unbalance between waste generation and the capacity of solid waste management of Municipality, which shows the inefficiency of implemented management. The lack of implementation of alternative method of solid waste management; capacity building in term of human resource; financial source and public awareness are identified as the factors influencing that inefficiency. Respectively to the identified factors, the implementation of integrated solid waste management in Kendari Municipality is urgently needed.
