Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh induksi CO2 terhadap pertumbuhan sel mikroalga air tawar Staurastrum sp. Kultur dilakukan dalam skala laboratorium pada tabung Erlenmeyer yang telah berisi Medium Basal Bold (MBB). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal yang terdiri dari 3 taraf : induksi karbondioksida (CO2), induksi udara, dan kontrol (tanpa perlakuan). Pertumbuhan sel Staurastrum sp pada perlakuan induksi udara mencapai puncak yang sama dengan kontrol pada hari ke-11, dengan kepadatan selnya 1.063.166 sel.ml-1 dan pada kontrol 385.833 sel.ml-1. Pada perlakuan induksi CO2 puncak pertumbuhan ada dua yaitu hari ke-9 dengan kepadatan sel 772.793 sel.ml-1 dan pada hari ke-13 sebesar 436.888 sel.ml-1. Laju pertumbuhan kultur sel Staurastrum sp maksimal pada perlakuan induksi CO2 yaitu 1,59 pembelahan sel.hari-1 pada hari ke-6,87, pada perlakuan induksi udara yaitu 1,49 pembelahan sel.hari-1 pada hari ke-7,69, dan pada kontrol yaitu 1,05 pembelahan sel.hari-1 pada hari ke-3,96. Pada akhir pengamatan, pH medium kultur dengan perlakuan induksi CO2 mencapai angka 9,1 pada perlakuan induksi udara 8,3 dan pada kontrol 7,6. Biomassa tertinggi sel Staurastrum sp pada perlakuan induksi CO2 2,4 g.l-1 diikuti perlakuan induksi udara 2,1 g.l-1 dan kontrol 1,6 g.l-1. Kadar klorofil tertinggi dari sel Staurastrum sp pada perlakuan induksi CO2 10,70 mg.l-1 diikuti pada perlakuan induksi udara 10,57 mg.l-1 dan kontrol 7,84 mg.l-1 .

Abstract

Currently existing information systems at the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN SGD Bandung focused on academic information systems only. While the use of academic information outside together in order to support service to consumers and sharing knowledge are still rare. Application service is an information management system and a web-based desktop dedicated to the educational institutions to simplify the complexity of the administrative process and take advantage of efficiencies in education-related activities. Application service is a customized software provided with many modules integrated automaton cycle of student life, academic systems, financial management systems and staff. It is very suitable for various educational institutions including universities.

Abstract

Kauniyah verses of iron in the Qur'an Surah Al Hadiid, Verse 25, in particular, has not been widely studied in the perspective of chemistry, let the problems associated with its implementation according to what is listed in the verse. In this paper, we discussed about of “great strength of iron” in the verse from the viewpoint of modern chemistry supported with findings of iron in other scientific disciplines are closely related with, as in Geology, Physics, Biology and Materials Science. In this paper, we also discussed the meaning of the next sentence of the verse "...and that Allah may know who is helping (religion) Him and His apostles but God has not seen." The discussion is limited to a review of the nuclear chemistry (nuclides), chemical structure, magnetic, and chemical bonding properties. We can be concluded that the iron does have remarkable properties leading to iron predicate as stated in the verse. The facts of iron are following: (1) Iron is an element with isotopes that have the most stable nucleus of all the existing elements; (2) Iron has metal structure (polymorph) that adaptive to the presence of other metal/s or elements in its structure, so it can be made many variations of steel/alloy; (3) Iron has the strongest magnetic effect on life on earth; and (4) The nature of the bonds formed between the iron with organic compounds of iron proved a major role in biochemical processes. Finally, the great strength of the iron phenomenon has consequences as a reflection of Muslims in order to use it in various forms that lead to the establishment of Islamic symbols.

Abstract

The Jatropha curcas oil extraction process potentially produce 1 (one) ton/ha of seed cake of 5 ton of Jatropha curcas fruit process into 2 ton/ha of Jatropha curcas oil. This solid organic waste has high potency as broiler feeding. However, the problem is the nutrition value of jatropha seed cake, because the seed cake contains too high raw fat and raw protein that can not be digested directly. Fermentation is one of the method to improve the nutrition value of seed cake. In this research, Rhizopus oryzae was used as fermentation agent of jathropa seed cake. This research is aimed to obtain the optimal inoculum dosage and fermentation duration to improve nutrition value of Jatropha curcas seed cake. The experiment used random factorial method with three times repetition. The factor for the first treatment is fermentation duration, 72 hours, 96 hours and 120 hours. The factor for the second treatment was inoculum dosage, that comprised three degree, 2 g/kg, 3 g/kg, and 4 g/kg. Measured parameter were proximate analysis of raw protein and fat content of fermentation product. The research’s result shows the change of nutrient content in Jatropha curcas seed cake after fermentation. The results showed that highest increase of raw protein (7,97%) was achieved by 3g/kg inoculum dosage and 120 hours fermentation duration. The highest decrease in raw fat (82,46,%) achieved by 4g/kg inoculum dosage and 96 hours fermentation duration. From its effectivity, it is obtained that the optimal inoculum dosage is 3 g/kg with optimal fermentation duration which is 120 hours that yield the best nutrient quality in Jatropha curcas seed cake fermentation.

Abstract

Merkuri merupakan salah satu jenis polutan yang bersifat toksik. Merkuri menimbulkan masalah serius bagi kesehatan manusia, seperti bioaccumulation merkuri dalam otak dan ginjal pada akhirnya mengarah pada penyakit neurologis. Baik tanaman maupun bakteri merupakan agens biologi penting yang dapat digunakan untuk bioremediasi, maka beberapa tahun terakhir ini bidang mikrobiologi terapan dan biologi molekular menjadi dasar pengembangan teknologi bioremediasi dengan memanfaatkan bakteri yang dapat mereduksi merkuri. Merkuri merupakan unsur yang sangat beracun bagi semua makhluk hidup , baik itu dalam bentuk unsur tunggal (logam) ataupun dalam bentuk persenyawaan. Merkuri umumnya terdiri dari tiga bentuk yaitu elemen merkuri (Hg0), ion merkuri (Hg2+), dan merkuri organik kompleks. Bioremediasi adalah penggunaan organisme hidup, terutama mikroorganisme, untuk mendegradasi kontaminan lingkungan ke dalam bentuk yang kurang beracun. Secara umum teknik bioremediasi terbagi dua in situ (on-site), dapat dilakukan langsung di lokasi tanah tercemar dan ex situ (off-site). Jenis-jenis bioremediasi adalah sebagai berikut biostimulasi, bioaugmentasi dan bioremediasi intrinsic. Sejumlah bakteri resisten terhadap merkuri telah diisolasi dari berbagai jenis lingkungan. Umumnya bakteri tersebut termasuk dalam kelompok baik bakteri Gram negatif maupun Gram positif. Beberapa bakteri aerobik dan fakultatif mengkatalisasi proses reduksi Hg(II) menjadi Hg(0) seperti Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Corynebacterium, Micrococcus dan Vibrio. Pseudomonas maltophilia dapat mereduksi Cr6+ yang bersifat mobile dan toksik menjadi bentuk immobile dan nontoksik Cr3+ serta meminimumkan mobilitas ion toksik lainnya di lingkungan seperti Hg2+, Pb2+ dan Cd2+.

Abstract

The main activity in higher education in accordance with its main function is as education is academic service providers. This paper conducted a study of how the governance of information technology related to academic service to the organization UIN SGD Bandung, so that using information technology especially in terms of academic service which is a new service can help the organization in achieving its objectives. This paper refers to one of the governance framework for information technology that is ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) version 3 which is the latest version of the ITIL framework is based on lifecycle. One of the cycles that exist in ITIL version 3 is the IT Service Operation which is the focus area of this paper. The procedure in this paper are: 1. Study of literature from a variety of relevant literature. 2. The collection of data and information through survey, observation, interview and collecting documents. 3. Data analysis. 4. Creating strategies and evaluate the application of IT Service Operation in UIN SGD Bandung. From the survey which was conducted with students, lecturers and employees of IT and Non IT regarding their response to conditions of readiness for implementing IT Service Operation in UIN SGD Bandung, so we found the conditions currently in the initial and repeatable stage where the condition is still necessary corrective steps which related to the implementation IT Service Operation. In this paper conducted an evaluation of strategy formulation and implementation of improvements to IT Service Operation in UIN SGD Bandung using frameworks IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3.

Abstract

Corrosive water will affect the age of dam and hydroelectric equipment, hydropower. Analysis of water quality parameters of physical-chemistry at the surface and depth at the dam site and hydropower intake Cirata. Results of analysis using water corrosion index shows that the value of LSI 6.0 ie, 8.9 s / d 10.5 and LI> 0.2 0.63-0 , 97. Index value indicates the water in the water for hydropower generation Cirata (Dam site and Intake) has corrosive tendencies.

Abstract

Aspergilus ochraceu and A. terreus had been known as mould that causes significant loss to quality of tomatoes. One of potential methods to control the development of this mould by using the antagonistic activity of Rhodotorula sp. Six strains of Rhodotorula sp., UICC Y-318, UICC Y-325, UICC Y- 332, UICC Y-381, UICC Y-384, and UICC Y-386, which isolated from Cibodas Botanical Garden, West Java were observed for its antagonistic activity against mould A. ochraceu D1.2.2.2.SSM3 and A. terreus D2.2.MC. Co-culture method was used as 1.58 to 5.59 x 108 CFU/ml Rhodotorula sp. growth together with 7 x 107 CFU/ml A. ochraceus D1.2.2.2.SSM3 and 7.5 x 107 CFU/ml A. terreus D2.2.MC at PDB. Result showed that the highest percentage reduction of conidial heads and hyphal width was show by Rhodotorula sp. UICC Y-318 against A.ochraceus (9.45% and 12.43%; 7.10% and 7.51%, 2 and 3 day after incubation, respectively).
