Abstract

Hospitals as health services should prevent the risk of infection for patients and hospital staff. One indicator of success in hospital services is the low number of nosocomial infections or Healthcare-Associated Infection. Efforts to reduce the incidence of nosocomial infections are by carrying out good Central Sterile Supply Department services. This study aims to describe the process of sterilization transition in Mitra Delima Hospital Malang from a decentralized system to a centralized system. This study uses a qualitative approach that is focused on the Sterilization Unit of General hospital of Mitra Delima Malang. The study was conducted in August-October 2019. This research was conducted using interviews, observations, document studies, and literature studies. Sterilization activities at Mitra Delima Malang General Hospital which is still decentralized, starting from the decontamination process to labelling in other units, it is necessary to have a plan to develop a Central Sterilization Installation that is in line with the needs of Mitra Delima Malang General Hospital and accordance with the regulations, guidelines, and standards of Installation Central Sterilization to achieve the ideal Central Sterilization Installation. Nurses' knowledge of 6 patient safety goals in the hospital is able to prevent patient safety incidents. The study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, teamwork, and knowledge on patient safety culture at Ananda Bekasi Hospital. This research method uses the explanatory causality approach, conducted by a survey method and its correlation technique with the time dimension of one short study. The sample in this study were nurses in the inpatient installation. Sampling size determined using the Purposive Sampling technique resulting in 98 samples. Data analysis uses multiple regression test. The result showed that leadership style, teamwork, and knowledge influence either partially or simultaneously to patient safety culture at Ananda Bekasi Hospital. The dominant of independent variables is teamwork. Finding: In-hospital services, the role of teamwork is significant in creating the patient safety culture. Abstract

Indonesia has committed to eradicating infectious diseases by launching an Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) in 1977 with a focus on 6 diseases: tuberculosis, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, and polio. According to the Basic Health Survey (RISKESDAS) 2018, the rate of basic immunization coverage for children in Indonesia was still below 60% and coverage between provinces varies. West Java was among the province with low child basic immunization coverage. The current study is designed to examine the socio-economic factors that influence child basic immunization using logistic regression. Socioeconomic data were extracted from the National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas) 2017 and Village Potential (Podes) Survey 2018. The study finds that income, maternal education, location of residence, insurance ownership, availability of health facilities and health workers increase the likelihood of children getting immunized.

The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of the needs of nurses based on the WISN method. The method was descriptive observational with the One-Shot method. The number of samples was 9 nurses when taking action directly, indirectly and personally both of so obtaining 27 times of observations, with a total 12,960 minutes. Observations were done using time and motion study with 5 steps. The results showed that the morning shift was obtained the results of direct activities were 609.35, indirect activities were 1783.13, and personally were 386.23, while evening shift was obtained the results of direct activities were 1119.26, indirect activities were 1413.46 and personally were 466.18, and the night was obtained the results of direct activities were 700.1, indirect activities were 1541.7, and personally were 2126.22, with total workload standards 422773.6674 hours/years. The final results obtained the need for nurses is 28 people, while which are available is 24 nurses, with the WISN Ratio result, it is found that 0.8 is less than 1. The results of this study can be taken into consideration in reducing the number of nursing staff in the morning shift and added the afternoon shift.

Abstract

Inpatient drug service in the pharmaceutical installation in Hospital X has not met the (MSS) Minimal Service Standard. There is delay in delivering the drug by 3%, while according to the standard, it should be 0%. Objective Case study was conducted by the researcher aiming to know the factors affecting the length of time of inpatient drug service in the pharmaceutical installation and its solution alternative. Method: The research was carried out qualitatively, in which the data was collected through unstructured interview, FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and observation. The participants involved in the research was 30 people. Result are The research data was analyzed using ?5 why? by grouping the 5M factors obtained consisting of man, method, machine, material and management into 3 main factors as the causes of the long waiting time. The main factors causing the long waiting time were the absence of time target for each service flow established by the management, incomplete SOP (Standard Operational Procedure), the absence of service flow in accordance with the implementation in the field as well as ineffective and inefficient inpatient pharmaceutical installation layout. Furthermore, in order to obtain the solution, NGT (Nominal Group Technique) was employed to do the assessment obtaining 3 solutions including completing the SOP and designing the inpatient drug service flow in pharmaceutical installation, establishing the target time for each service flow by the management, and designing more effective and efficient layout for the pharmaceutical installation.

Abstract

Diarrhea According to epidemiological theory is influenced by 3 factors, namely host, Agent and environment. The host is a landlady or as it is occupied for instance age, nutritional status. Diarrhoea disease in infants whose nutritional status is bad is more difficult to heal because of the damaged intestinal mucosa in the process of a longer revitalization. From the Government Health Service data of Jember District, in May 2008 the number of Diarrhea suffered reaches 4,601.  In January 2008, the number of diarrhea sufferers reached 5,202 people, February 5,361, March 4,754, and April 4,755 sufferers. Of these, people less than 5 years old reach 70 percent. The purpose of this research to Analyzed attitude of mother in the treatment of diarrhea in an infant in the health centre of Arjasa District Regency of Jember. The research method used cross-sectional study. The population of this study was toddlers with diarrhea of 58 children. Non-probability sampling technique with consecutive sampling types (which meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria). The information regarding maternal attitude was obtained by questionnaire. Statistic test used descriptive analysis. Abstract

Turnover Intention is recognized as the best predictor of actual displacement. As a result of high turnover in nursing can lead to high financial costs, disrupt functional team formation, increase the workload of other nurses, and can reduce the quality of nursing services for patients and have an impact on overall hospital quality. This study aims to provide empirical evidence of the formation of intention to move to nurses who are influenced by job satisfaction, work-family conflict, and appreciation. The research design is quantitative with a type of explanatory causality research using primary data in the form of a questionnaire distributed to 174 people. The sampling technique in this study was carried out with the saturation sampling method. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The unit of analysis includes individual nurses with cross sectional time horizons. The results obtained are work-family conflict, appreciation, job satisfaction simultaneously affect the intention to move nurses at the "X" hospital. Work-family conflict has a negative effect on job satisfaction. Giving awards has a positive effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction gives effect to the formation of the intention to move. Work-family conflict has a positive effect on the formation of the intention to move. The awarding has a negative effect on the formation of nurses' intentions. The research findings show the ?hallo effect? causes the actualization obtained by nurses has not been able to increase job satisfaction, resulting in stronger intention to move.
