Abstract

The Office of Archives and Library of Badung Regency has launched the I-Badung digital library application which later changed its name to Pustaka Gita. The innovation of Pustaka Gita or this digital library is to provide services to the general public, blind people and elementary school students without being limited by space and time. This study aims to determine the evalvbuation of the use of the Gita Library application by explaining that this application is accepted and used properly or otherwise by users. This study uses a descriptive type of research with a quantitative approach using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) evaluation model. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, literature study and questionnaires with 2 independent variables and 3 dependent variables. The technique of determining the informants used purposive sampling (aimed at) with a total of 99 verified user respondents and had used the Gita Library application. The results of the study show that the Gita Library application has been beneficial for the people who use it but its utilization is still relatively low. Abstract

Librarians deserve good service from the library. However, not all libraries have disabled-friendly services. This study aims to evaluate the disabled services provided for persons with disabilities at the Mangutama Literature Library, the Archives and Library Office of Badung Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through interviews, field observations, documentation and literature study. Informants in this study were librarians and users of the Mangutama Literature Library, Badung Regency Archives and Library Office. The results showed that the service management for the disabled was not optimal, as seen from the unavailability of guiding blocks or special floor directions intended for the blind, the lack of special computers and special library materials for the disabled.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out a concept of digital services that can be done and provide analysis in the application of communication to online services from university libraries in terms of providing services to students. The method in this study uses a literature study on scientific concepts related to library science and analysis of publications carried out by library institutions during the pandemic. Research data obtained through observations on several library websites. The data is processed and then presented in descriptive form. Abstract

Along with the times, library-comparison to provide a reliable source of information. In the era of globalization, people's mindsets continue to develop which has an impact on how to find sources of information where users search for internet information sources with the help of smartphones, it is easy to find information about the spread of hoax news among the public. Therefore, libraries need to innovate by creating digital library services that can be accessed via smartphones, commonly known as mobile libraries. The iPusnas application is a digital library application that helps users find information without being hindered by distance and time. The iPusnas application has interesting features and collections that make this application superior.

Abstract

Libraries as information provider institutions cannot be separated from the threat of disaster. The occurrence of disasters cannot be predicted by time, so it is very important for librarians to design strategies in dealing with the threat of disasters. The phenomenon that occurs is that not all libraries have a strategy to prevent disaster threats. This study aims to minimize the losses suffered by the library due to disasters. The author uses the literature study method. Library strategies in dealing with disasters through planning and disaster management can be divided into 4 (four) namely: Prevention, Planning, Response, Recovery.

Abstract

The complexity of the problems of poverty and social inequality in Indonesia becomes a paradox when the development that has been promoted for almost 50 years has not brought significant changes in alleviating poverty. The still high percentage of poor people in Indonesia means that welfare cannot be reached by all Indonesian people. Considering that the indicators of poverty and welfare are economic, it cannot be separated from the enactment of the current global system of neo-liberalism. This paper tries to dissect the failure of development practices in Indonesia, which in its implementation is very contrary to the principle of prioritizing the interests of the people as a result of being infected with the logic of neo-liberalism. This condition actually ends up widening social inequalities as well as perpetuating poverty. The indications are getting stronger when the government and public space seem to have become "traders" and objectify society in development cases for their interests. By using Habermas' communicative action approach and deliberative space, he feels he is capable of being a solution to this problem in order to achieve the re-actualization of Indonesia's development independently and based on solidarity in the interests of the nation.
