Abstract

Abstract. Halal entrepreneurship is relevant for national economic growth, with the application of the AAOIFI transaction standard (ATS) having diverse impacts on halal digital entrepreneurship engagement. Despite the significant halal market value, ATS influence on business practices presents significant opportunities and challenges for halal digital entrepreneurship engagement, particularly in Indonesia. This qualitative study investigates the relevance and applicability of ATS in Indonesia’s halal digital entrepreneurship engagements through 13 purposive sampling semi-structured interviews analyzed thematically (open coding and axial coding) using NVIVO software. Findings accompanied by negative cases highlight the practical theme of strategic engagement and application of the ATS, contributing new perspectives to halal entrepreneurship theory and practice in halal digital business that harnesses the ATS. This theoretical implication extends the understanding of halal digital entrepreneurship and conforms to the importance of integrating AAOIFI into the halal ecosystem. Practical implications include leveraging ATS for digital business growth while upholding Islamic values, extending ATS application to the real sector, both globally and digitally, and understanding ATS as crucial for success in halal digital businesses.  Keywords:  Halal entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship engagement, AAOIFI transaction standard, Indonesia’s halal digital business, thematic analysis

Abstract

Abstract. Industry 4.0 become popular when it launched first time in 2011. This revolution refers to interconnection of manufacturing system, which known as Internet of Things. As Indonesia embrace the challenge in 2018, PT SKY, an Indonesia aerospace manufacturing company start the initiative at 2020, by configure digital council. This is to facilitate automation and digitalization initiative within the organization. The team member is part timer from cross function department, who passionate and occupy by self-develop skill on it. Recent challenge of growth of customer demand, and some constraint face by digital council, management view an opportunity to be cost competitive organization company, by develop more focus on automation and digitalization. However, a challenge for company in low-cost country, require proper strategy approach. Based on organization design theory, strategy, and organization structure, have correlation. This study explores the propose organizational design for the company. A decision-making analysis performed thru AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) approach to select highest ranking of three alternatives of organization structure, with three criteria. Result analysis show hybrid as highest-ranking score 0.464, then follow by semi structured interview, thematic data analysis, to collect the insight from the team. Based on research execution, the study able to recommends hybrid organization structure with three important actions, to bridge from current digital council ad hoc organization.  Keywords:  Organization design, manufacturing, AHP, Industry 4.0

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the study was to investigate factors that contribute to the success of technology transfers. The specific objectives were to investigate 1) technological capabilities acquired by recipient firms through the technology transfer at the project level, 2) contributory factors that influence technology transfer, and 3) whether technological capabilities acquired by recipient firms are affected by these contributory factors. The study was conducted in Sri Lanka. The study developed a set of success factors and performance indicators to assess technological capabilities acquired by technology recipient firms. The study found two main types of technological capabilities gained by recipient firms through the technology transfer - “converting and acquiring capability” and “vending, modifying and generating capability”. Further, the study found five contributing factors for technology transfer - process management, intended use of technology, transfer components, technology needs analysis, and IP protection and licensing. It is also found that all five contributing factors significantly positively predict both types of technological capabilities gained by recipient firms through technology transfer. The findings of the study presented in this paper make valuable contributions to the existing literature on technology management and technology transfer. Abstract

Abstract. Electricity consumption continues to rise alongside population growth and infrastructure development. Unfortunately, the majority of energy consumption is still reliant on fossil fuels. Commercial buildings and residences are major contributors to electricity consumption, accounting for 63.04% of the total usage. In the healthcare sector, clinics and hospitals also require significant electrical energy, contributing to a 21% rise in national electricity demand. Additionally, occupants' behavior influences electricity consumption by 30%. Faced with these challenges, the use of renewable energy, such as solar power, holds great potential for providing sustainable energy. This research aims to simulate energy consumption to aid in the selection of solar panel technology, considering occupant behavior. By understanding accurate electricity consumption, solar panels that meet the needs can be chosen to ensure long-term sustainability. Simulation of electricity consumption using dynamic system methods is performed to acquire daily electricity consumption data, a critical criterion in solar panel selection. The study's results indicate that user behavior in utilizing electrical appliances significantly impacts overall energy consumption. The study implies the importance of understanding behavior to properly recognize actual electricity consumption. Keywords: Energy consumption, simulation, system dynamic, user behaviour.

Abstract

Abstract.  This study investigates the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation on recruitment outcomes, focusing on the mediating role of candidate experience and the moderating effects of trust in AI and organizational culture. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from HR professionals across various industries in Indonesia. The results reveal that AI implementation positively affects candidate experience and quality of hires, with candidate experience acting as a significant mediator in these relationships. Trust in AI is found to play a dual role, both directly influencing candidate experience and quality of hires and moderating the relationship between AI implementation and candidate experience. Organizational culture, particularly an innovation-oriented culture, strengthens the impact of AI implementation on candidate experience. The study contributes to the theoretical understanding of candidate experience as a higher-order construct and highlights the importance of trust and cultural alignment in AI-driven recruitment. Practical implications emphasize the need for transparent AI systems, regular feedback, and fostering an innovation-oriented culture to enhance recruitment outcomes. Limitations include the cross-sectional design and the focus on a single country, suggesting opportunities for future research to explore longitudinal effects and cross-cultural comparisons.  Keywords: Artificial intelligence, candidate experience, trust, organizational culture, quality of hires
