Abstract

This paper aims to study regional economic in Southeast Sulawesi Province. Analyse in this paper used export based approach and input-output analysis. This study found that (1) agriculture sector, construction, transport and communication, and service sector become base sectors in Southeast Sulawesi. (2) Sector electricity, gas, water and sector finance have positive value in industry mix and regional shift. Otherwise, sector agriculture and sector services can categorize in slow growth sector and high competence sector. (3) Sector mining have highest output multiplier. (4) Sector agriculture and sector trade, hotel, restaurant have forward linkage indeks more than one. (5) Sector mining, sector agriculture, and sector trade hotel restaurant have backward linkage indeks more than one too. (6) Sector agriculture and sector trade hotel restaurant become key sectors in Southeast Sulawesi Province. This sectors which need to be developed because by expanding this sector expected to push another economic sector.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the dominant sector in Komering Ogan Ilir. By using the analytical approach of MRP, Shift Share, LQ, Overlay and Klassen typology can be concluded that the economic potential held Komering Ogan Ilir is the agricultural sector and the manufacturing industry which is the dominant sector growth. In addition, the sector also showed an increase of the structure of economic growth. It is given that most residents in thearea of OKI regency is still engaged in agriculture, so agriculture has an outstanding growth of other sectors. In addition, the manufacturing industry has also an outstanding growth among manufacturing Kemplang and Pempek industries that thriving in South Sumatra Province and District OKI.

Abstract

Economic theories, especially theories of development evolves from the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to the sustainable economic development. But the scenario toward economic sustainability is still characterized various opinions on the implementation of green GDP. There is the notion that environmental impacts will be reduced automatically if the level of public welfare has been achieved. While other opinion says that there is no positive relationship between economic growth by improving environmental quality. This paper presents the arguments of these two opinions. This paper concludes with reviews of green GDP concept is associated with environmental degradation, and welfare of the community. Green GDP growth rates have economic consequences that low since corrected by environmental constraints. However, improved environmental quality and provide hope for humans to live sustainable. Problem that must be addressed along with the implementation of green GDP is to do redefinition of welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the leading sectors in each district/city in the province of Yogyakarta Special Region. In addition, analysis of the disparities between districts was also discussed in this study. This study using Location Quotient approach, Typology Klassen, Williamson index and Theil Entropy Index. The results showed that there is a tendency that this disparity increased over time, the city of Yogyakarta in the regional classification fast forward and fast growing, whereas the districts of Bantul and Kulon Progo, including in relatively remote areas classification. DIY Province rising trend imbalances occur. The calculated ratio of the highest per capita income and lowest regions in the Province of DIY shows the trend of improvement.

Abstract

This research aims to know foreign and domestic investment growth among provinces in Indonesia, to identify how many foreign and domestic investment disparity between the provinces in Indonesia, and what factors cause these differences. The research method used is descriptive analysis, trend analysis, regression analysis of foreign and domestic investment disparity between provinces in Indonesia. This research included aspects of regional expansion policy as one of the variables. This research also considered the implications for the possible emergence of an investment gap foreign investment/domestic investment in the area. The results of this research imply that the impact of expansion policy of the province of Gorontalo from North Sulawesi province within short term relatively have not shown significant influence but in the medium and long term have a significant influence on foreign investment gap in the economic context in Eastern Indonesia. The conclusion of this research is that there are disparities issue of foreign investment in North Sulawesi. Disparity investment is also caused by disparity economic infrastructure among region in Indonesia.
