Abstract

UD. Jazuli IB in TPI Lumpur Gresik has implemented quality control. But in the belief, there is damage to bader/tawes in 2016 with a percentage of 17%. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of quality control at UD. Jazuli IB in bader/tawes fishing and quality control system using statistical quality. Control approach with the result of this research is implementation of quality control in fish processing bader/tawes seen from good in meeting company standards, this is evidenced by customer statement when monitored using map control, quality control it some have not been properly implemented, as many damaged fish are out control limits quality control by using the quality cost implemented by the company is still loose, because the cost of quality issued to control the cost quality is 187,444,404 IDR, quality assurance fee 18,204,000 IDR, and total cost for quality 205,648,404 IDR with damage rate 1,517 kg, it is bigger than it should be quality cost. Costs for 58,414,320 IDR, and the total cost for the quality level is 116,828,715 IDR with the rate from damage 4,867.86 kg. Thus, companies need to improve quality continuously to obtain maximum results and processing and quality control.

Abstract

The wireless communication system is a well known and a standard technology. However, the system performance is highly dependent on the channel fading between transmitter and receiver. Therefore, there is a transmit diversity technique such as Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) to reduce fading effect.One of the transmit diversity technique is Orthogonal Space-Time Block Code (OSTBC). OSTBC is a transmission channel coding technique with multiple transmitting and receiving antennas. The principle of OSTBC is to send multiple copies of the information signal from a data stream across some antennas; thus, some of the copies of data received are better than others. After combined with BPSK modulation, a compressed Bot Error Rate (BER) value at 10-3 at 5 dB Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) was obtained, whereas after combined by QPSK modulation, a BER value at 10-3 at 7 dB SNR was obtained.

Abstract

Mount Penanggungan is one of the volcanoes that located in East Java Province, Indonesia, with the current status is a sleeping volcano. Although Mount Penanggungan is not active, it still make an interesting investigation in geological survey, especially to identify the lithological units, due that less researchers took place in Mount Penanggungan. Remote sensing imagery, such as Landsat 8 Satellite imagery series data has been used widely in geology for mapping lithology in general. Remote sensing provides information of the properties of the surface exploration targets that is potential in mapping lithological units. Remote sensing techniques are one of the standard procedures in exploration geology, due to it is high efficiency and low cost. Lithological mapping in Mount Penanggungan area is carried out by analisys Landsat 8 Satellite imagery data with image enhancement techniques, including RGB (red, green, blue) band composite, using band 5, 6, and 7, and band ratio using combination band 4/2, 5/6, dan 6/7. From Landsat 8 Satellite imagery, combines it with the results of surface geological mapping, showed that morphology are mountains, the lithological units are devided to 4 units, andesite boulder, tuf breccias, andesite lava, and andesite breccias.

Abstract

This research of bioethanol processed from fruit maja (Aegle Marmelos L.), the process consists of two stages of fermentation and ethanol fractional distillation for the separation of water with a temperature of 78°C. The fermentation process 5-day produces ethanol content of 60% in the first distillation, fractional distillation is then performed to obtain the ethanol content above 90% and 4 times distilled into ethanol optimal levels above 90%. This distillation produces ethanol content of 92%. etonal content analysis results obtained 92.19%, μ 1.498, ρ 0.8371 , 9546.223 calorific value, flash point: +21, pour point 60ᵒC not frozen and PH 5.

Abstract

Inventory control becomes a very important activity in a company because the cost of inventory can reach about 20% to 40% of the total annual value. Inventory is a capital or company asset consist of raw materials, work in process and finished product. Currently, the value of inventory at PT Unilever Indonesia Savory Factory has exceeded the maximum target of the company but some raw materials have shortage or stock-out, meaning that the current inventory condition is inefficient because the company invests too much in inventory but the shortage of inventory for certain raw materials still occurs. This is the reason why it is necessary to improve inventory efficiency. Improvements were made by utilizing ABC inventory analysis method and arranging and scheduling raw material supply as needed, then making priority scale of raw material improvement on ABC inventory analysis based on class A, B and C. The research was continued by rescheduling the tracking delivery and counting time frozen horizon which is the amount of time it takes raw materials during the distribution process or delivery process, so the frozen horizon is smaller than lead time. By performing fixed order interval on class A and fixed order quantity raw materials for class B and C raw materials, the quantity of imported raw materials gradually adjust to the needs and the high value of the company’s inventory can be reduced gradually as well. The end result is the risk of shortage can be reduced as much as 26%, overstock can be reduced by 12% and in total overall value over value inventory can be decreased as much as 23%.

Abstract

Industri minyak pelumas merupakan industri yang berkembang pesat. Proses pengolahan industri minyak pelumas ada 3 tahapan proses yaitu Pre-flash, Thermal de-asphalthing dan Hydrofinishing. Proses hydrofinishing dibagi menjadi 3 produk oli yaitu Spindel Lube Fraction, High Lube Fraction, Light Lube Fraction. Di industri minyak pelumas terdapat sistem perpipaan SLF (Spindel Lube Fraction). Spindel Lube Fraction dari pompa menuju kondensor. Pipa dan fluida memiliki berat sehingga memerlukan penyangga. Maksimum jarak  yang diijinkan antara penyangga pipa dibatasi 3 faktor utama yaitu tegangan tekuk, defleksi vertikal, dan frekuensi alami. Pipa yang terhubung dengan pompa (Pulsation line) harus memiliki frekuensi alami lebih dari 8 cps. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menentukan maksimum jarak yang diijinkan penyangga pipa dengan perhitungan berdasarkan batasan tegangan, defleksi, dan frekuensi alami. Maksimum jarak yang diijinkan antara penyangga pipa sebesar 9,18 ft (2800 mm) dan pipa memiliki frekuensi alami sebesar 14,41 cps. Jumlah penyangga yang dibutuhkan pada jalur pipa Spindel Lube Fraction yaitu 11 buah penyangga.
